What a nice day. MIL and I went to the mall.........shopping! The lady is finally talking my language!!!
She accidentally shrunk a new shirt of mine and feeling bad about it bought me a new one.
SIZE 16-18!!!! Yippee!!
Also yesterday I was able to get into a pair of the jeans that I couldn't get into at the beginning of this journey!!!!!!!
So I say who needs the scale when success can be measured in clothing!!!???
Me. There I admit it. I still need the scale. I crave the scale. I want the scale!!!
Urrggg!
I haven't got on it though. But I do feel like the 213 that I saw on Saturday must have surely been a figment of my imagination.
I just feel like I am going to get on on Saturday and majorly disappoint my team and myself by gaining.
It doesn't help that "ralph" will be in for his monthly visit. Full-blown on Saturday.
But I will remain strong. Surprisingly the one thing about this whole no scale thing is that I actually feel like I have a desire to exercise?! Go figure?!
Anyway, gotta go. The spaghetti squash is calling my name from the oven and I gotta get it all done in the next 15 minutes!
Loves ya all!!!! |

Rep Power: 35 | | | Oopsy~daisy So here is the recap for the rest of yesterday.
The spaghetti squash didn't make it to the supper table. Got it all around and realized that I only had about 1/2 cup of sauce to cover 6 people. So made a snap decision and ordered pizza out. Since MIL was wanting it I figured that would kill 2 birds with one stone. I only had 2 pieces of cheese pizza so feel that I did ok.
Took dd around the neighborhood to raise money for Light the Night. She raised and amazing $140! If you haven't heard of light the night it is a 2 mile walk where all the benefits go to the Luekemia and Lymphoma Society. My mother currently is in remission from her Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. It's her 2nd remission since she found out that she had it 5 years ago.
Sooooooo........
Today was a very busy day. Unlike yesterday where I didn't drink any water at all (Bad Bad Bad) today I got all my water in and then some.
Went to our "local" flea market in Amish country with my best peep Sweatpea and of course MIL. Didn't get to look at a whole lot as MIL looks at everything!!!! Barely made it thru 3 aisles, well 4 if you count the fruit/vegetable/flower aisle.
Had a really tasty lunch at this fab~tab~u~lous restaurant. Chicken Montery (sp?) with steamed cali blend and a side salad. Had them remove all the cheese and sauce from the chicken and bring it out on the side. I think I did fairly well today. I did have 1 bite of pie from 3 different people at the table but I can't magine 3 individual bites would add up to too much.
Now eating all the cheese samples at the Cheese Factory probably did add up. But it was soooooo good. I just love cheeses.
Didn't eat any dinner since I figured that I was way up on the cals with all the cheese and the sesame sticks I bought.
Took dd to the Light the Night walk and walked the entire route with her. Two miles. Was pretty easy walking until the skeeter bugs came out and they started to chew me to pieces.
At the end of the walk they were giving out Ben and Jerry Drumstick ice cream thingy's. Dd got one and they thrust one at me as well. Instead of saying "No Thanks" I took the stupid thing. I figured I would take it home to my ds. Little did I know that dd had to potty really bad. So I took her to the restroom and the dumb ice cream started to melt. Could have just thrown it away, it's not like ds would ever know that there was ice cream involved, right? But did I throw it away? NO! I ate the stupid thing. So now tomorrow I absolutely need need need to watch what I eat. At least up til Sweatpea takes me out for my B-day celebration. Which at that point I will relent a little bit.
I am so worried that I will have gained.
Most people use the scale as a way to measure their success'. Not me. I use it to keep myself in check, you know make sure that I am on the right path. But right now I am feeling extremely lost without it.
At least we only have 3 more days left.
So anyhow I figured that I burnd off a few cals walking around the flea market. Not walking fast mind you but I was moving. And then doing the 2 mile walk with dd was a good bit of exercise to.
Well I better get going. I am really tired and need my beauty rest for tomorrow! Hope you all have a wonderful day! |

congrats on being able to fit into those jean!! I know the feeling all too well, at that point it does not matter what the scale says...LOL
I am also with you on the stupid scale thing. I keep eyeing it every morning. Feeling like this week is never going to be over..!!! Also same here with the exercise. Since I am not able to see a progress (or no progress), I just try to work super hard, because I am terrified of seeing a higher number on the scale this SAt. LOL Oh yeah, and my monthly visitor is playing with me, have a feeling it will ruin the whole weigh in by SAt.
anyway, have fun today while you are out with SweatPea celebrating your birthday!! Just think about the saying : "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels".

Rep Power: 26 | | I know I posted the other day - but maybe I'm dreaming? Or maybe it was to your blog....LOL
But it's surely no figment of the ol' imagination - you're looking good Ms. Bell!
I wish I could've went on that walk with you. Durn kids! I had a cousin who passed away from leukemia. He was like one of my bestest cousins growing up. I sure do miss him.
And, I'm sure the ice cream thingy wasn't too bad. If you want, we can take it easy and by-pass dessert tonight. Course I was thinking we could just order and share everything! That way we are only eating half bad. |

Kim | Hey Kim!!!
New "old" jeans. You know the ones you won't throw away because maybe someday you'll wear them again. LOL
Well Someday was Sunday! And it sure felt nice. Can't wait until I actually need to go buy smaller sizes.
And yes the B~Day is rolling around. It will be here Sunday. Sweatpea and I are celebrating early though.
And Thank You for getting me motivated to get on my Ab dolly daily!
If not for you I wouldn't even have one let alone be using it. It was only a passing thought that day that I mentioned it in my diary. But you picked up on it and made a challenge. Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!
And yes Sweatpea is the best. She really helps to keep me on track. I Wub Her!!!! |

Rep Power: 35 | | B~Day Celebration!!! That Sweatpea is one WONDERFUL girl!!
I don't think that I have ever had a friend treat me to such a nice birthday celebration!
First she comes over and gives me my gift~I thought the night out on the town was the gift~but no she actually went and bought a gift too!
She got me an MP3 player!!!! I'd been wanting one for so long and I was just floored. I couldn't believe it. And the card she gave me had a poem in it that nearly brought tears to my eyes. She is definately the bestest friend I have ever had!!!
I am currently sitting here rocking out while I type. My 16yr old set it up for me while we were out celebrating!
She then took me to an Art Gallery where there were some really cool looking sculptures and photographs by an Artist named Sandy something. Sorry Sweatpea I don't remember the last name.
We also saw some questionable art. Questionable by meaning can they really mean that this is art? LOL
It was cool. We took some pics and if she gets them sent to me I will post a few.
She then took me out to eat at a "real" restaraunt. Not an Applebee's or a Lonestar Steak place. A real "there's only one of 'em restaraunt"!
We both got the same thing. These absolutely wonderful Chicken Fajita Stuffed Pitas. Man were they tasty! With fries on the side. I figured I haven't had fries in nearly 7 weeks and don't plan to eat them again any time soon so what the heck. B~Days only roll around once a year right?!
We were naughty for dessert.
Had this brownie covered with peanut butter pie stuff covered with chocolate syrup and cool whip yummy treat! We split that so wasn't as bad as if I had had it all myself!!!!
After that we went to the local outdoor mall and walked around for a bit, stopping at the local Kohls. I bought me some new gym shoes. We then walked around some more. Stopped in the Barnes and Noble and each had a Mocha Lite Frappachino. Ooooooooh baby!!!!
What a wonderful celebration!
I guess I should also add this............up until we had dinner I was fasting all day for my very good friend who has been battling a brain tumor since Mother's Day. Today she had a follow up MRI to see how it was going. And the results were an answer to prayer. There was nothing to be seen!!!!! That means that all the radiation and chemo not to mention surgery has not been for nothing. She will now be heading off to Duke University where they specialize in the type of cancer she has. They want to see if there is anything else they should be doing for her. I will continue to pray that the cancer just disappears. GOD can do mighty things~even in this day and age!!!
So even though it seems like I ate alot that was the only thing I had today besides the 100oz's of water that I drank all day. Oh and the piece of gum I swallowed by accident!!! Duh!
So it probably evened out or only went a bit over. And of course now that I can rock out without waking anyone up at 6 in the morning I will be jumping on the elliptical tomorrow morning first thing!
Sorry this was so long winded but alot of stuff happened today and I tend to type the way I talk. Lots and lots!!!! LOL
Only thing is when your reading it you are saved from hearing how loud I really am!
Working in a freezer has pretty much ruined my ears so I tend to be a loud talker without ever meaning to.
Hope you all had as great a day as I did! |

~Jenna | Thanks Jenna so much for the added extra prayers. Know that I have been praying for your great-aunt ever since you told us about her on your diary.
I am so sorry to hear (I did read it right, right?) that she is not doing well.
Just so you know you didn't miss the birthday. It's actually on Sunday. We were just celebrating early. Since I work on the weekends it would be impossible for me to get together. Or at least it would have. I asked for this weekend off last weekend and surprisingly got it!!
But our plans were already made. So we went with them.
Thanks for stopping by!! Keep up all the hard work. |

Wanted to stop by and see what's been going on with you lately.
Sounds like you had a great b-day celebration with sweetpea! Yay to getting an mp3 player, I know I couldn't live without mine. lol.
And that's so amazing to hear about your friend!!!!! Cancer is such a horrible thing, I've known too many people that have some sort of it. And to see someone pull through and have it go away with treatment is just wonderful! I'll keep her in my prayers that everything keeps going well.
Keep rocking it out hun, just like you always do!
