I was reading your measurements and thought we must be about the same size. Then I saw your ticker and I couldn't believe it. I started at 220 too. I managed to stay at 200 for 5 years, then joined the forum a year ago. I lost twenty pounds in four months. Now I'm trying to lose the ten I regained.

Long story short I'm 188 now.

I'm sorry its so cold there. My word that sounds cold.

Its actually above zero here on Vancouver Island - do you know where that is?

Just thought I'd drop in to someone new's diary to see whats up.

How long have you been on this current effort?

I am the same way with food when dh is gone. I wonder why that is? Must be an emotional thing.

I did get what Mr M had, I'm just hoping to be over it soon. I got the darn flu shot too! I guess it didn't do me any good. Grrr!

Ummm pancakes, that sounds nice
I was wondering, to you manage to do the ellipical every day? And how long do you do it for? I've got an old exercise bike in the corner, but I never do anything with it. I find it difficult to get motivated, and it's so much nicer being able to go out for a walk rather than staying indoors. I guess where you are, what with the cold, the inside is more appealing that the outdoors!

Hope you had a nice weekend

Hey Everyone!
Thanks for stopping by to check up on me.
I am going to make this real quick as I am very tired. What's new, right? LOL
I don't know if the scale was accurate on last weeks weigh-in 'cuz I am like 6 #'s up. *Shocking I know!*
So currently I am trying to see if I can get it to be even anywhere near to that again.
A few things could be factoring in to the equation to make this number come out like this...........
1. I haven't really been drinking my water like I should. It's just so darn cold and the last thing I want is a cold drink of water.
2. Been drinking caffeinated coffee. Which may not seem like much to anyone else but I was told by a doc last March "No More Caffeine". I think that me and caffeine just don't mix. Besides making me feel ill I think it also makes me retain water like mad.
3. Have not been watching the cals with an iron fist. In fact I have been a bit lax in the last few days. I need to get back into the groove. And fast.
4. I won't be able to go to any of my exercise classes this week due to the fact that I am taking the pictures for our church's UpWard's Basketball League. That totally bums me out. At least I have my swimming.
And #5 My tummy has been bothering me for a few days (could be the lack of decent food) so I am kinda in a stuck mode if you catch my drift. LOL
So...........
Basically I need to stay on track. Even while I am being so busy.
I will try to write back to everyone tomorrow. Just no energy right now.
Hope everyone had a great week!

This time of year, I drink my water warm, with a lot of lemon. (I put a lot of lemon in it when it's cold, too.)

You looked so cute in your work get up! I cannot imagine working in a freezer for hours on end. No wonder you wear all that. I get cold just walking 20ft from my office to my car..lol I would imagine that sitting in a hot tub when you get off work would sound like a wonderful thing.

I think planning your meals ahead of time will make it easier for you to avoid eating poorly when your H is gone. It helps me when I've got a busy day.

That is so cute about the little girl in your swim class. I can sympathize with her. I was scared to death of learning to swim. I didn't mind being in the pool, I just didn't like going under water or having that feeling of letting go. Then one day when I was 8, my mom and aunt decided it was time I learned to swim. It was a terrifiying experience, but I did learn. I still don't like going under water unless I have a noseplug and goggles, though. I hate opening my eyes under water w/out goggles, and hardly ever do. I love the water, but I am kinda scared of it.

I hope that scale starts cooperating. Did you take it back to the store yet?

Whew!!
What a week I am having. This crazy new schedule of mine has me hopping!
Add to that trying to get out to the church every night to take pictures for the Upward League and you can see just how busy I have been.
I have been trying to eat well this week but it has not been as good as it could be.
I think with the being so busy thing I am just eating on the run waaaay to much. I don't think that I am eating bad just that I am not keeping track of my stuff in my food journal. So it is really easy for me to go over w/o even realizing it.
I have also come to a conclusion. I am a stress eater.
Ramp up my stress and I run for the comfort foods.
At least I am sooo busy I don't have time to make those comfort foods! LOL
Though we did have spaghetti tonight with garlic bread and I think that I probably had at least 4 generous sized pieces of bread.
Other than running around like a chicken with my head cut off there is not much news going on here.
I haven't had the time to return the scales. And at this point it may be too late. But Wal-Mart is usually very good about returns so I will try and see what comes of it.
I am running about 3 pounds heavier than last weeks weigh-in of 191.6, I am a bit bummed about that.
And knowing all the junk that I ate last weekend and how I haven't been drinking my water I think that I can safely assume that it is not all an actual weight gain. But it will still be there most likely on Friday when I weigh in.
At least I have all my exercise time in for the challenge. So hopefully I won't be booted.
Well I only just got home about 20 minutes ago and I think that I am going to go and relax out in the living room with my dh. So I will try to jump on here tomorrow and see if I can't respond to all you wonderful people who have dropped in on me.
Have a great evening everyone!

HI Bella,

I am with you with the stress eating. I had a bad weekend where I ate sweets almost all weekend and now I am 3.5 lbs higher than last week but I am afraid it is all correct... LOL
I have to plan my food to a T otherwise I find myself over-eating. I mean I have to have my food written out in advance otherwise I am lost...

Don't be bummed about the weight-gain, it will be gone in no time with your motivation and a$$ kicking exercises.

have a great day.
hajni

Hey Miss Sweetness! sorry I've been gone for awhile, I have a lot on my plate this week and I'm trying to get through it all, but I do want to say I'm very proud of your accomplishments thus far, you have done so darn well!! You are shrinking before my eyes, it's amazing!!

You will lost those pesky few pounds that popped up recently, I have not doubt about that. Your such a busy person I don't know when you every find time to eat, are you eating on the run or what?? LOL

Here is to another weight busting end of the week. I know you can do it!! By the way, how tall are you?????

And I love the DEEP FREEZE suit, that sure be in movies, I don't know what movie, but It should. LOL LOL
Have a wonderful day today, I'll try and get by again real soon.
Hugs and love
Kim

Aww! Don't stress too much about the weight cause you already said stress makes you over-eat! Just make sure to have lots of healthy snacks around you and substitute, substitute, substitute. When I'm not careful, I'll just choose the chocolate or cookie over the banana or apple (except now, cause of my raw diet). I eat out of boredom and fatigue, so I know what you mean--keep up with the food journal and you'll see those pesky 3 lbs gone soon! Best wishes!
