Rep Power: 26 | | | 2 out of 3 ain't bad, right? Just a refresher:
My plans from Sunday (aka yesterday) was to exercise 30 min./day, keep my cals at 1600 or less, and log them into sparkpeople.
Well yesterday, I believe they were a little over 1600 - closer to 1700. I did my exercise on the elliptical (even upped the resistance - because I had read that most people don't and that's why the elliptical doesn't always cut it as far as losing weight goes.)
Today, I worked out, logged my cals. but I ate way over the limit. I ate more than 2000 cals!
I think it was pretty good until I got my hands on some mini-muffins at school. 2 of the "minis" are 220 cals! I had 4!!
Then, I came home and we had some no-salt potato chips. I wasn't planning on eating any - even though I've been craving them lately. But, ds had the idea to pour salt over them - guess what I tasted them and it was just too much. I devoured more than I should've. Because I guess since they were still "fried" chips, they soaked up the salt pretty well.
Not great excuses either. I did have all good intentions.
I guess 2 out of 3 isn't bad, right? Although, I know my body and my body will not budge no matter how much I exercised if I'm eating like that.
Scale was still the same this morning too... but what do I expect immediate results? Kind of like that commercial where the guy is at the gym, runs around one time, then gets up on the scale? LOL |

Rep Power: 26 | | April 1st was my bday - so I guess this is my bday week.
I only ate badly the day before my bday when my bestest bf took me out for Mexican and ice cream.
I haven't exercised all week - mostly because of being so tired. Dh has been gone half of the week, that means late nights for me.
Then, I had to do a last min. thing for school Thurs. night which meant another late night. It was last min. because I wasn't told about it sooner. To top that off I had a meeting after school on Thurs and then came home to do the research that I needed to do - so no exercise that evening either. I also had to miss out on small group because of it.
I'm still feeling exhausted and didn't do anything today. So much for my goals, eh? |

Today is a new day.
I am starting the Couch to 5k thing today so you can join with me if you want. You could probably even listen to the music and just do the elliptical if you wanted. You know just push it hard instead of running.
You have to be one of the most determined peeps I know. Soooo I know that when you set your mind to it you CAN get it done.
Don't life get in the way.
I have for the last year and look where it got me......all the way back up to 213! Bleck!!!
Let's do this thing together!!!! |

Rep Power: 26 | | Well I wish it was that simple. I'm just soo tired today. I'm not sure why.
But, then we also got some bad news at school today. So that put the damper in my mood even if I had a good one. |

I have not even stuck by my mini-goals. I just don't know how to motivate myself anymore.
I'm going to take it 1 day at a time. |

Rep Power: 35 | | Thats the best way to go.
I have been doing mini-mini-goals.
Like:
stick to cal intake for just one day,
walk at least a mile,
eat only healthy (no junk) for a day
Each mini- goal eventually builds up to be a bigger goal.
Find what works for you. |

Not today I didn't. But you can bet I will be at the YMCA tomorrow.
Can't let myself go that long again.
Not when I am on the roll that I am on.
Unless you count exercising my right to talk and talk and talk!!!! |

Rep Power: 26 | | No me exercising silly girl! I have to exercise in order to lose weight. How silly is that?
And yes you do like to talk. Too bad that doesn't burn calories!
On another note...
I posted this in Mindi's journal and thought I'd just copy and paste it here.
My dh made a comment tonight that was not very nice and I'd like to use this on him , but I guess it is true. I had gotten out some ice cream (have to let it thaw just a little before scooping it out.) And, then I went to do some sit-ups. He said if you wouldn't have the ice cream you wouldn't have to do the sit-ups.
Grrr... I just got up and put the ice cream away. 1st of all I had just gotten back from an hour long walk and felt like the ice cream. I was doing the sit-ups for myself, not because of the ice cream. I'm a little mad at him and at myself. He bought the ice cream, but doesn't eat it. I love it. Grrr!
It is probably a good thing I didn't have the ice cream (even though I'm still mad at dh for the comment), but my cals are high enough - 1700.
The walk was a good one out and around the farm, hills and all. We were out for an hour. I'm hoping to get in more walks before the bug season starts to be too bad.
Of course, I do still have the treadmill and elliptical downstairs, I bet they are might dusty.

Rep Power: 26 | | I have been so disgusted with myself especially since Friday when I went to put on a pair of jean shorts and they squished my belly so much, I felt uncomfortable! These are shorts I bought last summer at the end....ugh!
Anyway, it inspired me to work out. I did try to take a walk with my husband on Sunday evening, but there were these tiny black flies out that were bugging the heck out of dh and I. So we made it a short walk.
Then, yesterday I got on the treadmill and did the 1st day of the couch to 5k (going to follow Bella's steps.) And tonight I did the elliptical.
My hip has been hurting all day from the walk/jog, but I'm going to keep up and see if it will work it's way out eventually. Otherwise I'll have to continue with the elliptical.
My weight yesterday was at 169 and this morning 168.2. So, I'm hoping it stays down, because that is up 3 lbs from when I made the ticker below. I don't know if I should start counting the loss from now or the 166? LOL
I am also cutting out snacking and trying to have higher protein contents in my meals. |

Glad to hear that your giving the c25k a go. I got someone at the Y splicing and dicing me up a new c25k program. One that is all Christian music. Music I actually wannna listen too! hahaha
I'll get back into the c25k when he gets it to me. Hopefully it won't be much more than a week to a week and a 1/2.
Sorry to hear about the shorts. The same thing has happened to me. And if I don't get myself back on track soon I won't have any shorts to wear at all this summer.
