Is it a plane?
No it's just little ol' me with my willpower of steel!! LOL (Flexing muscles for all to see!)
Yesterday at work they had pizza for us. Two to three slices each. If we wanted them.
I said, "NO!"
I love, love, love pizza. It's one of my fav foods. Or use to be.
Knowing that they were going to have the pizza there I went ahead and packed my lunch. As soon as I found out that they would be serving the pizza starting at 7:30pm I made the decision to have my break 45 minutes earlier. Outta sight , outta mind!
There were a few people we thought I was crazy for eating nothing but some turkey and California blend (along with a few other things ).
This new way of eating has now become normal. I didn't feel deprived in any way at all last night. I am so proud of myself. |

I sorta checked out for a few days. So much stuff going on around here and so little time to get it all done.
So far this week I have gone for 2 really nice walks. I plan to jump on the elliptical tonight for another late night session as there never seems to be time unless it is 5:30 (ugh!) in the morning or late at night. So I'll get it in when it best works for me.
I have been struggling feeling like I am not wanting to "git-r-done". I go thru this everytime I try to lose weight. About the time that everyone starts to notice that I am losing, asking am I losing, I start faltering.
I don't know why, just always seems to work out that way. So this time I am really trying to keep my mind in the game. Struggling though. SIGH
So I need some pep talking here people. Bring it on..........help me to not fail. Cuz' I am worried that I will.
Gotta go pick up my dd from school. So will catch you all later.

| THis is the trap! Don't fall for it! Grit your teeth
and get through it. Get mad at the fat and push through it . Knocking out the exercise is great for ya! I was just telling my brother about exercise - its not the exercise that is hard, its the getting up and getting started that is the hard part. |

That's exactly how I feel. I mean the other day I went for 30 minutes (never done that before) on the elliptical with what felt like ease. So it's not actually the exercising that is getting to me but the "I can't get my fat a** outta bed in the morning attitude" that I am having.
Thanks for the pep talk. I know that everyone else goes through this but it sure is nice to hear it sometimes. Quote:

Thanks Kim for all the encouragement!! Your the bestest computer, never really met in person, (LOL ) ) friend a girl could ever have! Quote:

I put my kids to bed and got on the elliptical. Kim I have to say if it wasn't for you telling me to just do it, tired or not, I don't know that I would have. I almost didn't......very shamed-faced about that admission.
But I did get on and................
I went for 46 and 1/2 minutes!!! I was only going to go the 25+5 cool down that I did last time but I told myself that I could do this. That if I could make it to 30 minutes then I could make it to 35......so on and so on. Also got to a point where I was like I am not getting off this thing until I had hit 3000 revolutions, strides whatever you want to call 'em. Then I get to the 3000 and I see that I am not that far off from 45 minutes. The exact amount that I need for the Halloween challenge. So I was like Ok just get to 45. You CAN do this! I get right on top of the 45 and see that I am about to roll 500 calories so I kept going just so I could see that number! (I am sure that I actually burned more just cuz' our elliptical does not ask for your weight~it's the only major drawback that I have found about it so it goes by an average weight I guess)
I can't tell you how proud I am of myself. I would never have thought that I could do that!
So the stats are like this:
46 1/2 minutes
3241 strides
504 cals
60-72 rpm's
I DID IT!!!! |

Rep Power: 35 | | Got up this morning and weighed myself. Still at the irritating 211. I swear it just sits there and mocks me. Like when we were kids and someone would stick their fingers in their ears and waggle the hands while sticking out the tongue. All the time going nah-nah-nah-nah-nah-nah.
Think I figured out what caused my sudden stop in the weightloss. Or least it didn't help that's for sure.
Last week I took my 16yr ds to McD's to get him an Iced Coffee. Got one for moi as well. They gave me a buy 5 get the 6th one free punch card.
So dummy me says, "Hey this stuff tastes good!", and I am all about free stuff. So I had like 5 of them in one week. Actually more like in 4-5 days. Beside the caffeine that I didn't need I just figured out today that each medium cup is 195 calories! I wasn't always getting mediums.
Soooo it would seem that I actually was sabotaging myself without ever really knowing it. SIGH
But I am wiser now and will not be getting that free coffee that I earned.
Dear son will.
I have about an hour and a half before I need to head out for a visit w/ a friend and my Master Gardner Class.
I am going to jump on the elliptical and see if I can bust out some cals.
I so want to get past that dang 211!!!!
As it stands now the chances of my making it to 200 before the end of the halloween challenge is not so likely. I would need to lose an average of 3-4 pounds each week. Just don't see that happening. Maybe on the Biggest Loser but not here in the real world!
So I am going to try my best to get as close as I can.
I really feel that if I can get down to 199 I will be able to break this motivational mental block that I feel like I am stuck in.
Catch everyone later! |

Rep Power: 43 | | I'm so pleased to read you busted your HUMP on that elliptical the other night, GOOD FOR YOU GIRLIE!!! sometimes we hit those nasty plateau's but.... don't let it discourage you, like you have read in my diary MANY times over, I've had those so many times I stopped counting, but I just keep at it, and eventually it gives in. And think of it this way, your not only losing weight, but your increasing your longevity of life, but busting your heart (cardio) that is so good for your heart and circulatory system. So even if you don't see the scales moving down, you are still getting healthier by the day. Keep it up, and I promise to keep after you as well.

Rep Power: 26 | | Bell - that is an awesome workout!
I wouldn't poo-poo the 211 - that's like a loss of what almost 20 lbs? I mean geesh - that is fab-u-tab-u-lous!
Anywho, I will be rooting for you - cause I know you can do it!!!! So what if the scale isn't at 200 lbs by Oct. 31st...that's just a date, look how far you've come. I know at one time you could barely stand to be on the elliptical now you just conquered it for 45 min.
There are so many ways to measure progress, the scale is only one of them (and most of the time it's not the best one.)
But good for you for realizing about those iced coffees (though I got to say I lubs me some good coffee! - AND I'm really missing it since sis doesn't have a coffee pot, I might have to just slink out at get some instant :gasp
Oh and I got your message - my cell doesn't get good service here. So I guess we will have to keep up via email and such.
