Thanks Kim!!!
To tell you the truth I am not sure exactly how it is coming off so fast because I am not really exercising like I should. Try like, not at all in the last week.........except for walking my daughter to school but that was only twice for 30 minutes each time at an easy pace.
I just try to eat between 1200-1600 calories a day. That and drink lots and lots of water. Between 60-80oz everyday. Which right now I am sorely short of. I have only had 2 cups of coffee so far. But after only getting a combined 12 hours of sleep for the whole weekend I needed 'em.

Okay so this weekend was a particularly long one. As we get closer to Labor Day it is only going to pick up at work. After Labor Day it is pretty much an uphill battle. Because then we will be stocking up for the big 3. Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's.
Don't recall if I had ever told everyone that I work in a freezer.
It runs about 24* unless your in the ice cream room which when set at the warmest is -18*.
In the winter it gets really cold in there as there is no heating system what so ever. My personal belief is that they actually pump in the cold air from outside to save money!!!!!!!
I use to be the person who loaded the pallets up wearing a headset that told me to go here and go there. Believe it or not I sweated my butt off in the freezer doing that job. I guess lifting 50# boxes will do that to you.
Would even have frost built up on my back from all the moisture.
Very physical labor.
Now I just take it all into the freezer and stage it so it can be put up in the racks. Not so physical labor.
So needless to say it is a very cold job. And I am only as busy as the economy dictates. If no one is buying groceries then I am not working much. If people are stocking up...........well you get the picture.
I really haven't gotten on the beastie in like a week. I just don't enjoy it yet. I don't know that I ever will. But I must be doing something right because I am down to 222.2 for a total of nearly 8 pounds in 2 weeks.
I am thinking about getting a piece of equipment that I used a long time ago called an ab roller (I think). Anyway you sit on your knees, rest your lower arms and elbows on this ab roller thing and then slide it out in front of you.
When I was doing that at the YMCA (5 years ago) I noticed a major change in the tummy area. After having had 3 c-sections that is where most of my work needs to be.
Aside from not feeling very motivated on the excersizing (sp) front I have been doing well. I don't think that I have gone over my cals since last Wednesday.
Just need to get up and go do it. There in lies the problem...........getting up and doing it. Sigh
So that is my update in a nutshell.
Hope everyone else had an awesome weekend.

I think it takes a couple months to get out of newbie status. I have one of those AB rollers, it was my husbands and he showed me how to use that thing and for some reason, it looks like a bad ass workout. You have to have that upper body strength to use it, but I'm sure it would do a body good. Here is the thing, I PROMISE you, if you get one and start using it, I will do the same. I will use it every night before bed. So, maybe we can use it as a challenge with each other. What do you think?? Let me know, that will be fun! I'll take a picture of it too and post it on here, so you know I'm working it. LOL LOL Enjoy your day!

Ok Kim
Your on! Just give me chance to go and get one!!!!
And it is one heck of a work out. At the top of my game back then I was doing 100 of them in a session twice a day.
Thanks so much for all the encouragement. You just can't know how much I appreciate it. Knowing that there is someone who is going to help me to get-r-done!!!!

Hey, I think I have one downstairs that I was trying to sell at the garage sale. Or else I gave it to the goodwill.
I will have to check. You can have it if I still have it.
You are doing great. As far as the exercise, what I used to do (and will have to do again) is to get a variety of videos - you're always welcome to check out my "library" and then go from there. You will probably still want to do the elliptical now and again, but then at least you'll have variety.
My theory no exercise is "fun". I mean I love to swim, bike ride, hike etc. But if I did it every day for the "exercise" it would get just as dull and boring as the elliptical or treadmill.
It's just that doing something is better than nothing. And you are losing weight because you're watching your caloric intake (right?)
Also, picking up a set of hand weights will do you good too! I have two sets here as well as a barbell w/ bench. I don't always use them, but they are here when I choose to do so. Building muscle is supposed to help with quicker weight loss.
I am thinking of getting a set of those weights where you can change the amount (from like 5 lbs to 50 lbs.) Bowflex has them as well as other companies - (not the bowflex gym though.)
Anyway, you're always welcome to come over here and use my equipment. You could get on the treadmill while I'm on the elliptical. Or we could meet once a week or so and just walk or ride our bikes - until the weather changes for the worse?

You are doing great. Thanks it sure is nice to hear without prompting. Gil is only telling me how well I am doing AFTER I bring it up.

It's just that doing something is better than nothing. And you are losing weight because you're watching your caloric intake (right?) I do keep close track of the calories. Though I can't explain why I am still losing so fast with barely no exercise.

Okay so I am going to call you now and be bugging you about it! LOL

Well not much time to write today.
As the saying goes to many things to do and not enough time to do them in!
Ok so really I just need to get the house cleaned up and that bleeping laundry is calling my name AGAIN!!!
And to top it all of I HAVE to have it done by 2:30pm.
Woke up this morning and weighed in at 221.4. DOWN ANOTHER POUND!!!!!!!
I am so close to 10 pounds lost that I can almost taste it.
I am starting to notice a teensy weensy bit that I am losing some weight in the belly area. Sorta caving in a bit on the sides.
Keeping up on my food content if not always on my food journal. And I do walk my daughter to school everyday.
Also I should be a fish for the way I am drinking the water. Now if I could only get the motivation to actually exercise more. Got a buddy of mine (SweatPea) who is helping me out. We are going to start getting together once a week to workout together. Hopefully my competitve side will come out and I will kick it into gear.
Well no more time.
Laundry, dishes, little boy in tub!.......all calling for me to get something done!
Have a great day everyone!
Keep the pace!
Bellaryna
well look at you missy... you're doing amazingly!!!!
Congrats on almost 10lbs down It feels great when you see a big drop on the scale like that and also when clothes start to fit better or get baggy and saggy is an even better feeling, in my mind atleast.
Hope you managed to get all your laundry done today. :]
I've been slacking on actually getting off my booty and exercising today so I'm gonna go kick butt with billy blanks right now but I'll check back either later tonight or tomorrow.
do you have starting measurements? that is a great way to see differences -and you will often seem changes there before you see them on the scale.
way to go on reaching almost 10... that's wonderful!
Thanks for stopping by and helping me with your advice.
I so wish that I had been smart and took some kind of measurements.
The most that I can go on is all the jeans that jumpstarted me to get on this bandwagon to begin with. The ones that were a size to small to fit into. I don't plan to try them on again until at least mid September. I would like them to not only fit but not be snug when I get them on.
Thanks for the advice.
Feel free to bestow me with it anytime. LOL
