Ok so that's not really news...LOL But dh can bring coffee home from the office. Usually it's starbucks, but they had these other brands as well this time around. So he brought home this package of decaf. It smelled pretty good, but I can't fathom drinking coffee just to drink it - I like the caffeine (I know, I know bad for healthiness...whatever! I read something new everyday, like this morning I saw an article about how coffee is good for your skin and helping to prevent skin cancer --- so there all you non-coffee drinkers!)

Anywho, the coffee is really good and tastey. It's got a nice flavor to it, even if I blended it with some caffeinated starbucks.

Well off to exercise - today is my half n' half day I guess. I will be on the elliptical for 20 min. then on to the treadmill to complete my workout.

Yay way to go on working out and using 1/2 and 1/2 in coffee!I like coffee only if I can put 10 pks of splenda and fat free vanilla cream lol.
Your doing great and I wanted to drop by and say hi!Tammy

Hi SweatPea,
congrats on your shorts not being so snug anymore!!! Awesome measurement of success right there!!!
I used to never drink coffee, I always told DH he is addicted. Now I drink one every morning and it became a habit!! Went on vacation and since Europe drink coffee differently (it is like tar I tell you) I did not drink coffee there at all, and I did not even miss it. So i think it is just a habit now, but boy if we had to give coffee up for a week, I would miserably fail!!! (Tammy, this is NOT a hint for your next week's challenge. LOL)I never tried the half coffee half decaf, does not sound bad at all. I might give it a try and see if it works for me.
Elliptical then treadmill huh? Lot's of determination over here!!
Have a great Monday!!
Hajni

Hey Tammy, thanks for stopping by!

Hajni, yeah I like to mix up the treadmill and elliptical. I like the elliptical, but no matter what I do on it, my feet go numb - I've tried it all!
And then it gives me just that much more energy to get onto the treadmill - not that excited about that machine.

This morning I woke up with a horrible headache. It's just now passing. I didn't get my workout in and am hoping to have the energy to do so later on.

Today has been much better.

Yesterday I didn't accomplish not one darn thing! I was in such a blah mood.
I was lucky to have taken a shower. Some days are like that around here, and I guess they might never completely go away.

I got up this morning - late - barely saw my youngest out the door for school. I wasn't in the best of moods, but then got online and watched some tv. Then, ate my lunch (breakfast was just a banana and coffee.) Then, got dressed and went downstairs.

Got on the elliptical for 20 min., treadmill for 35 min. (that included a 5 min. cool down), and did some bicep and triceps with weights (oh and a little shoulder work.) So now I feel accomplished.

Way to go girly!!
I still need to work my workout in as dh and I went to lunch and I ended up staying out to grocery shop. Then ran into Shirley K who wanted me to have a bite to eat with her. Did sit with her but only had 1 cookie and a few baked chips. Oh and had about 52ozs of H2O today.
Hope you had a great day!

I hate waking up late too- just puts you in a mood for hours, if not the whole day. Good that you got your exercise in anyway!

I thought I was the only one whose feet did that! I was worried I was doing something wrong....

Hi Mindi,

Thanks for stopping by. Nope - I don't think it's anything we do wrong - I've heard a lot of people say the same thing.

I do try to do some reps on my tippy toes and some on my heels so that my foot isn't stationary. And some times I try to "walk" on the elliptical too - so that my feet are moving. My feet still go numb, but not as bad.

Yeah my feet do the same thing. I have found that if I squeeze my toes on a regular basis BEFORE my feet feel numb then it doesn't happen. It's when I am just flying along and forget about it that it happens to me.

Bell - I do the toe squeeze too.

I just got off the elliptical - well about an hour ago now. And I did weights (upper body). For a total of like 48 min. The elliptical recorded 4.55 miles - and that was in 33 min.! I was really working that machine.

I will be out of the forum tomorrow - I mean for the whole day - unless I sneak on when I get home from the field trip. I'm going with ds to Detroit to the Henry Ford Museum. It's going to be a long day!

I will wear my pedometer to keep track of the walking, but I'm sure it will all be at a snail's pace. I just hope the bumpy bus doesn't make the thing calculate "steps".

Ooh sounds like a thunderstorm is coming...

I got to go get my shower and get to bed - it's going to be an early one for me!

Ok so I did survive.

We did a lot of walking - and it wasn't at a snail's pace. With 3 5th grade boys to watch over, I had barely anytime to sit down - and when I did have time - I didn't think it was a good idea with the crew I had. Well one was my son, he wasn't the problem, he would've liked to been at a snail's pace.

I did keep track with my pedometer and we walked over 20,000 steps! I believe it too as the "village" was over 200 acres and I don't know how big the Museum was - but with cars and airplanes and other such things - you know it was big!

I didn't sweat, but had big headache most of the day - I wonder if that burns a lot of calories?

I don't know if the headache was from:

A. lack of coffee since I only had 1 cup of 1/2 and 1/2
B. Not drinking enough during the day - since I wasn't going to pay $3 for a bottle of water
C. The two boys wanting to do things they shouldn't be asking to do - and me saying, No cause I said and we are going to this instead...
D. All of the Above

I will go with D. I'm pretty sure it was a mixture of them all.

Anyway, I survived, and I should be proud of myself since I didn't lose any kids and I didn't kill any of them either....

Fun is not the word I would choose.

However, it's a bus load of 5th graders and parent chaperones plus two teachers - they do stop for potty breaks! But they are scheduled.

Glad u survived the kids! I have found that the younger the kids, the more enjoyable the trip, tho the decible level can be just as bad!

You and me must be infected with plateau-itis- little or no movement on the scale. But we are determined to rid ourselves of this "disease" and will move forward toward our goal!
