How was your day in the Amusement Park? Did you walk around a lot?
Hope you had a good and exiting day.
Hajni
Well the plan was to walk around a lot - which is normally like a 6 hour stay. But after about 3 hrs, dh and I got on this one ride and it did not fair well with dh. He got dizzy and was very pale when we got off. We went and ate lunch and that still didn't settle him down enough to want to get on any other rides.
It's the end of the season so the "shows" were all closed too. So dh and I left early. Came home and slept.
I ate bad - it was a grilled chicken breast dipped in hot sauce on a bun - that wasn't the worst part. It was the homemade chips - mmm they were so good and crunchy. Then dh ordered "loaded" fries - cheese and bacon on top of french fries. Ouch!
I ate some of those too. :sigh:
Then, didn't get in the other 3 hrs of walking in as planned. Oh well. Life goes on right?
So tomorrow's plan - after sleeping in is elliptical time and maybe a walk with the dog later.
Back on plan with food.

Hey
Sorry to hear that J-man wasn't feeling so hot. What a bummer that you guys ended up coming home early. We had that happen to us the year we went after the "season" was over. Except Gil upset his back on a wooden coaster and the pain was so bad that he threw up.
Needless to say we also came home early that year. No shows.........so what's the point if your not gonna ride any rides right?
Don't worry about the food. Like I said yesterday at least now you are being more aware of what you are eating. So instead of eating whatever mindlessly you are trying to not eat so much of it, which apparently (thru that in there for you hahaha) is half the battle!
Tell J-man I hope he feels better.
Keep the pace!!!

I will tell him. He is feeling better, I gave him a really nice back rub!! And there weren't any shows showing this time around either - I guess cause it was off season. I've never seen the shows there, so when you said something about I thought about looking for them. The aquarium was even closed.
Well yesterday I was wiped out. Took a nap and then got up in enough time to send the kids to bed. Stayed up a little longer, then went to bed myself.
Got up this morning with the intention of working out - only I had one heckola of a headache and knew it wasn't going to work. I did manage to walk down to my MIL's house and back. I think our intention was to walk further, but it was already pretty muggy at 10 am this morning.
Today's meals:
Breakfast: high protein cereal mixed w/ blueberry almond crunch and soy milk
Lunch: turkey sandwich on ww bread with tomato, spinach, mayo, and cheese
Snack: ice cream - OOPs!!!
Dinner: baked tortilla chips with a no-bean chili dip and fresh cilantro salsa
Snack: special K cereal bar
Water: 60 ounces

Sucks that both you and J-man didn't feel well today.
I actually felt really good today. Shoulders were good, only a bit of tightness across the back in the rib area.
Your meals look good and the water intake looks great!
Is that my cilantro salsa recipe? We finally ran out and I had to buy more cilantro at the store.
Hope your feeling better tomorrow.

Yes, cilantro salsa you told me how to make. I'm not sure I did it exactly right though - maybe too much cilantro? Oh well, I'm thinking of making chicken tonight to go with it - meld the flavors.

That's awesome Hajni, I'm going to go over and see what's up with the challenge after I post here.
I just got back from a 10 mile hike! Well about an hour ago or so. We went on a local nature trail (several trails in one nature park.) I figure that's like 20,000 steps!!!
I don't know the exact calorie count, but it took us less than 3 hrs (only by about 6 min. though.)
We went out for lunch afterwards and I was hungry and thirsty. I already ate my calorie allotment. Doh!
Tonight will be just a salad, and lots of water!!

I saw the Casper thread, just didn't copy and paste yet...
I am soooooo tired this morning. I had an upset tummy last night (that will teach me not to eat the junk that those gardner's put out - right Bell?) So, I went out to lie down on the couch and watched Top Chef. I love that program - except who eats that way all of the time? Ick!
And by the time I turned the tv off it was after midnight. I slept on the couch, but then got up after 1 am and went to bed. I felt pretty numb at that point. I got up at 7am and had to take my oldest to school cause he missed the bus. He went out to see if it was coming and it was going down a lane that he figured he had at least 10 min. to spare. So he came in and jacked-the-jaw, and by the time the bus gave two honks - she was outta here! No waiting, I guess.
So, I went and stopped at the admin office to pick up a substituion packet for substituting teachers. It's like trying to get hired at Fort Knox and I even have a degree in elementary education!
I also got a call from Barnes and Noble for a dept. manager job, so I'm going to go in this afternoon and see what it's all about.
I guess there are pros and cons to any job - I'm just so used to my freedom right now...
As far as diet goes - yesterday was bad. I told Bell all about it, and don't feel like repeating it here, let's just say way over 2000 cals. I guess I thought I "deserved" it after the 10 mile hike. But, guess I was wrong cause the scale is up this morning.
Bell reminded me that I am doing the team challenge, and I of course rolled my eyes at her - cause I know - and I'm just not giving myself a fighting chance this go around.
Ok so I need to go exercise this morning and then, I will go get a shower, and then go off for the interview.
I think that little icon is cute.
Have a good one!

Good luck with the job & the rest of the day. Sounds like a struggle for many of us. I got up 7 minutes before I needed to be in the office (turned off the alarm in my sleep!) & then proceeded to walk out & lock the door only to realize I couldn't get into my car since the keys were still in the house! Eek.
Anyway hope this challenge motivates you to find the energy you need. Hang in there.

Hey Hajni,
Thanks! I just got back from my beautician's. She did an awesome job! I love it - it's shaggy baby!
I'm ready for the challenge, I need to get my exercise in still.
I've barely ate anything today too - haven't had much time. I need to drink my water too! Ugh! A whole lot of busy today!
