Rep Power: 20 | | Hi Heather, thanks for stopping by.
When I started my weight loss journey, my main down fall was is not knowing my portions. I eat healthy generally, but just too much. I needed help with that. So I joined E-diets when they told me my food for the whole week, breaken down to days and individual meals with recepies...etc. I did that for about 4 months and learned my portions, also learned that if I had my food planned for a whole week, less likely I will binge or eat foods that are not good for me.
So I am still sticking to this.
I have a whole week of food figured out for me and my family, so I don't cook during the week. MY DH takes lunch from home every day, so he eats cooked food twice a day. And he eats a lot!!!
I usually cook things that are good for more than just a couple of days... Like today I did:
- roasted tomato sauce (from fresh tomatoes) and just need to cook pasta for it during the week & some veggie sausages
- squash, beans, tomato stew (need to cook rice for it)
- sheperds pie (vegetarian version with lentils)
- curried tempeh & apple dish (needs rice)
- hungarian stuffed cabbage (with meat substitute)
I usually try for one potato, rice and pasta dish, and make sure there is enough protein in all. My baby eats whatever I cook, thankfully she is not picky. And of course there are nights when just have something frozen, although I try to limit those occassions. Like a veggie burger or frozen Quorn chicken(veggie) cutlets with frozen veggies...etc.
When I switched over to be a vegetarian i knew I would have to be very concious of my eating to get the right balanced meals, enough protein, calcium, iron...stb.
The good part is : I don't have to cook during the week, or if I have to it is something like a 5 min. thing!!!
Everyone have a good night.!! |

Rep Power: 20 | | | Another awesome day. This day turned out to be awesome. i ran in the morning, only 2.5 miles though, I just couldn't do more. Oh, well at least I moved my big butt.
At work I had a deadline today, and YAY I was able to meet it. I even over-exceeded my own requirements!!
Boot camp was good, there was only another lady and I but we had a blast and did the whole thing. I burned 450 calories just with boot-camp and another 250 with running, so that is 700 today. I am happy with that.
I am just generally feeling good, this weight is coming off , no ends and buts (not even mine ) about it!!!
Ok ,so my food for the day. Breakfast :: oat bran cereal with fat free milk, almonds, wheat germ, raisins. Coffee Snack: 1 medium apple Lunch: Lean Cuisine pizza (I know I seem to eat these all the time..), bowl of salad (lettuce, tomato, radish cucumber) no salad dressing, 1/2 c. cantaloupe snack: 1/2 c. trail mix Dinner: 1 slice baked tofu (about 3.5 oz), steamed baby carrots, snow-peas, brown rice. 1 small plum
Water: at least 90 oz.
I am really trying to be 163 this week, it would mean almost 1.5lbs loss, I would be very happy with that. We'll see. I am measuring myself everyday, but record it only on Thursdays. |

Rep Power: 20 | | Did not exercise this morning, lazy...
I already made arrangements to exercise after work for 1 hour. So I am good.
I have clothes ranging from size 6-16. I am wearing 12 now but these almost fall off of me. This morning I tried on one of my size 10 jeans, and it fit no problems!!! So this weekend I am cleaning out my closet and organizing my clothes. I am so exited!!
List my foods later. |

Rep Power: 20 | | | Great day HI Tammy, thanks for visiting my diary. Yes, I am finally back to my pre-baby weight but now I have to lose the 20 lbs I was always overweight with.
Ok, so came home and did my exercise. 35 min. turbo jam and ran 3 mi. on treadmill. burnt 750 cal.
The running experience was interesting. This is how it went:
0.25 mi : ankle starts hurting like crazy, thinking about giving up
0.50 mi: ankle pain goes away just before I give up
0.75 mi: eyes are glued to the screen, the mile is never going to be here!!
1 mi : no way I am doing my 3 miles today, just push a little more...
1.25 mi : I am about to die, will stop at 1.5
1.5 mi: my fav. song comes on ipod, promise to push through it
1.75 mi, want to reach 2 mi
2 mi : I am not going to stop now!!
3 mi: done!!!
I am very happy I did it.
My food for the day:
BREAKFAST : oatmeal w/walnuts, raisins, 1c. fat free milk, coffee
SNACK: nothing . Had a financial meeting at work with the big-wigs, it took 2.5 hrs, missed my snack.
LUNCH: soybean, tomato, lettuce salad with reduced fat honey mustard dressing. 1 c. cantaloupe, 4 small breadsticks
SNACK: 1 medium apple with reduced fat p.butter
DINNER : lettuce, tomato, honey-mustard dressing salad (about 3 c ),
veggie burger with 2 slice ww bread, mustard ketchup. 1/2 c. blueberries. 1 fruit pop, no sugar
I have no idea how many calories, probably about 1400.
Off to check out some diaries. |

Rep Power: 20 | | | Another good day. 3 good days in a row!! I am enjoying this!!
Ran 2.5 miles this morning, somehow I find it hard to get up early but I know I just have stick with if for a while until it becomes second to nature. Burnt 250 cal.
Day at work was good, busy but good.
My daughter is finally starting to behave, we had a couple of rough days with her. The "terrible two's" is on full force here.
Food for the day:
Breakfast : 1 slice ww bread with 1 tbs peanut butter, 6 oz plain fat free yogurt, 1/2 c. blueberries.
Snack: forgot to bring anything to work..
Lunch: my last Lean Cuisine pizza, 1 c blueberries, 1/2 c fat free milk.
Snack: 6 oz plain yogurt, 1 kiwi
Dinner: Un-chicken patty, 2 slice ww bread, 1 tbs nayonaise, lettuce, 2 c. steamed broccoli, 1 fruit bar (no sugar)
I have no idea about the calories... hopefully around 1300-1400.
Just finished my turbo jam 45 min. turbo party. Wow, that moved my butt. burned 400 cal. only 400 because i got tired at the end I only followed the last 15 min half-heartedly, I need to work up the stamina for this.

Rep Power: 20 | | | Weigh In Day Thanks Heather for visiting! MY WEIGH IN DAY
I was not disappointed: 162.6 !!!!! YEAH
I even saw 162.4, but I measured again for accuracy and out of 3 times stepping on the scale it was 162.6 twice, so that is what I am going with. That's a 1.8 lbs loss for me this week!!
Now I just have to keep it up like I have been. Oh, please have me strenght.
This way my original goal of 160 by the end of August does not seem such a distant reality anymore!! I am really going to work hard for this!!
Everybody, have a great day and wishing you a weigh in day just as successful as mine was.
Edit: I think i am going to make it my goal to exercise off 750 cal/day with my HRM from now on and see. It seems that is what made the difference in the last couple of weeks.

Rep Power: 11 | | YAY for 162!!!Your fight with the treadmill deamons sound aot like mine-I usually just cover the reading with a towel it works out better that way!!!I am so mental I dont even run a with a watch on I check the time before I leave the house and when I return if I remember.Your definitely going to hit 160 by the end of the month no doubt!!!You need to sign up for your 5K if you sign up and pay your money I am sure you will not want to just not show up!
I am thinking about training for a half marathon-crazy ha?!?! I Just want to know if I can do it I think distance might be my thing-
Oh tell me about those freaking terrible 2s my son makes me want to hang him out to dry. He is so vicious the last weeks he does not listen I have to repeat everything 10x and even then he doesnt listen only when I scream and I hate to scream at him I makes me sad.I am so glad I potty trained him last summer because if i had to go through this and potty training I might have ended up with post partum depression having the baby at home.I cant wait unitl january, thats when he starts preschool!!!!! |

I am not so coordinated and found it at first hard to follow but also realizing that it is getting easier to follow with every time .With time and more repetition I am going to do it just fine. It burns calories like crazy!! And it is fun, you hardly realize the time. It is definetely the best work-out DVD I have done to date.
I should look into the South Beach pizzas, the only thing is I am vegetarian so it limits my choices... Quote:

I completed my goal of burning 750 cal. with exercise today. Went to the gym after work , got there 30 min early, so just hopped on the elliptical. Then I taught a class of boot-camp, pushing myself hard, then back the gym, jumped on some of the mashines to reach my 750 burn.
My food for the day: Breakfast :: 2 kashi waffles with apple sauce on top and fresh blueberries (1/2c), 2 tbs walnuts, 1 c. fat free milk. Snack: 1/2c oat bran cereal, 1/2c. fat free milk Lunch: Lean Cuisine three cheese rigatoni. Snack: 1/2 tbs peanut butter, that is all I had at work... Dinner:: Baked tofu, (3.5 oz) put into two half ww pita breads with 1 slice of reduced fat swiss cheese, bowl of salad(lettuce, tomato, radish), 1 kiwi
Water: over 100 oz.
Looking forward to tomorrow. Sunday we have plans seems I won't be able to work out, but I have to think of something..
