$13k?? That does suck ass. Steve is right--check out other insurance options. Heck--even if you have to pay $400 a month--it still beats $13k. Just cancel the insurance after you get the surgery...lol. Just be mindful of pre-existing conditions. Make sure you check that out. I don't know if a new insurance co would consider that a pre-existing condition and cover it.
Congrats on the new low!!
What about dumbells? Do you have any? You can do a lot of strength training without expensive and bulky gym equipment. I do.

Well I talked to the Drs office and my insurance company yesterday. Seems someone might have made a mistake. I'm waiting to hear back from the Drs office because I gave them a name a phone # of a rep at the insurance company who basically told me they had not been contacted about coverage by anyone since 2001 and that based on what I told him I should have benefits for this type of procedure but he couldn't say for sure without the proper info from the Drs office..sooooo I have to wait now for everyone to get on the same page. Keep your fingers crossed!

Well that's potentially good news! I hope it turns out in your favor.
If you want your weight loss to speed up you'll do it. No whining about that unless you really start pumping iron and see no results. Then you can whine all you want.
