Rep Power: 35 | | I love having days off from work! Ye-Haw!!!
Of course part of this day off was not a happy thing. I attended a funeral to help support a friend who lost her boyfriend of 12 years. It was a quite sudden thing for her and as her and Charlie never got married I was worried that she would be left out of the whole proceedings. Well she wasn't left out completely but she wasn't given the due that she should have. I guess since they weren't married the family didn't feel she really had a place.
After I got back home from that I went outside and played T-Ball with my youngest who got a T-Ball set for his B-day. Everyone in the family was outside doing something. Dh was washing the car, oldest ds was skateboarding, dd was riding her bike up and down the street and of course youngest and myself were playing ball. Finally SPRING is HERE!!!
Sweetiepea showed up shortly after and we headed off for her b-day celebration. I took her to this really good Chocolate place. Now don't get it into your mind that this is just your ordinary run of the mill store. This place makes the best, and I mean the BEST, chocolate. In fact they were commisioned to make the chocolate coins that Donald Trump had showcased in one of his buildings for The Apprentice. We had sundaes. Yummy Chocolate Sundaes!!!
Then we went and walked all around the local outdoor mall. Logging in 45 minutes of walk time. We did more window shopping than anything else. After that we went to have Mexican. It was by far the best Mexican that I have ever had.
It was a really nice time. And she is my bestest friend and definately deserved to have the best celebration! |

Rep Power: 43 | | | Oh that does seem like a most excellent way to spend a Birthday, and probably the same places me and my girlfriends would go. I'm a Mexican food lover!! OH YEAH! And you really can eat good there if you try, so I'm sure you did well. I'll have to run by her diary and wish her a HAPPY B-DAY. The weather here today was gorgeous too, I enjoyed leaving my sliding glass door and windows open all afternoon, it just makes things so much better! I think your a wonderful mom for spending time outdoors with the kids and having fun! I miss those days myself, as I spent a TON of time outside with my little guys, it is something I'll never forget!! Well, I hope you have a great rest of your weekend!! Enjoy the sunshine!
Hugs

Dont stress about the weight gain. It is probably mainly sodium and I am sure that things will be fine weightwise after a few days of exercising and eating wisely. An absence of birthday parties always helps.
I am pleased that you had a great time out with Sweatpea and it is great that you both have such good friends nearby for celebrating things like birthdays.
I am sure that your other friend appreciated your support for the funeral too. It is sad that sometimes people think a relationship does not count if there is no ring on the finger. It is the caring that matters more than the piece of paper.
Neither birthdays or funerals are well known for being conducive for weightloss so dont worry if your weight does not go down for a day or two. We have right until Friday before it makes a difference to the challenge - although I know that you want to see some drop sooner for personal reasons (we all want to see an immediate drop!)
That is a lovely childrens story that you posted - I got tears in my eyes (but everyone knows that I am a big softie...).
Take care
Love

Rep Power: 35 | | Thanks Kim, Margaret, Brandy and Yarmiah for stopping by!!!!
This has been a pretty good "work" weekend. I actually got out of work tonight at 10:30pm!!!!
That rarely if ever happens. Especially now that I am doing a new job at work that requires me to be one of the last people there.
When I weighed myself this morning I was not shocked to see 193 staring back at my face.
With all the celebrating that Sweetiepea and I did I expected it to be up a bit. I think that most of it is most likely due to the sodium in the Mexican food. That and all the chips I ate!!!!
I could have chosen to eat better but figured that it is a rare thing to just eat and enjoy. So that is what I did.
I know that the numbers will come back down so I am not stressing about them at all.
As an added bonus to my budget and my exercise plan, next week that is, I am going to be picking up some hours at work on Friday.
I am going to go in about 4 1/2 hours early and orderfill.
That is the job that I use to do before. The one that was so physically demanding that I basically wore myself out doing it for 2 years.
I figure since I will be doing a physically active job that I haven't done in about a year I can count it towards my exercise.
And let me tell you it will be every bit physical. Some of those boxes can weigh up to 60 pounds. Most of the ones I would be lifting won't be that much but everything is timed so you have to hustle around pretty fast. I am planning on wearing my heart rate moniter just to see how much of a work out I get.
This should be a decent week here at home as far as how busy I will be. I don't have any of the preschool swims anymore they were all finished up last Thursday. So I only have to swim on Monday and Wednesday.
Dh and I are planning to get the garage all sorted out on Tuesday. It has gotten pretty bad over the winter. There is barely room now for the car!!! LOL
It happens like that every year. We just end up throwing everything into the garage 'cuz we are too lazy to put it all away proper when it is so cold out.
Thursday we are going to try and do our fishing trip that got cancelled last week. The weather just wouldn't cooperate. It was rainy and cold. And to top it off the river was running so high and fast that it would have been to dangerous.
Well that is pretty much what has been going on and what will be going on around here.
I hope that everyone had a GREAT weekend and also has a great start to their week. |

Rep Power: 35 | | Well the weather here this morning was absolutely GORGEOUS!!!
Unfortuanately the walk that I wanted to take to get to the YMCA did not happen as I had too much on my plate again! LOL
Needed to be to the Y by 8:45 for the 3rd grade swim and then needed to wait until T-Dawg got done with his class. And shortly after all that I had to grocery shop. So to conserve time I needed to take the car.
I am hoping to find some time still today to enjoy this beautiful weather that we are having.
Especially as it is suppose to rain tomorrow. Or at least there is a chance of it.
Weighed-in this morning at 191.4lbs. That is down about 2 pounds from yesterday. I hope that it will just keep coming right off so that by the time Thur/Fri weigh-in rolls around I will be able to show a loss from the week prior.
I have my PowerCore class tonight. I am really looking forward to that. My back has been feeling a bit touchy lately. I think it is due to NOT being in class. Since I am not stretching like I was before I think it is just tight. So hopefully it will be feeling better after class.
Well I need to go pick up my kids from school and then run them to the doctor's office. So I guess I better get going.
Hope everyone is having a fabulous Monday. |

Rep Power: 20 | | | Hey! Send some of that weather THIS way! It's so chilly, wet and dreary here in MD.
I was having trouble with my back a while ago, and I too think it was lack of stretching. I'm sure once you get that under control, your back will start feeling better! |

My back is feeling a bit better. But I think I may need to make a trip to the chiropracter. Every once in a while I get a kink and the only way to get rid of it is to have it "popped". I'll wait a few more days to see how it feels. |

I love, love, love to fish! In fact dh has said on many occasions that he was so happy when he found someone who shared his love of it.
We will still be going but will be tweaking it a bit since the River is still to high. We have a friend who lives on a lake who has offered us his boat whenever we want.
Thanks for the Kudos!
Now if I can just keep melting away! LOL |

Rep Power: 35 | | Well my weekend celebrating is still melting away. That makes me sure feel good to know that I can go out to eat and not worry about it sticking around for any length of time.
I weighed in this morning at 190 even. That is 1.4 pounds less then yesterday.
So I am now with-in reach of coming in lower than I did last week. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.
I am doing my part by keeping the cals low, yesterday was 1226, and by getting in some exercise.
Even though they are calling for rain today I am thinking about walking to the library with T-Dawg.
If I am going to do that though then I need to be leaving in like 15 minutes.
Uh-oh I just heard some thunder rumble.
Guess I will be taking the car after all! LOL
Okay I need to get off the puter.
Hubby needs it so I will catch up with all of you later!
Ciao |
