You know sometimes I think that I really would lose my head somewhere if it wasn't for it being attached! Hahaha
I got on here earlier intending to update my journal and then visited everyone else's and forgot about mine. DUH!
This has been one really GOOD week for me.
Got in my 99ozs of water everyday with 420 minutes of exercise this week. Which of course gave me a drop in weight
OF 3.6 POUNDS!!!!
Oh yeah baby!!!
So I am now down to 188.6 on the scale!
Talk about a Major Accomplishment!!!!
On the side of a Minor Accomplishment I was able to wrap a "normal" sized bath towel around my chest/waist area without it gapping open for the 1st time in I don't know how long. I felt so proud walking around the pool at the YMCA. I guess you could say that I even strutted a bit.
The veggie thing is going well. I haven't grown tired of it yet and still have no pangs of desire for bread or pasta.
Though I do have to go to work tonight and that is where I seem to struggle the most. With all the vending machines staring me in the face while I am on break. I can't wait for the weather to get nice out so that I can take my breaks outside again. Away from the evil machines.
A funny thing happened this week.
As I was responding to Hajni telling her how dh and I don't really celebrate Valentine's Day, due to all the commercialization, he calls me and asks, "If I could have a
Heart Rate Moniter what kind would I like?"
Two weeks ago I had jokingly said that if he was thinking of getting me something for V Day to please get me a HRM instead of flowers or candy. Knowing that we don't celebrate and that they are very expensive I didn't expect to really get one.
So next week my new HRM will be here! I am so excited!! Now I will be able to see exactly how much
calories that my workouts at the YMCA are burning off. And to top it off he got a really good one. No wires! Just a band that goes under the shirt with a watch type thing to wear on my wrist so no one will really know that I have it on. And as well as all that it comes with a program that can sync up to my computer so that when I come home and turn on the computer it will automatically download all the info from the workout to show me all the data. Cals burned, heartrate, length of optimal
heart rate stuff like that.
One more thing. Dh is so hilarious in that he won't leave me alone....*hint hint wink wink* LOL
Mostly though right when I get back from my workouts. When I am all nasty and stinky.
He says that there is something about me coming home in my workout clothes.
He's weird I know. But I think that I will keep him! LOL
Oh and also I am now 3.6
pounds away from my 2nd mini-
goal of 185. I wanted to hit it by Valentine's Day at this rate I think I will.
So I am thinking of having my littlest son's b-day as my next
goal. That would put me at losing 24#'s by April 3rd.
Not sure yet though since that may be actually setting me up for a failure to not reach it as I would have to lose on average 2.5-3
pounds (more on the 3
pound side) a week for 8.5-9 weeks. That may just be to lofty. I just don't want to
stress myself out over this. I have always said that I wasn't so big on losing by a certain time (hence the reason the 185
goal was never met over the holidays) just to let it go at a steady rate and when it is gone it is gone.
Maybe I will shoot for a later date in April knowing that I can aways finish early. Maybe the 25th would be a better time frame. As that would then give me 12 weeks with the average being just 2
pounds. Who knows as soon as I figure it out I'll let you all know........eventually! LOL
Well anyhow I gotta go. The kids had a snow day. Those 2 words should be banished from the English language. So since they are home they of course require lunch.
As a side note my good friend who lives in Canada says that they don't have snow days where she lives. School does not close. The buses may not run but Mom and Dad can still take their kids to school. If you normally were to ride the bus and Mom and Dad couldn't get you to school you would have an excused absence but still be expected to make up all the work you missed.
I say we should give this a try. I mean if they can do it in the Rockies where they surely get more snow than Indiana and the temps can be brutally colder than it could be done here. Just my 2cents.
Later Gators!
