Well forgot to weigh myself this morning so I have no idea where my weight fell. That and my scales are doing a funky weird thing anyway. I have one of those digital scales that tells you your body fat %, % of hydration, yada yada yada. You get the idea. Well now when I go to step on it (gotta poke it so it knows who is stepping on) it starts flashing YES at me. The first time it did that to me I thought it was quite comical as I was standing there wondering if I had lost any weight. And it starts flashing YES at me like it is one of them Magic 8 Balls. You know-ask it a question, shake it up, turn it over and it would usually say something like "Ask again later" or " Decidely so".
And of course that was the day I got on and it told me I was down to 214. But now it is doing it all the time. Poke it, flashes YES for like 20 seconds and then shuts off or heaven forbid starts the whole process over by itself.
I am thinking it may just need new batteries. I hope that is all it needs because right now would not be a good time to "need" a new scale.
My new (used) ab dolly came in today. MIL wanted to check it out so I let her have at it. She is turning 74 in November and was going at it like a pro. Not in the best of form but moving it none the less. She said something to the effect that if it wasn't for her knees she would probably get one for herself. Needless to say I was quite impressed!!!!!!
I may have over done it abit on the cals today. Dh threw away my water bottle (swear the thing was like my wubbie) last night. How crazed was I that I got really mad about him throwing away a regular, nothing special 20oz water bottle.
So I think since my tummy wasn't full of water for most of the day ( I know I can drink water other ways but I am telling you that bottle was my wubbie. Without it I am lost!) I just kinda munched thru most of the day. I didn't munch anything bad just probably more than I needed to. Did go for a quick walk. Skeeters are still bad but not nearly as bad as a few days ago.
I am looking forward to really getting down to business tomorrow with my new ab dolly, Denise Austin dvd and the elliptical. That and I will be the one cooking the dinner meals for the rest of the week. MIL cooked last night and it was a carb-o-licious meal. I was falling asleep on the couch by 8:45-9:00. And of course there were left overs so we had those for supper tonite.
I am thinking tomorrow will be a good day for a fish dish.
Well anyway all in all today was a good day.
Hope everyone else's day went well. |

I can just imagine MIL doing the ab dolly - too cute!
You need to get yourself to Wally-World and get a real water bottle - I've heard it's not too safe to keep using the flimsy plastic stuff over and over anyway.
Wanna go shopping? LOL
It sounds like you had a great day. Today would be a good day for a walk because it's not going to be too hot - and those skeeters don't like the cold. I think they were all in my bedroom last night anway.
What Denise Austin DVD did you get?
Have fun! |

Have fun! | I got the one that has like 10 or 12 different excercises that are only aimed at specific areas of the body. So if I want to work my legs one day I can and upper body the next day. |

Great job gettin the walk in anyway- any all exercise is always good.
I agree with "pea" about the water bottle. I had heard that reusing the plastic ones is not good as they are hard to clean well, and can be a breeding ground for germs, etc. I got my hard plastic "nylgene?" bottle at wal-mart and fill it with ice cubes and filter water and drink it through out the day.
I would check the batteries on that scale. I used to have one of the old fashioned ones, but it was too inaccurate and my new one has the weight, and % bodyfat and lets you save the information.
Keep chuggin along, lady! |

When the MIL is gone I will have to come over and work out with you to DA. That would be good fun and silly. Then you can come over here and work out with me on the Dance Dance Revolution. Course we'd have to find something for T-dog to do, because he would want to get in on the action.
You are doing super!!!! |

Rep Power: 35 | | | 213.6! Lets see I didn't post yesterday so I am trying to remember everything from Wednesday.
On wednesday did 20 minutes on the elliptical. Probably could have gone longer but for now I am still trying to work up to feeling really comfortable at 20 minutes. Also went for a really long walk with MIL and my little man.
We walked for about 1-1 1/2 hours. Wasn't really at a fast pace but we were moving.
Kept the cals in check all day and had a Fab~Tab~U~Lous dinner!
Had steamed Halibut with a garlic, parsely and lt. olive oil marinade.
Was De-lish!!! Also had steamed sweet tatoes and steamed cali blend.
If you haven't tried the new Ziploc or glad steaming bags you need to!
They work awesome!
Also got in 15 ab dolly's. Using the new one feels so much different than the other thing I was using. I am still feeling it 2 days later.
Yesterday was good. Hectic but good.
Volunteered @ dd's school for 2 1/2 hours then went to a friends store and painted a picture for fall on her front door. It's very cute if I must say so myself! Mary was just amazed that I was able to do it all free-hand. I would do it for free but she insists on paying me.
Came home got a few things done here (very few) made supper which was Portabella burgers.
Then had to run to my Master Gardner class. Left early so I could chat at my peep Sweatpea but ended up setting up tables instead. So ended up staying late to talk with her. LOL
And then that leads us to today.
Weighed in this morning at 213.6!!!
Still just keeps falling off with minimal effort by me. At some point I know it will stop and then I will have to work of it. But for now I am enjoying it. I plan to do 20 minutes on the elliptical before I go to work and 15 ab dollys as well.
I need to go take a nap before I even think of heading to work. The last 3 weekends in a row I haven't gotten home until 4 am and it would not work well at all to try to stay up for 22 hours. And then only be able to get like 6-7hours of sleep the next day.
I still can't figure why I lose so much on the weekends but I am going to pay close attention this weekend to my weight and see how it goes.
Had someone on here tell me that as long as it was working (whatever "it " is) to just roll with it. At some point it will stabilize itself and then I can worry about everything. For now not to worry.
So with that I hope you all have a GREAT weekend.
Good luck to any who are on the Caspers Challenge!!!! |

Rep Power: 43 | | Bell, I wish pounds dropped off me, like they are dropping off your girlfriend, WOW!! That's all I have to say! I'm still doing my ab roller, did 20 again last night, while grunting and groaning, my hubby was laughing it was pretty funny if I should say so myself. But it hurts so I know it's working! Plus, I think my stomach is shrinking I see it in the mirror now, so I'm not going to stop. So when does your company leave? I'm sure your ready to get things back in normal order. It's hard to entertain all the time, I know. Well, have yourself a FABULOUS weekend, hopefully you don't have to work. I'll check back in on Monday. Chow Babes!

I made the portabella burger. Mmmm! dh said we need to make it once a week. :~/ I also made some roasted red-skinned potatoes to go with it. Yum!
Tomorrow I'm going to make the turkey sausage w/ peppers that she has on her site.
Well that's why I called earlier - I didn't want to put goat cheese on it - yuck! And, I was calling to see what you used. I ended up using provolone. But I think it would taste good with just about any cheese.
Thanks for the tip! |

Rep Power: 35 | | | Making this quick~ Okay weighed in today for the Halloween challenge and came in at 213 even.
I want to feel excited about it but hubby is really bringing me down. Telling me how I shouldn't be wieghing all the time and that it (weight coming off) will stop and that I "will" get discouraged.
Well he will at least get his one wish for a week. As now we are not to weigh ourselves again until next Saturday. That is going to be so hard for me.
But I will do what is nescessary to win this challenge.
So I need to get going as the kiddos and I are going to go for a walk on the trails.
Dh seems to think that by checking up on everything on WLF that I am ignoring the kids and not spending enough time with them. Funny how that shoe doesn't fit on the other foot when he sits and watches TV all afternoon (Cubbies baseball) and doesn't invite them on the walks he goes on because he doesn't feel they can keep up. Sorry if I am sounding ticked off. He goes and does this every time is mother is around. We have to pretend to be the perfect family and it's a load of crap. All it does is put a ton of stress on me as I am no longer to be myself. And of course it will not help to have MIL here for another week and a half and be having what I affectionatly call "Ralph". Next week oughta be a whole lotta fun around here!! hahaha
So that's it in a nutshell.
Hopefully I will be able to come around daily but to fix his ruffled up feathers I'll probably have to back off the 'puter for a few days.
Hope everyone else's weekend goes better than mine! |

Rep Power: 20 | | That is disappointing to hear. Maybe he is trying to be supportive but just dosnt know exactly how. I doubt you are neglectful of the children, and by going for walks with them you are teaching them good habits! Is it possible that he is jealous? Or worried that if you succeed, you may change?
No matter, you have to do this for YOU! Sure the kids, hubby, certain events in your life can inspire you, but if you dont do it for yourself, its doubtful that it will last.
Keep doing what you are doing, as your body will thank you in the long run.
Hang in there!
(and HIDE THAT SCALE ! lol) |

I know how it can feel to be discouraged. You are doing what you can for support and if you aren't finding it at home you have to get it from some where!
Like I said earlier, just get things done that need to be done and get online afterwards. That way there are no complaints! Of course it also helps me to get on a little in the morning for some inspiration.
Take care ~ |

Rep Power: 43 | | Bell, Don't let the hubby get you down. Your doing a fantastic job and your doing it for "YOU" and nobody else!! Keep it up, he might just get nervous that if your losing weight, your going to have more eyes on you if you get my drift. Guys get a little insecure when they think their spouses/girlfriends are losing weight, it some how has to be about something other than doing it for yourself, does that make sense?? Like Ulterior motives or something. But, what he's forgetting is, If YOU feel good about yourself, it makes you a happier person to be around. And isn't that what it's all about anyways?? Don't worry about not posting every day, we know your out there and trying to do what's right for you and your family. I wish you the best of luck!! Hope your day is a good one! :
