Rep Power: 27 | | Ok this is kind of sad. But I just looked at my sparkpeople page and I was 170 in Jan. of last year. I had lost weight - I know I did. Because this past fall I got down to 158 (Oct. 2008.) So that means I'm back to where I was at about the same time as last year. Ugh!
I really hate this.
Also, I have lost a lot of strength in my arms. I went to pick up a box of copy paper and could barely lift it up off of the floor.
I really need a good swift kick in the butt... and I guess I'm the only one that's going to do anything about it... so it's time to stop whining and start doing something! I'm so mad at myself. |

If your taking names of willing participants to swiftly kick you in the hinny end, I am throwing my name into the ring. Only if you promise to give me one right back though! haha |

I'm so mad at myself. | I know what you are talking about. Last September I managed to get to 142 which is the lowest I ever been in my adult life. I did maintain my 145 for over a year before that and this is my secret : I don't let the scale climb over 5 lbs higher than my happy weight. Anything over 5 lbs (like now, throw the pregnancy in there which had me put on another 10) is just SOOOO much harder to lose.
I am not saying maintaining is as hard as losing, but it requires effort. I still jump on the scale every day, not freaking out by the daily fluctuations, but I know when i had a couple of "bad days" or a bad week and then I have to watch it for the next week or two.
look at it this way : YOU HAVE DONE IT BEFORE, YOU CAN DO IT AGAIN!!! This is my main motivation... I know how I did it, I know what worked, I just have to bite the bullet and get on with it.
keep the goal in mind Sweatpea, it is so worth it at the end!!!!!!

Rep Power: 27 | | I hate DST! It really does a number on my motivation because right now I'm just soooo tired and can barely drive to work or home w/o feeling like I'm ready to fall asleep. I even go to bed at a decent time - about 10 pm and get up at 5:30 am. That should be plenty of sleep, but I'm feeling run down again.
I think it has to do with the weather too - lots and lots of rain. But today the sun came out - now if it would just warm up and stay warm. Of course I need it to be warm and not chilly for me to want to go outside.
I did get on the scale and it was at 165.8 this morning. I have not been exercising consistently and for me that is the key. I can't get by with just 30 min. either - it has to be at least 1 hr! But where I am now, I will just have to work back up to that amount.
Well if there is any hope for me working out this evening, I'd better get off of this crazy machine..... |

Rep Power: 27 | | Yesterday I didn't get up until 8:30 am! That's after going to bed at 10 pm. I knew I needed some sleep. I did get up and got online (my procrastinator machine.) Then, I went and got on the elliptical. I also did about 2 miles of walking.
But.... I went to a movie and had buttered popcorn. Ah well a girl can try, right?
I'm waiting to take my ds to church this evening and then I will come home and work out again - before going back to pick him up. |

Rep Power: 21 | | Buttered popcorn? Now, I know why I never go to the movies...
Girl, those things have like millions of calories...
Good for you jumping on the elliptical and getting the walk in!! I know it is hard to get back to the exercise wagon especially when there are so many things that needs attention around the house , kudos for you for getting it in!!!
Hope you have a great week!!

Rep Power: 27 | | Oh Haj, I know about the buttered popcorn. But, dern it smells soo good!
Just a quick update - I've now exercised everyday since Sat.! I know, nothing really to brag about, but it's a new record for me for now.
I need to do something about the flabby arms though - I don't even want to wear my short sleeved shirts! |

Rep Power: 27 | | Weight is the same. But it's all my fault (like who else is going to claim blame? LOL) Eating needs to get under better control!
Anyway, I've been working out either on the elliptical, treadmill, or lately when we've had nice weather we have been taking a walk. Today the walk was tougher due to the wind... I hope that counts towards calories burned. |

Rep Power: 27 | | After getting on the scale this morning, I decided enough was enough.
I'm going to start by setting mini-goals, checking my calories, and exercising at least 30 min./day. I know it's not a lot, but it's a lot more than zero!
So far today my cals are at about 1100. My goal is to keep them at 1600 or less.
I haven't exercised yet, but am going to right after dinner.
My mini- goal is to lose 6 lbs. That will put me at 160. Then, I will go from there.
Wish me luck! |

Rep Power: 7 | | Good luck! You can do it.. I think mini goals are the best so we dont overextend ourselves.. dreaming of one day being 115 etc... a little at a time. It was hard for me to get back on the scale but I knew it was something that had to be done if I was going to measure results and have any goal at all. You should think about joining the Super Challenge that starts on 4/06 |
