Rep Power: 17 | | Hajni, yes i do have msn messenger also. I use that and yahoo more then anything since sometimes i get on just to chat for a few before doing my workout or something. i found it an excellent way to give someone a quick motivation saying or something when you can't or don't have a lot of time. ajfavegrl@hotmail.com is the email for the msn messenger. i am usually on that more then yahoo but turn on both each day. |

Rep Power: 20 | | | Got my new scale My new scale arrived today. Well, it shows 0.8 lb more than my old one. I guess it will be only a problem in the first weigh in, after that the progress is what counts.
It measures my body fat and BMI also. I will take those measurements tomorrow morning for comparison.
I did good on food today, although I am not going to list it, it is just too long
Went to have boot-camp. The owner/instructor will be on vacation next week, but we would all like to keep going, so I am going to be "teaching" the class. Being a senior member of the class. It is a circuit training and pretty much everybody knows what to do, all we have to look out for is the change of stations in every minute.
I feel very tired today. The class and the running did me in, plus I did not sleep well or enough last night.
I will be going to bed soon. |

Glad to see you got your scale in. Does it tell you the body fat percentage and bmi from the scale? Sorry your so sore. I know after my workout tonight I will be pretty sore too. I am going to kick it up a gear tonight I did 60 crunches already today but am going to try to do another 120 tonight plus my walking dvd and some weights just not sure what i am going to work out whether it be the legs and stuff or the upper area yet tonight.
hope you feel better and are having a great day. |

I felt bad about not running in the morning, so I got home from work and ran yesterday 3 miles. did not do any other exercise though.
this morning, I was just so tired, but pushed myself for 45 min on the treadmill but I did not run. I put it on 4% incline and 3.5-4 mi/hr speed and fast walked. My HRM was losing its mind this morning. It kept showing me my heart-rate at a 222-200 range???? I know it was around 125-140 the whole time. I hope this problem will not be persistent.
Heather, my scale does show the body fat and the bmi. It has to be set up to 4 users and it remembers the last measurements. it needs your age, gender and height for calculation. It is pretty slick. and seems to be accurate as it showed the same body fat percentage as I was measured at the gym. i only use this feature once a week, but I measure my weight every day.
so i was 165.4 this morning, pretty good considering the 0.8 lb difference between the new and the old scale.
Tomorrow is weigh in day for me. Shooting for 165, I will be happy with that.
List my food later.
so here is to a good day!! |

I was not disappointed this morning!! 164.4, a loss of 1.6 lbs!!!! And this is with my new scale that shows almost a lb higher than my old one was. YAY!!
I was working hard at it last week, really concentrating and it paid off. Now I just have to keep it up!!
In that light, I did not run this morning, just couldn't scrape myself out of bed. But boot-camp is tonight, so I just get there 30 min early and will do the elliptical, it will make up for not running this morning.
My hubby finally got to the point of believing that this time it will really work and I will really lose those lbs. This is almost like a sugar high!! I am so proud of myself and so happy that I am doing this.
I seem to have more self-confidence and finally feel I am getting to be an attractive young woman again.!!
Enough of my self-praise here, but if you read this, you should know : you can do it and you can reach your goals if you are willing to work for it!! |

Rep Power: 20 | | | Got my turbo jam dvd went to the gym, did boot camp and 20 min on the elliptical. I did very good with food today: about 1400 calories.
Got my turbo jam dvd, for the days of no boot-camp. I tried to do the 11 moves and I think I am physically challenged!! Man, some of the moves I had to watch and try like 4 times before I think I got it but I am still not sure. this will be interesting!
Got the results back from the doctor. There is nothing wrong with my thyroid, so I guess I am just fit that's why my resting heart rate is so slow.
I can officially say that binging is the past. I am so careful (sp) about food, the first thing I think about : man how many calories are in this thing and how long would it take me to exercise it off? |

Rep Power: 17 | | | Hello Hello Hanji, I'm finally making it to the diaries here at 10:54 pm and still gotta get my butt up and get my workout in.. lol i played around all day on the computer since i had to fix my mom's stupid computer and its still wasn't working right with her tonight. anyways I'm glad your feeling more confident. I can't wait for that feeling of accomplishment knowing that I can do this with the help of friends like you is a great feeling just to start out with. Keep up the great work.
I was thinking of trying the turbo jam dvd too it seems pretty interesting on the tv when i see the infomericals now if i can just find a place to rent it from without having to buy it first. anyways i am going to get off and do my exercise so i can go to bed saying that i did my workout today instead of being a lazy person today. at least i watched my cals today but still managed to end up around 1500 cals which isn't to bad.
See you tomorrow online and hope you have a great day at work. |

You really on a role! I want to get back on my excercise route this week.I really feel the diffrence when I dont excercise I just feel so sluggish.
I cant wait to get to the point where I can look at food and think about the calories and not eat it- I can do it with some things like pretzels and fast food for the most part but its the little things that do me in.
Keep up the good work. |

Rep Power: 20 | | | turned out to be a great day after all Hi Heather, Hi Rimay, thanks for stopping by!!
I only ran 1.5 mi in the morning, I was exhausted. Work was even more brain-straining, got home and was ready to call it a day. Somehow I found an inner strenght and my curiousity took over to try my new Turbo Jam DVD. I am glad I did. I can see how this will be an awesome workout. I just have to became familiar with the moves. It burns calories like crazy, I burned over 200 calories just with the introduction part, then I hopped on the treadmill and did another mile. so all and all it was a great day. Burned about 500 cal. despite the fact the I was kind of thinking of taking a rest day.
Breakfast:
2 veggies sausage links, 2 slices ww bread w/fat free cream-cheese, 1/2 c. milk, 1 small apple
Snack:
1 peach
Lunch:
Lean Cuisine pasta with sauce
2 c. steamed broccoli
Snack:
1/2 c. fat free cottage cheese
2 rice cakes
Dinner:
Low fat muffin
2 ww bread with 1 tbs of reduced fat peanut butter
3 strawberries.
Tomorrow's plan is to run 3 miles and do the introduction of Turbo Jam again. My friend is coming over to visit in the afternoon, I am going to cook a vegetarian chicken pot-pie. Yummy!!
Hope everybody is having a great weekend!!! |

Rep Power: 17 | | woohoo Hajni, Your doing great. I know earlier you said you were thinking about taking a rest day. Congrats on doing the turbo jam intro again and getting another mile in on the treadmill even though you were exhausted. I am hoping to get the dvd too but need to figure out where to get it and how much it cost. Can you tell me where you got it at? Ok thanks.
Hope you have a great weekend. |

Rep Power: 20 | | | Hi Heather, sorry I didn't post yesterday. One of our friends was visiting from out of state and we spent the whole afternoon with her.
I got my turbo jam on E-bay, but I wish I had not. It is a copy, it works and everything is fine, but for a copy I paid too much. Saturday:I kept my food in check, had un-chicken veggie pot-pie (homemade) for dinner with our friend, but not a huge portion, and a lot of water, no desserts. I did sin earlier in the day when my husband was eating ice-cream, i just had to have a bite, and all I had was one tablespoonful, so that shouldn't count!!
Did turbo jam for 35 min, still at the learn and burn stage and the 20 min work-out. I can't pass this part, I found myself jumping around like a monkey at some parts because I just can't follow the routine yet. Also ran 1 mile after that, burning about 500 cal according to my HRM. Sunday:
Today is great, but was so busy, we are still working on our house and were putting posts in on the porch. I wasn't helping much, but had to be there just in case.
I did do the 35 min. turbojam and ran 3 mi. after. Just finished and had lunch. Burned 750 cal.
I think I am improving as far as running goes: now 5mi/hr is a good pace for me and I can keep it up for a long period of time. Before it was 4.5-4.8 mi/hr. Small improvement, but improvement.
Still have to cook today for the rest of the week and I was supposed to go through my clothes, I am ready for a size smaller than I am wearing now. I am not sure I will have time.
I will check in later and check everybody's diary out.
Have a great day. |

Rep Power: 17 | | | sounds like you have been busy Wow i don't think i have enough food to cook a whole week worth of food for myself and my family not to mention alex doesn't always want what i cook for me and my mom. So sometimes i am making more then 1 meal either way. Well hope you are having a great day. What size are you getting ready to move down to anyways? I'm hoping by the end of the month that i may be able to fit in my size 24's comfortably but not sure one that one as they were still pretty tight when i tried them on a few weeks ago.
keep up the good work and will talk to you at work tomorrow if you get a chance to get on. I know i will be on and off tomorrow since alex has an appt at 1pm which we have to be there 15 minutes early. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
