Well I couldn't get on here after I posted Friday evening - the internet went kaput at my house. But yesterday I was sore and today I'm still sore. It's mostly in the hamstrings. Ouch! Not as bad as the time I told you about when I did it myself, but still....

Thanks for dropping by. I have upped my exercise routine, just need to keep a reign on the food.

So last night I went to a friend's house. She had a Bunco night - a dice game party. Anyway, I've never played, but it was easy to learn and fun. She has a regular group that she plays with, but they were down a few of their regulars, so she invited a few of us that never play.

The main thing this function also revolves around is food. And I for one am not able to stay away from the junk. I ate lots of things last night that I shouldn't have and that I knew better. But it was just right there on the table for you to grab, then on the counter too. Ugh! Anyway, I'm going to try for a cleansing type day and just stick to protein and veggies and fruits.

Hopefully that will clean out my system. Well it looks like I've got more staining to do...so got to go.

Yikes!

I know what ya mean, I love seeing friends and family but usually there are lots of bowls of chips and other snacks for grazing. REAL hard to resist temptation.

I'm sure all your exercising will keep any "damage" to a minimum. Nothing to do but do what you have been doing: eating healthy and exercise.

Good Luck hun!

Don't sweat the snacking. As long as you don't become a regular bunco player it's all small potatoes. Maybe try to get in some extra exercise this week and skip your goodies reminding yourself that you already had your portion of treats for the week. It will all come out in the wash I'm sure I hope everything is going well. Sorry I wasn't in touch much last week... I was just in a mood (most likely pms) and sorta had my cat claws out... I hope you have a good week!

BG - Don't sweat it, I didn't think anything about it. I have those weeks too.
As far as Bunco - they play once a month - it would be nice to play again, and if it's only once a month, I could try to contain myself better.

Well yesterday I did 60 min. of exercise and I just got done with 65 more min. (went on a walk with dh then hit the elliptical.)

Yesterday we went to a hockey game with some members of our church. It was a real bru-haha. At one point two of these players took off their gloves and helmets and met "in the circle" and duked it out. The referees stepped in after the one guy got the better hand. The funny thing was that at first I thought they were just "joking", but nope...they were mad at each other. My ds said that he saw they were going at a hockey puck then all of the sudden just through down their sticks and the gloves came flying.

I dunno, but it made for an interesting night. LOL

This is one sport my youngest ds actually likes, so we might go to the play-offs as a family in a few weeks. I think he just likes the bashing....

Howdee SP!

Your exercise has really kicked up a notch that past months! As I told MLB, you ladies have inspired me to do the same!

I've never been to a hockey game. It sounds exciting!

Yarmiah,

Hockey games are a little boring, but can be exciting with all the rough housing going on.

So, I went and worked out with Bell again to night. I'm going to feel it in my arms and probably my chest tomorrow. I am so weak though, I used to do so much as far as exercise goes and now I feel like a weakling. Of course, Bell says I'm doing good for just starting out, but I feel like I should be doing better.

Dh got me a lap top for my training coming up this summer and that's what I'm using tonight. However, dh says he might have to send it back since it didn't come with a cd drive - though it never said it didn't have one. He bought it on clearance thru his company and is a little upset with them. Guess they said that's why it's on clearance because whomever returned it did so w/o the cd drive.

Well I guess that's a lesson learned about buying things on clearance - he says that it will cost too much to buy a new cd drive for this computer anyway. But I'll still get one, just not maybe this one.

I guess I'm a little nervous about the training because it is 7 wks long and I'm not one to be gone that long from the family.

You keep coming back! Do you realize how many girls try it once or twice and quit because it hurts too much? You did an amazing job! And you will get better. You and I both know you are no quitter. You will be back into the swing of things in no time. In fact I give you a month and you will be back!

LOL I was just thinking of that time you got the Reese's Peanut Butter Cups on clearance! Your right. When it is on clearance ya got to be careful.

I don't know how your gonna manage w/o the fam for 7 weeks. Heck I don't know how they will manage w/o you!
Maybe I will have to make a Road Trip! You know to cheer you up from your home sickness.

Sweatpea- I'm not sure what class you're taking with Bell, but she's absolutely right. I see a lot of ppl come to my kickboxing class and leave halfway thru... they don't even make it one whole class. So good for you

So where's the training? 7 weeks is a long time.

Those long distances away from family can be difficult, I know, but sometimes, they are worth it! Maybe you'll have some extra time to workout and focus on eating right etc.

Good luck with that, and I hope everything works out for ya. Where are you heading off to for that amount of time?

Of course you can come! But during the week I will be busy, you'd have to take a weekend off.

That's too funny you remember the REESE CUPS! I haven't talked to dh about the laptop, so not sure what he's doing with it, but he was using it when I came home.

I guess I'm a little bummed because I used to be able to do a lot more (like push-ups...I could do 30 regular ones all in a row when I took martial arts, now nothing but the girlie ones.)

The training is in St. Louis, it's for the Montessori school I'm working for. I've got a degree in education, but I guess you need to be trained in their "ways". So it's 7 wks this summer, 7 wks next, then 4 wks the 3rd summer! I'm already getting homesick thinking about it.

But dh said that maybe I'd be so busy with the workload that I wouldn't have time to be homesick.

Oh yeah I'll definitely have extra time, but I'm sure it will be to do the work. I will probably eat next to nothing. I guess they have me staying at a Homewood Suite, so I'll have a kitchen, etc. Just that I will either eat bad - or barely anything. I know myself too well. So, I'll go with the 2nd option. The good thing is is that they have a fitness center - and internet access!! So I'm good there.

Going to St. Louis.
