Oh no! Why is your gym closed? Not for good, I hope. Maybe you should try some "horseback riding" or "gardening." It seems to work for Sheryl pretty welll...
Well, as you all know I am the chef at a big university. I use their student rec center (because it's stocked to the max and very cheap for me), and they close for 8 days before school to clean, lube, etc etc etc all the machines.
I found another gym...the football team said I could use some of the equip in the stadium here. It is only weight machines and bikes, but will be enough to keep me where I am, even if I can't gain more muscle or lose more weight.
I am in the middle of interviewing for a new chef manager. He will be over me in the kitchen (thank GOD, because when I go to school in the spring...we will need another chef). The one we have as a candidate at the moment seems great...he went to a similar culinary school as me, and is very interested in the whole process. He also asked me where the gym was, and how much it cost to join...so maybe a new lifting buddy (he's a bit older than me, and may not be able to keep up...but might be fun none-the-less).
Anyway, that's it for the night...I did not work out yet tonight, so I am off to do some in-house stuff..stretching and '-ups and the like. I will check back later.
just dropping in to check up on how things are going. Cool beans that the football staff is allowing you access to their workout equipment. (Did you use the mineral oil threat? tsk tsk.. lol jk) So yesterday I was MMA training and thought about you, so I amped it up and played songs from the following bands: Hatebreed, TOOL (you know me.. haha), A Perfect Circle, Smashing Pumpkins, Nine In Nails, Primus, GWAR (haha yah.. Gwar), Deftones (Around the Fur Album), Hate Department, White Zombie, Disturbed, and a few others. Talk about a good freaking sweat. Good luck with the interview btw!!
How goes ladies (and gents, but mostly women on my diary for some reason....must be the lips.)
I am stressing this week... Catering this weekend is rough. I only have three cooks at the moment (during dinner...the college kids aren't back yet), and we are sitting on over 9 dinner caterings in three days. The smallest of said caterings is 88 people, and the largest is 560. While doing this we have to maintain meals for 450 3 times a day in the dining hall.
So, that being said, if I get quiet later in the week, it is from being exhausted, and not from me ignoring the diary.
I did some reading, and you all sound like you're doing great. Keep it up.
