The background:
I have always had trouble with my weight but last Christmas I found out I had really high cholesterol. My doctor told me to lose some weight for my 6 month appointment. I managed to lose 10 pounds fairly easily, bringing me to about 135 and my cholesterol was down to a healthy level.
Unfortunately, my weight didn't stay down. I moved into my sorority house and starting eating nothing but crap. My roommate is one of those people who randomly decides she wants pizza at 11:30 at night and she kind of took me down with her. Then I went on vacation with one of my friends for a week. When I got back I was up to 145.
I decided that there was no way I was going to get any heavier than that. Just from eating "normal" foods again I lost 5 pounds in a couple weeks with out really trying. I decided that I needed to get on track and actively try to lose some weight.
Goals
My ultimate goal is to get down to 110 pounds. I am only about 5'1" so this is a healthy weight for my height. I would like to lose at least 10 pounds by my 21st birthday in November. To encourage myself I decided to give myself incentives. I am very much in to body modification so here are my incentives.
130 - Tongue Piercing
120 - Navel Piercing
110 - Tattoo (on my stomach)
Hopefully having incentives like this will help me meet my goals

To get myself motivated I made myself a food tracker with Excel. It has columns for food type, portion size, protein, fat, carbs, and calories. At the bottom of each day it adds everything up and tells me what percentage of my calories were from each nutrient. At the end of each week it tells me my averages for everything. The first page of the document has a calculator that tells me my calorie needs and it also has a section where I can update my weight weekly and it will tell me my BMI.
I was keeping track of my calories over the past week before I made my new tracker and I found that I'm probably not eating enough. Most days I barely eat more than 1000. For my weight I could probably be eating almost 1500 and still lose weight so I think I am going to be less hard on myself. Plus, I'm going to start going to the gym on Monday and I don't want to pass out like D.J. on that episode of Full House

I felt like updating today because I have a funny story.
I went into the fridge to get a snack because I was starving and I saw some cupcakes on the top shelf. I went and got myself a YooHoo and a cupcake even though I knew it was stupid. As soon as I took a bite, my sister appears out of no where and smacks the cupcake right onto the floor and told me I couldn't have it because I would regret it. She didn't mean to make me throw the cup cake so when it flew out of my hand we were both hysterical laughing. I'm glad she came in and saved me from making a stupid choice. I wish I could bring her to school with me
