6 miles walk!!! Wow that is something!!! I am not sure I walked that much at once lately!! LOL
PS: can't trust the weight during the day though. Especially if you are used to looking at it in the mornings. It could be very different.
Hajni
Yeah, well I'm hoping it stays down for tomorrow's weigh-in! I'm going to watch the salt intake today.

The walk has made me sore. Might not do that for awhile.

Well today has been on track food wise, but I can tell I need to drink some more water.

I didn't exercise, I'm so sore from yesterday - I guess I could've squeezed in an upper body workout, but the day didn't pan out like I wanted it to.
And, I never got to the landscaping stuff - well there is always the weekend.

HI SweatPea,

Hoping that LB stay down for you for tomorrow's weigh in!!
I just looked over the CAsper's tread and I think you have the * and + switched up. + is for exercise and you have 7 listed, * is for the bonus and you only have 5 (I know you have been supporting the team everyday!! LOL ) I was under the impression we can only have + for 6 days as we have to have a rest day thrown in there.
I am just afraid, Tammy will count it as 11 instead of the 12 you have!! (because we are only allowed to count 6 +)
Ok, that is enough of me being a pain.
Looking forward tomorrow's weigh in.
I know you weigh in everyday too, so I am counting on you to keep me on track for the bonus next week!! Boy it will be really hard.!!
Hajni

Oops, ok I will go check. I thought I did it wrong yesterday then went and switched it around. LOL

Well my pound is still there - I mean I've remained the same 169 that I started this challenge with. Ugh!

OK it's fixed. I thought I had it backwards yesterday - I guess it was right, then I switched it....

HI SweatPea,
I am sorry you did not see a loss today. You and I are the same height I think and I was at your weight not a long time ago.. if I may say, when I ate any more than 1500 cal./ day I did not see a loss.
MY BMR is about 1800 cal in sedentary life-style. Meaning if I eat 1800 cal/day and don't exercise I won't lose or gain. So in order to create a cal. deficit I have to reduce the amount of cal I eat and exercise, combining the two to come out to at least 500 cal deficit/day for losing 1 lb/ week. So if you eat 1500 cal/ day, and exercise 200 cal off, you should see a 1 lb weight loss for the week. If you want to see a bigger loss for the week, you have to adjust your cal. deficit accordingly.
I don't know if this is any help, I thought to mention it.
You are doing great on exercises!!! I found for myself that exercise is only half the battle. When I exercise but do not watch what I eat, I won't lose an oz.
Here is to a great week for next week!!! I would try to set your cal. goal per day for 1500, try to do that for a week with exercises and you should definetely see a loss!!! Hajni

Hey Chicka
Sorry you didn't see that lose that you wanted. I know how hard you are trying. And I am sure that you are feeling very discouraged with all of it. But just keep a close eye on those cals and I think it will all fall into place for you.
Keep up all the hard work!

Thanks Bell!

I'm so glad I'm not stepping on the scale today.

Confession time:

Yesterday was really good for workouts and food - until we went to the Outback steakhouse and then too a movie!

For my exercise I did 20 min. on the elliptical and 35 min. on the treadmill. Then, went out and did some cleaning up of the landscape stuff - trimmed shrubs and such.

I had eaten well.

Breakfast: leftover roasted red-skinned potatoes w/ egg beaters and some turkey sausage

Lunch: was a turkey sausage and bell-pepper "hoagie" - it was all homemade and I used a whole wheat hot dog bun instead of a big hoagie bun.

Dinner: (which actually wasn't too awful.) We shared coconut shrimp appetizer (mmm!), shared the bread loaf.
I ordered a griller - chicken w/ rice and veggies - it was delish!

If that was all I did, I think I would've been good. We even told the waiter not to bring out anymore bread. But then went to the movies and had popcorn. Ugh! Well I'm sure it wasn't as bad as we usually get since the movie attendant buttered our corn and usually it is smothered when we do it.

But still, I know it wasn't good.

I am going to try and find a recipe that is like the outback rice - it was so yummy!

And usually I take Sundays off, but I think I'd better exercise today!

There could have been way worse choices you made- all in all was pretty good. And remember, you cant deny yourself all the time- allow a treat in moderation once a week or so.

I'm a HUGE fan of popcorn. At home I usually have it 4-5 times a week. I have an air popper, use spray butter and then season with "kernal seasonings"- I like the Parmesan Garlic, and Ranch. (Being in MD, I often will use "OLD BAY" seasoning too- great stuff!) At work, I will get the 94% fat free kettle korn- perfect mix of sweet and salt!

Well I've been a workout guru lately. I don't know what's come over me - ok I do know. Not looking at the scale is motivating me to keep on track even more! There I said it!

I've been playing with my calorie totals. I found a site that will help to calculate them so that you can zig-zag them - and eat less one day - just a wee bit more another day. The site is http://www.nautralphysiques.com if anyone is interested.

Anyway, my goals are alternating cals from 1360 to 1530 - every other day. Yesterday I was suppose to shoot for 1360, but I got in 1436. Not bad, but I really am trying to get closer to the recommended numbers. So today is a 1530 day - easier - but yesterday wouldn't have been hard if I just would've said no to peanuts! LOL

I just got finished with my workout on the total trainer. I worked my biceps, triceps, shoulders, chest, and back.

Then came upstairs and got out my ab slider - and slid around with the thing 33 times! Woot! That's up from my normal 25. And I haven't done it in awhile.

Today I think I'm going to get some gardening done before I have to pick the kiddos up from school.

Have a good one!

Whooo SweatPea, you are on a mission !!!! Keep this up this week, you WILL see a lower number on your scale on Sat. weigh in!!!!! Guaranteed!!!!!
See I told you so... weighing every day is de-motivating...sometimes. It was for me at the begining, now it just a routine and I don't read so much into it.
I do have the withdrawal symptoms though, geesh two days w/o looking at my scale... makes me wonder : am I up or down...LOL
You have a great motivation vibe going on here... I am sensing lbs lost....
