Rep Power: 20 | | Great Work Out hun!
I know how frustrating the scale can be- mine has barely moved the past 2 weeks, but instead of using that as an excuse to give up or slip up, I'm getting mad at the fat, and working even harder- we shall see how the scale reads tomorrow.
Dont give up, Dont give in- give it your ALL girlfriend! |

Rep Power: 35 | | You guys are the bestest!!!
Still at the irrating 211 as of this morning. But I am not going to let it get to me. I wasn't able to fit my workout in before my visits and class last night so when I got home at 10:15 I jumped on the elliptical and "redid" the same workout that I did my very 1st time back at the beginning of August. The one that I thought I was going to die doing.
It's only 20 minutes but it has resistance all over it, plus the ramp moves up and down automatically. I am proud to say that I pounded right thru it never feeling like I did that very first time. I think it said that I burned like 260 cals but over at sparkspeople it was like 320. Also did go for a walk with my friend for about 30 minutes. But it was by no means a power walk. Just a nice leasuirely stroll.
I laid down today and took a 3 hour nap (since I have to go to work tonight) and when I got up I weighed myself again for kicks and giggles. Came in at 210.4 but I don't know that I trust that since I hadn't eaten lunch yet and I wasn't doing anything but sleeping. Soooo will check again in the morning. Hopefully for the challenge I will at least lose that one pound so my team can collect the points.
Well that is about it for now. Gotta go fold some clothes, UGH the chore I loathe the most. That and hopefully make a quick run to the store for the essentials that it seems we have run low on.
Hope everyone else has a great weekend!! |

Anywho, I will be rooting for you - cause I know you can do it!!!! So what if the scale isn't at 200 lbs by Oct. 31st...that's just a date, look how far you've come. I know at one time you could barely stand to be on the elliptical now you just conquered it for 45 min.
There are so many ways to measure progress, the scale is only one of them (and most of the time it's not the best one.)
But good for you for realizing about those iced coffees (though I got to say I lubs me some good coffee! - AND I'm really missing it since sis doesn't have a coffee pot, I might have to just slink out at get some instant :gasp
Oh and I got your message - my cell doesn't get good service here. So I guess we will have to keep up via email and such.
See you sooon! | Thanks SweetiePea!
I am missing you terrible and it sure is showing.
I know that I shouldn't be so bugged by that 211 but I swear it is just staring at me. Won't even go a smidge under. Just stays right there.
Who would have ever guessed that coffee would have been my biggest hang-up. Considering I never ever drank the stuff until I had to start getting up at 2:45 in the morning. Now I think that I am addicted. One more habit to break.
Figured you weren't getting good cell service. You didn't miss much in class last night. It was a real snooze fest. Only thing keeping me awake was talkerman!!!
Keep loving on the baby and talk to you soon! |

Rep Power: 35 | | | It's a long one!!! LOL Well this weekend went by fairly fast.
I never seemed to have the time to jump on here to update anything at all.
Finally broke past 211 on Saturday morning weighing in at 210.4. So I lost weight but not enough to count for the Casper Challenge
Though the really cool thing is that when I got up on Sunday and weighed myself I weighed in at an even 210. (Two month mark & 20 pounds!!) And then this morning was 209.6.
So I must have been doing something right over the weekend.
They fed us on Saturday and Sunday, which is really unusal. We don't normally get rewarded for stuff back to back.
On Saturday they made us fajita's! I had lots and lots of the veggies about 4oz of chicken and a big ol' serving of salsa. No tortillas for me Thank You very much. I have seen how many cals are in those things. And of course I drank my water. Before I got to work on Saturday I took my daughter to the local festival which is basically in my back yard. It's called the Apple Festival and man was it packed out! That and it was blazing hot. I think they said it got up to 85*. In NE Indiana that is unheard of for the month of October. Then again today it is already at 92*. But after today the temps are suppose to go back to normal. Did eat a couple of things at the fest. You just can't go to one of these things and not get something. So dd and I both had 1 slice each of Sugar Free Apple Pie. And man was it ever good!!! Then I had myself a porkburger. It was yummy too. But for some reason didn't seem nearly as good as in the past. Could be it was too dang hot out or just that stuff that is not that good for you just doesn't taste that good anymore.
On Sunday they fed us cold cuts. Which I wasn't to sure about as different brands of meat can run totally different on the cals. Luckliy for me they hadn't thrown away the packaging yet and I was able to see that the turkey was 80 cals per serving. So again I skipped the bread and loaded up on the tomatos and the lettuce and had the 1 serving of meat. Did split on slice of cheese w/ a friend for 50 cals.
For both days I stayed well in my range of cals even with the meals that I ate before I went to work.
Today I took my youngest to the pumpkin patch. It was a 2 1/2-3 hour thing. He had a blast! Again though it was so hot I just had a hard time enjoying myself. That and my allergies kicked into full swing when I woke up this morning so walking around a bunch of hay and straw today was probably not the best thing for me. 'Cuz now I have a pounding headache, sore throat, and I am seriously congested. I am hoping to take it easy today and rest up. My hubby said something about us going and doing something special tomorrow that I think involves hiking at the State Park. But he won't say. He's just coming back form his retreat and I am sure that the retreat has something to do with tomorrow.
So that is everything in a nutshell. Big Nutshell!!! LOLOL
Things are going good for me. I plan to hop on the elliptical later on after I start to feel better. Not going to let a little bit of hayfever get in the way of all this progress.
If I can get my pictures downloaded I will attach a pic of my son at the pumpkin patch.
Have a great day everyone!!!!!

Kim | Hey Kim sorry I couldn't reply yesterday the site was locked up like Fort Knox!
Yeah I took those pics of him. I am thinking I might just take his Senior Pics too. You know how I figured out how to take most of my pictures is by looking through scrapbook magazines. The ones that are idea books for the page-layouts. I use them for photo ideas. And since I started doing that it has just taken off.
Hope your having a good day! |

Rep Power: 35 | | This week is going so well for me!
So far I have lost a grand total of 22.4 pounds since the beginning of this journey!!!!!
Since Saturday alone I have lost 2 and almost a 1/2 pounds. I still can't figure it out but I am just gonna go with the flow! I put in minimal effort on the exercising but am extremely vigilant on the eating. So have decided to stop by the local YMCA and get a family membership. Figuring that if the weight is just rolling off right now with minimal effort that it will have to start just sliding right off with added exercises like aerobics, yoga and weight-lifting.
Yesterday my wonderful DH took me on a journey of our Past, Present and Future. It was the most beautiful thing ever!!!
We first stopped at the very first place that we had ever met. (There is a very funny story to go along with that, that has to do with the fact that we had actually met well before but never realized it until after he asked me to marry him.........but that wasn't the place he took me.)
So he gets me to this special place and proceeds to read a "letter" that he wrote that is written like it was a story. He titled it "Didn't know it at the time." It tells all about the things that happened that night and how he fell in love with me then and there but "didn't know it at the time". Sorry not gonna copy the letter out here. It's just to special to share to the whole world!
Then he took me to where we were married and stood me in the place that I stood for our wedding vows and told me "25 things I love about you".
Guys I was a blubbering idiot by this time!
We drove by our first house and talked about how little it was! Amazed to see how much the trees have grown and we were filled with a sense of wonder that we ever actually fit in that itty bitty thing.
From there we went past the hospital that our kids were born in. Talking about how they may drive us nuts at times but we would never ever trade them for anything at all.
After that we went to a Nature Preserve that we use to go to before we had the kids and took a nice hike around, pictures too Kim , (getting lost in the process.....the place is bigger than it use to be!) finally gave up trying to find the car and headed for the road and walked back from there!
We then went to this fabulous restaurant that back in the day we could only go to like once a year 'cuz it cost so much and we just didn't have the moolah.
Our last stop was a local cemetary that for unfortunate reasons is right next to a busy road. And when I say next to it I mean NEXT to it!
Hubby starts telling me how when he was on his retreat he heard someone say "Everyone always says how they would easily give there life for their spouse or their kids and how that's just taking the easy way out. That in all reality to LIVE for your spouse our kids is the harder thing to do."
He told me that someday when our kids are older and they have kids of their own and we have passed on, and they have passed on we will be nothing more than a cement statue. There won't be anyone here to remember us anymore. So lets LIVE for our each other and our kids now. While they will benefit the most from it.
It honestly was one of the absolute best days of my life.
Not only did it have a huge impact on our relationship but it/he showed me that we need to DO things now~not what for that perfect moment to happen.
I know some of you may be thinking, "What in the world does any of this have to do with weight-loss?" It has plenty to do with it........I want to live for my family and I want to be here for a very long time so that I can have the biggest impact on them possible.
And by losing weight and getting healthier I am doing just that!!!!!
I hope everyone else's week is going just as well as mine!!! |

Rep Power: 43 | | Okay, can I now look up from my desk and not have mascara running down my eyes, that was the most beautiful story Bell!! Your hubby is so wonderful!! I just love to hear good things in relationships, as I have so many to share myself. I wish everyone I knew had someone as special in their lives, because nobody and I mean NOBODY deserves less than the best significant other in their lives. It does change you mentally and physically. I've started making collages of all the places and things we have experienced together, because they have all been incomparable to anything else. It's like every time we go somewhere now, we are more and more excited about getting to go again, it's crazy! Good for you getting those pounds off, your doing so wonderfully, regardless of the exercise your doing it, and you have to start with eating first and foremost as that usually is where it all starts, so you got a very good foundation and the exercise will be the added bonus. I love the NEW avatar, AND... Great job getting a membership to the YMCA, actually before I was a member of my current gym I was a active member of the Y LOL LOL I always did the bike and step master at that time, no classes then. YOU GO GET EM GIRLIE as I'm sure your on cloud nine today. |

Gotta tell you my 16yo went thru a faze where he wouldn't cut his hair.
We went to the Smokey Mountains and while we were there of course I took pictures. They call me Mama-ratzi around here!
Anywho, later on like 2 months later A-man is looking at some of my pics on line and says "Who's that?" It was a pic from the back and he DIDN'T RECOGNIZE HIS OWN SELF!!!!
I was laughing so hard.
The next day after school............he went and got a haircut.
Ahhhh the joys of life. It was so cool 'cuz I never ever had to say a single word to him. It just took care of itself. |

The kind that is selfless and always no matter what forgiving of your mistakes. And trust me....I have made quite a few mistakes! It is an unbelieveable feeling to know that I am love that much by someone. Almost makes me feel like I need to live up to all that love. Make sure that there is a good reason for it. You know what I mean?
I know the feeling your talking about with the going places and looking forward to going again. It was such an amazing day because we have been married for a little over 11 years and you know things start to fade from the old memory! LOL
And to have it all brought back and not just brought back but also from another prespective was awesome. I kept asking if he really thought all that and he was like yeah I wouldn't have written it if I didn't mean it.
Thanks for the love of the new avatar. I wasn't to sure about putting that pic up 'cuz I don't feel that I look my best. But I do like the fact that my hunny took it. So it stays.
Thanks for all the love. It sure feels great!
