That's such a cute idea about "updating" the picture!! Now you got me wanting to do something like that and update it every year on our anni. It'd be so amazing to look back on them. You are one smart chicky!

Well I blew it today.......I knew I would.
My good friend from Canada was here with some more friends of ours from the past. It was so nice to sit and visit. But we basically were doing your good old American cookout. Hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, beans........you get the idea.
Knowing all this I did prepare 2 Turkey burgers for me and I did eat whole wheat buns with the better for you cheese. But I still ate come chips, cake and ice cream along with small little snacks of fruit and veggies. As well as having fruit loops for breakfast and a late snack since we ate so late in the day. Also didn't get on the beastie like I was going to nor did I drink my water like I should have.
Though I did not pig out (the girls did say they thought I showed incrediable restraint) I feel I did by eating foods I would not have normally eaten.
And to top it all off........all the leftovers are in MY fridge.
I don't even want to think about how much it might have set me back to not "think" about my calories for a day.
Feeling pretty digusted with myself right now.
I guess I will just have to wait and see what happens to the scale.
I do plan to jump right back into the game tomorrow. But for now I am going to go wallow in my self pity.
As a side note Gil came home towards the end of the festivities and announced that the house was turning into a chick-flick. (There were 6 women and 7 children.) All that needed to happen was someone needed to break-up with someone and get back together right before they left and to have someone else crying while in the background a group of us would be singing a 60's song.
Hence he locked himself into our room watching baseball and presumably building up his testosterone levels until he felt safe enough to venture forth again into the estrogen pool.
Here's hoping for some good scale news tomorrow...........

HI Bell! It's okay to have a blow it day, how often do good friends come over and a cook out happen?? probably every few months right?? Your fine, so don't beat yourself up over it. Just get back up on that bandwagon and work harder tomorrow. Oh and drink plenty of water and maybe do a little walking. I'm sure you'll recover in no time!! Good luck!

Don't worry about your cheat day. Everyone needs one once in awhile, helps spike your metabolism. :] Just work hard today and resist the temptation from all that food sitting in the fridge. Sorry I didn't stop by here yesterday, I was insanely busy. Hope all is well! talk to you soon.

Thanks Elle I tend to beat myself up over things and then find it easier to give up.

I know I didn't eat like I would have in the past but I just felt soooo guilty for eating the way I did. That and I actually felt over-full and uncomfortable for the rest of the day/night.

I just felt so guilty.
Of course it didn't help when I got on the scale in the morning and I was up by 1 1/2.
But it has since worked itself out.

You guys really are the best diet/exercise buddies a girl could want.

Well as of this morning I am at 224 even. Lost another .2 pounds!!
So I guess all the eating out and celebratory cookout didn't do any real harm.
Right now I feel like a walking zombie. Didn't get in from work last night until 3am and the chili dogs (kids) were up at 8am. Gil had a meeting he had to attend this morning. So I am in the process of making a "fun" breakfast. And will most likely go back to bed as Saturday's aren't any better at work.
So until next time when I feel more human........hahaha
