I sure know what you mean about co-workers I used to be in the same boat many years ago, and finally I decided to let go of that place and find something that I like even better, it was a risk for me at the time, but as it turns out it was a good risk, and I'm so happy now. Don't let them ruin your day, they will be jerks forever regardless, no need letting them get you down.

I see your weight keeps going down, lucky girl!! Pretty soon your going to be buying some new clothes, OH YEAH! that's the best part of losing weight, buying some smaller, newer clothes in my opinion.

Well take care and have a very nice day
Kim

Thanks to everyone for stopping by and wishing me well.
I haven't been able to shake that bad attitude yet. I am planning to wake up tomorrow and see the world thru new eyes.
My weekend at work was sooooo awful that it just seems to be following me around.
I didn't even exercise today, sigh. I know bad, bad, bad. Especially since Kimberly and I really need to carry the weight (no pun intended LOL) of the exercise this week since Margaret had emergency surgery.
I have 4 hours in at least. So it won't take me much to catch up to where I need to be.
I just feel so blah right now.
Hubby has been telling me for the last 12 years that I need to be more of a duck and let what other people say roll off my back. But I tend to be more of a sponge. I soak it in and let it fester there.
I know that I am weighing heavier than the 186 I posted last Thursday but honestly I couldn't say how much since this morning I just didn't feel like looking. I don't think it is much and most likely is just water weight.
I tend to bloat up when I am feeling stressed. That and eat crap I shouldn't! LOL
I didn't do to badly on the eating front but at the same time I didn't do as well as I could have. Especially since all I really "felt' like eating was comfort food.
I plan to get back on track tomorrow. 'Cuz if I keep whallering around in this self pity than the boneheads at work will have won. And I refuse to let them have that control over me.
I am having lunch tomorrow with a girl from church who just went thru a bone marrow transplant. She found out just before Christmas that she had Luekiemia. Since then she has responded really, really well to all her treatments.
In light of all the things that she has gone thru my "minor whinings" are so very trivial. So I WILL snap out of this funk.
Perspective is everything.
Again Thanks to Stacey, Ladybug, Kimberly and Yarmiah for swinging by my journal and lifting up my spirits. It's not very often that I am the one suffering from pessimism and I really appreciate you guys more than you can know.
Later Gators!

Hi Dawn

Sorry that I havent been by your diary recently - but I have caught up on all that has been happening to you.

By the way - I think that re the creep at the gym - when your husband said that he would need to start coming to the gym to look after you - you should have said that you would appreciate that. I know that you have mentioned your husband went to weight watchers. I would be delighted if I could get Rod to go regularly to a gym. It wouldnt matter if he thought that he was doing it to mark me as his or not.

We all know people that are a lot worse off than we are - but that doesnt stop us from feeling sorry for ourselves and our comparitively minor problems.

It is perfectly natural to wish that our own lives were going fully smoothly and things that get in the way are very irritating. The fact is that you are rushing around trying to run a household and family, hold down a job, do loads of extra hours and make your weightloss dreams a reality. All that - and occasionally you mention other career aspirations too.

No wonder you get weighed down by juvenile behaviour that you meet at work. When you are busy - life can be tough enough just getting boxes ticked and things done. Extra stress helps no-one. We would all feel the same.

Whatever you do - dont tell Rod that it is possible to do as much exercise as you do and do as much housework as you do. You really do put me to shame. My house is the biggest mess on earth. I am going to try and stop him from looking in your diary.

I am sorry that you are having to do extra exercise to cover me for the challenge. I am trying to get out and get some gentle walking done each day to build things back up. I wouldnt normally count walking at that speed as exercise - but it is valid exercise for me as things currently stand. I am keeping my challenge scoresheet up to date each day - so check it out if things get on top of you as you may not need to get quite as much done as Kimberly calculated.

I think that all three of us are currently looking at a higher weight than last week - so all of us are praying for that weightloss miracle! We still have until Friday morning - so there is time.

Take care
Love
Margaret

Hi Sweetness! I hope you're feeling better now. Yup, the duck attitude is best. But I know how you feel, b/c I also tend to let things eat me up that I shouldn't.

I'm really looking forward to meeting you in May. That date will work, btw. I'm going to have to get used to calling you Dawn instead of Bella..lol. Maybe I'll just call you Bella Dawn.

LOL@Margaret banning Rod from reading your diary for fear of your industriousness making her look bad. I certainly agree that you manage to do an incredible amount of things when there are only 24hrs in a day. As I've said before--you ARE superwoman.

May? You'd better let me in on the date! I wanna meet Kim too!

BTW, you should see my left arm. For some reason it is really sunburned. The right one not so much. I think it was from how I was sitting on the bench. Durn it all I should've known better than to skip work. Sick, yeah right, they're going to say. LOL

How did your Zumba class go? Wish I could go with!

Margaret, Margaret, Margaret. I don't expect you to come cruisin my diary all the time. Especially here lately with you having your emergency surgery and all. Though I won't lie I do enjoy reading what you put in here. It invariably has something in it that I really needed to hear at the time.

By the way - I think that re the creep at the gym - when your husband said that he would need to start coming to the gym to look after you - you should have said that you would appreciate that. I so agree with you on this one.

We all know people that are a lot worse off than we are - but that doesnt stop us from feeling sorry for ourselves and our comparitively minor problems.

It is perfectly natural to wish that our own lives were going fully smoothly and things that get in the way are very irritating. No wonder you get weighed down by juvenile behaviour that you meet at work. When you are busy - life can be tough enough just getting boxes ticked and things done. Extra stress helps no-one. We would all feel the same.

I think more than anything I am just tired of working a dead end job. I can't see myself still working in a freezer day in and day out for the rest of my life.
So all the "joy" ,and I say that very flippantly, that I had in my job is gone.
I just want out.

Whatever you do - dont tell Rod that it is possible to do as much exercise as you do and do as much housework as you do. You really do put me to shame. My house is the biggest mess on earth. I am going to try and stop him from looking in your diary.

This one had me laughing soooo hard!!!!
If my dh could only pipe in here he would tell you that the house is not clean enough!!!
Or at least the laundry bit of it. I do put in alot of hours exercising but that is only 'cuz like you I am being greedy. As for the house really only the basics get done. And about once a week one room gets an overhaul. At any given time you could walk in to my house and there will be dishes in the sink, baskets of laundry waiting to be folded, laundry on the floor in the kitchen over by the washer and the floor needs to be swept/vacuumed. So it's not nearly as clean as it sounds.
Don't get me wrong.......it's clean, just cluttered up!
So see Rod can still have a peek in my diary! LOL

Don't worry about me having to get any extra exercise. I needed to ramp it up a bit anyway. And as most of my extra exercise has been walking it has been very peaceful. Think nothing of it!

I think that all three of us are currently looking at a higher weight than last week - so all of us are praying for that weightloss miracle! We still have until Friday morning - so there is time.

Take care
Love
Margaret
I fear that this may be the week that we get eliminated.
My weight is up as TOM showed up this morning and now I will virtually have no time to "lose" any Tom gain.
I do love when you stop by my diary Margaret. You always have a way of making me feel better!
Thanks

Sooo glad that there is someone else out there who struggles like I do. sigh
I know if I just "got over it" things would be so much better. But at times, like right now is TOM, it si very hard for me to follow thru with my own advice.
I'm glad that day will work out for you.
I think that it will be a blast getting to meet up with you and of course Sweetiepea will be coming with us if she can.
You can call me Bella if you want, LOL I don't mind.
Though I may not answer right away!
If Rod only knew just how much my house really is a mess than Margaret would be in no danger.
Even when I do get something done my 2 tornadoes come tearing thru and messing it all up. Plus I also have 2 labs. One is old and the other is 6 months. So it is never ending.
There may be only 24 hours in a day but I swear I could use at least 5 more just so could get some extra sleep!
Thanks for the SuperWoman comment! That is very sweet.
Now I just need to find my cape. I think I loaned it out to Sweetiepea.

You know you are so in on that day!!! There is no way I would ever leave you out of meeting Kimberly. Besides Kimberly and I already decided that it was going to be a good eating out day and I know you like those days too!!!
Sorry you got sunburned.
Though it is funny that you only got it bad on the one side.
So you gonna use our story of how you feel asleep on the deck or you just gonna go with a turtleneck!? LOL

Well I don't know if it is due to my running around so much like a chicken with my head cut off, TOM (which showed up this morning blah), working all those extra hours at work or just a combination of all of it but I think I just finally hit a wall this week.
Don't get me wrong I am still exercising, though I didn't go to Powercore class on Monday. Just didn't feel motivated enough.
I just feel so tired. Not sleepy tired either. Just world tired, like I just want to be let alone. Does anyone know what I mean?
As each day goes by I am feeling better. I am sure that for the most of it, it is due to TOM. Since I was fine until Sat/Sun.
Even though I didn't exercise formally Monday I did work in my flower gardens ripping out all the old stuff and prepping the beds for the new stuff. Did that for about an hour. Maybe more as I wasn't watching the time.
I also made it to my Fit for Life class last night. Which by the way got harder!!!! AGAIN!!
Now she has "stations" set up for us at the beginning of class for us to get our cardio in. One was jumping up on to a step platform, another was jumping in and out of squares that she had taped to the floor and the last station was jump roping. You did each station for a full minute. In "between" the stations you got to run down a couple of sets of stairs down a hall and then back up a couple of sets of stairs only to run 1/2 of the track until you were back at the stations again.
We did this for 20 minutes!!!!
I'm telling ya that girl is CRAZY! LOL
Sweetiepea and I both did great at it, only because we refused to quit but we paid the price for it as well as we both had sore throats today from all the heavy breathing. Almost like we had ashma or something.
Sweetiepea and I (along with my youngest) did get in some walking today but it wasn't anything really fast as T-dawg was already worn out from playing at the park for about an hour. I would say that we probably walked for about 30 minutes.
I was able to actually get in some swimming of my own today as in this new session at the Ymca I only have 1 kid in my afternoon class and they always get there early. So we get started early and they finish early. And since I had to wait for my dd to get done with her lessons and I was already in the pool I swam laps for about 15 minutes.
Add to that this class that I went to called Zumba (which was 45 minutes), it's kinda like a Latin dancing aerobic class thing, and I got in 1 1/2 hours today.
But like I said TOM is here so I haven't seen a good number on the scale for a few days now.
And with TOM I also haven't eaten the best either. I keep going from the salty to the sweet extreme.
Hopefully that will let up here real soon! LOL Or all that walking won't matter.
Overall this week I got in
4 hours orderfilling
1 hour gardening
1 1/2 hours fit for life
1 1/2 hours walking and zumba
-------------
Total 8 hours

Add to that 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours tomorrow for my fit for life class and I will be at 9-9 1/2 hours.
Plus I am planning on going for a hike at a local nature preserve tomorrow. I have never timed it before but it is fairly large so I would have to think it will really add some time to my totals for the week.
Well it is getting late and I really need to get to bed.
Just felt like I needed to update everything with you guys even if I didn't "feel" like I ws getting much done.
Hope everyone has a great Thursday!

Umm...you've exercised 8hrs and kept your household running. I'd say you certainly got a lot done!!!!!!!!!!!! Give yourself some credit, girl. That class with Kelly alone is impressive. Jeesh. You and Sweatpea are rockin' it out.

I'm cool with Sweatpea joining us. I wish there were more people here who lived closer so we could all meet up. Are there any Amish-style restaurants in Shipshewana? Now that is a feast. Shoofly pie..lol We ate at one in Nappanee when I was a teenager. We can justify the calories we consume by all the walking we'll do around the flea market, etc.

Bad timing with . Mine came yesterday. At least that means my weight is heading downward again--and I managed to not pig out for the first time in days. I so hear ya on the eating front. I get ravenously hungry right before shows up.

Happy Thursday!

Well cool! And yes of course there are Amish style restaurants in shipshe, you kiddin' me? That's like asking if there are any horse and buggies in Lagrange!

Oh and while walking around at the flea market, we can get some yummy kettle corn, that ought to take care of any calories we might actually burn off.

Well I weighed in this morning at a whopping (oaky it's not really whopping but feels like it to me ) 187.9lbs. That's up 1.9 from last week.
I was so hoping to do better this week than last. I never really went into any great details about my lousy work weekend. Trust me you don't want to hear about it. Unfortunately I let the results of the weekend follow me around most of the week. And it did not help that I also had TOM show up mid-week.
Sigh
I did get in lots of exercise walking all around the town and going to my classes. In all I had 750 minutes this week. So hopefully that will show results next week as TOM goes away and I get back into my groove again.
I have to go and take a short nap as I need to be to work in about 2 hours and most likely will work 13-15 straight. I know it's alot but I put the extra 4 1/2 hours on myself. It's my contribution to us getting out of debt.
Though I do think that I am going to tell them that I would like to have next Friday off as far as the extra hours go. Otherwise I will end up getting burned out on the whole thing and that won't be good.
Well I hope that everyone has a nice weekend.
Get out and enjoy the sunshine!
