Rep Power: 89 | | Go buy a bottle of vitamin C and start taking 2000mg daily--it will help flush that cold out of your system!! If they are 500mg tablets, take one about every 4hrs.
And some chicken noodle soup doesn't hurt, either. Poor Paul. I'm trying my best to baby you from afar..lol |

Quick update . Still sick but I'm functional (at work). Just got off the phone with one of my friends in Fl and she is sick too. Needless to say my voice sounds like crap right now *L*
I might go get me some chicken noodle soup from the chinese place tonight after work . I thought about that for lunch. I wonder how much sodium is in that tho ?
Thanks Jenna and Kimberly for the vitamin recomendations. I actually think I have some somewhere at home but I'm not sure what they are exactly.
I'm one of those types of people who put off taking any kind of medication or vitamins if at all possible. Normally I can shake a cold like this in a couple of days , this one is sticking with me tho
I'm still drinking my water and exercising at least |

I bet drinking all this water will work it out. I drink pineapple juice when I get sick. TONS of vitamin C, & I feel like my body will absorb it easier since its in a food/juice form rather than a pill that needs to break down.
(on a side note.... don't too a mega dose of Vit C in anyway... I can speak from experience it has a nasty, although I'm sure detoxifying side effect!)

Rep Power: 8 | | | Paul, you can make chicken noodle soup really easily at home! And that way you know the ingredients are fresh and you control how much salt you use. When you have some free time, boil a chicken and refrigerate it (chicken plus liquid). Then for each meal just take out however much you want to eat, put it in a pan, bring back to the boil, add whatever vegetables you want (tomatoes/mushrooms/asparagus are good), and add noodles. Add some salt too, for taste, but it's going to be less than they use at the take-away place. |

Rep Power: 89 | | Take the vitamin C--if you take 500mg every 4 hrs you won't OD on it--your body flushes it out pretty quickly--especially if you're drinking craploads of water.
Anyway, typical man. I'm just gonna be miserable and not take anything for it..lol Vitamins are not medicine--so take some!! lol. |

Rep Power: 18 | | | Thanks for all the advice ladies.
I think I like Mals prescription, especially if it's a woman *LOL*
I'm actually feeling better this evening . I can take a pretty decent breath through my nose finally *L* As long as I'm this good in the morning I'll be ok.
I did stop and get take out from the chinese place tonight. What the hell! I blew the calorie count for the day *L* I'm going to count it as a cheat meal since I didn't have one over the weekend and maybe it'll kick my matabolism in the ass . Only thing I'm really worried about it all the sodium and all the water I've been taking in. I might be pretty bloaty tomorrow *L* We shall see! |

9/4 Rode Exercise Bike 15 miles this evening (30 minutes)
245 miles total Rode since starting on 8/11
Drank 147 Oz of Water
I actually videotaped my bike riding tonight. Why ? I don't know *L* You don't really see me much , just my legs . I did an over the shoulder type of view on the speedometer and mileage readout. I'm going to see if I can condense it down from 30 minutes to under 10 minutes and put it on youtube. I'm pretty sure I can speed it up. I want to keep it as one continuous shot though. No cutting the clip. We'll see. I'm still learning to use this editing program. |

I don't exactly look all that hot while I'm doing it..lmao. Although my H thinks I look all pretty when I'm done--I guess he's into the sweaty, red-faced look! lmao. Anyway Paul, I'd be very curious to see this clip sometime!! |

And yes.. that would be my best chinese accent. (I have tons of Chinese aunties, so I know how that sounds.. LMAO!)
Oh oh... and since you're being creative over there with your video editing. How about you fix me up a clip of you dancing all hot to........
"Take Me Home Tonight" by Eddie Money. LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (If you're old like me, then you'll understand.)

Rep Power: 12 | | | Hey there MGG - I hope you are feeling better. I had a summer cold last week and started taking 2000mg Vitamin C to help kick it in the ass. Over the holiday wekend I drank a lot of orange juice too. I also had a few beers but that's beside the point. Anyway, I am feeling better...I think it was the beer.
You are doing great on that bike - keep going.

I can't import anything from itunes so I'll have to dig up something *L* I'll do it in a day or so. |

Ahh , promises promises ! *LOL*
"Take Me Home Tonight" huh, only if you can get Ronnie Spector to drop by and sing the "be my little baby" part of the chorus. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
