Up early this morning so I thought I'd pop in to see if anything happened overnight!

Last night I got on the elliptical for 20 min. then did a heart rate work out for 20 min. on the treadmill (well actually 26 min. with a cool down for 5 min.) It was a really great workout!

My plans for today are to get in some toning exercises. I have a total trainer, it's like the total gym only not as expensive and has more options (pilates stuff.) I like it ok. I used to use it every other day, but then, I faltered and I barely get on it. It is a little boring, but better than nothing. That or I will do a power yoga workout. Either way, I know it will do what I want it to do.

I weighed in this morning and am at the same as I was last week. Ugh! But I know why that is ... and it's my own fault.
The Halloween Challenge will definitely keep me on track as well as Bell! She's like that little voice inside that says, "hmmm? what do you think you're doing?" Only she's louder than that!!! LOL

Ok so off for now... I'll be back....

HI SweatPea!!
Great to see you so motivated!! It is going to make me move my butt today. Hope I can get my exercises done, I am looking forward to a very busy day.
Congrats on getting your exercise done yesterday!
I got on the scale this morning and I am back to 160.
Your goal of losing 9 lbs seems very reasonable for the challenge. I set 10 lbs to lose but I am not sure I will get there... LOL
Have a great weekend!!!
Hajni

Great job gettin the exercising in, and more importantly, not gettin discouraged! I love the eliptical, but ended my membership at the gym in the spring. Money was getting tight, and I figured I can use other ways to get my exercise in. This Halloween Challenge has me motivated too!

As far as 9 lbs, I'm sure hoping it will work, but that's 1 lb per week. For me I know it will be a struggle, but not too bad of one. At least if I have a goal, it will be for sure that I will lose something!!

Hi all!

I didn't desert anyone. Just haven't had much to say. It's been a busy weekend.

Dh was gone so I made plans to stay busy (not like I don't have enough to do around here!)

I went out with a friend on Sat. we ate at a Mexican restaurant and then went shopping. The food was good, and I know I ate too many cals. Didn't get in exercise.
Sun. was Church, then went over to Bella's for lunch. She had made a really good stew the night before and had leftovers. It was yummy! Then, I went grocery shopping - I hate shopping for groceries. And even worse I hate going by myself. Well my son was with me, but it's not the same. Then came home and cleaned up a little. I just can't stand too much clutter (except on my desk - don't ask!)
So, tidied up a bit. Then decided to get in some exercise. Wanted to take a long walk, but the mosquitoes are so bad right now, they will pick you up and carry you away - and the bug spray doesn't phase them! So the walk was cut short. I came home and got out the ab slider (cause Bella is doing hers.) I am sore from that today - in my abs and my shoulders.
Today thought I didn't exercise. I had plans, I really did, they just didn't muster together! I did however teeter totter on this new fangled teeter totter thing for about 10 min. - do you think that counts? LOL
I also cleaned - swept my garage and floors, and stuff. Things I don't always get done.

It felt like a weekend day, and I just like to relax on the weekends. :sigh:

Bell came over today and we went to the park (that's why I got in the teeter tottering.) I would've liked to have played more, but it was pretty hot with no shade there. I never can figure that out - they build such nice equipment, but then there's no shade to enjoy it.

Water has been going really good though. So yay for that!

HI SweatPea,
I hear you about the grocery shopping. I am lucky DH always comes, otherwise I wouldn't buy the things he likes.. like his junk food and such.
Hmm, so 3 days with no exercise? Are you letting our team down? LOL I might have to report you there!!
I have a treadmill and I would love to have an elliptical too. This way I could just switch them and also I can read on the elliptical which makes the time fly by. ( at least on the type of elliptical I use at the gym)
Congrats on the water!!!
So here is to a great week !!
Hajni

Nope - only 2 days w/o exercise! I did get in exercise yesterday - for 30 min. (ab slide, crunches, push-ups, etc.) I guess I didn't make that clear.

Whee! Sounds like you're really making strides. Taking a couple of days off every now and again is a good thing, even if it is during a challenge. *ducks head before hajini can hit me* Good luck.

Hey Haj! It is really really great to have her as a bud on here as well as real life. We actually knew each other in real life first...first time for me...usually my online friends are just that - online friends and if by chance I get to meet them, then that's great too!

We have a standing date for each Tues. and Fri., but her MIL is in from Puerto Rico and is just getting settled in, so this week is out. But next week we'll be back to our walks and bike riding (I think that's what we decided on!)

Thanks Sunny, it's good to hear that!

Actually I'm down a pound! Woohoo! I couldn't believe it when I weighed in this morning. Now I just need to keep it off for the official weigh-in on Sat. for the challenge.

Today was a busy, busy day. I started out normal - surfing the net - I should've used that time to workout. Didn't realize what was in store. Well I sort of did, but thought it wouldn't be such a rush-rush day.
I got in here this morning, but then I had to log out right away without even reading a darn thing!

I updated our checkbook. Dh has been doing it and has been doing a great job with it, but he kept getting a different balance to the good (thank goodness!) So, before he just put it back in there, I told him I'd go thru the account and see if I could find anything. I found some negs he forgot, but I did find the mistakes in the plus side (mostly it was putting in a credit card charge as a bank charge.)
That took about an 1.5 hrs.
Then, I realized I had a dentist appointment at 1:15. Well it was already 12 pm when I was done with the checkbook. So I got ready for the dentist appt. and ate lunch, then left.

My dental assistant likes to talk (and so do I.) So I didn't get out of the appt. until 2:50. When I looked at the clock I realized that I had to go pick up my ds from elementary school at 3 pm. Generally it takes 15 min. to get from where I was to where I was going. Then, I realized I forgot to remind him this morning. Then I realized I didn't have my cell phone with me! So zoom (within the legal limits) to the school. I got there just in time - and he remembered about me picking him up - I had even forgotten I told him yesterday!

Then we had to race to the high school (back in the same direction I originally came from!) to get my oldest son. Both of them and I had eye appts today (4, 4:30, and 5pm.)

So then when we were done - which took forever (it seemed) cause my youngest refused to pick out any glasses that were in stock. The lady said she could order some others and then he could pick from them. I said he was going to pick from one of those two pairs she's ordering in or the one I liked - he has no other choices when we go in on Fri!

Then, we stopped at subway and came home.

I ate, then went out and started painting my shed - well putting the finishing touches on it. I only stayed out as long as I could before the mosquitoes decided to carry me away. It's mostly done, but it looks like something keeps eating the paint off of the wood (maybe grasshoppers?)

Came in and took a shower (cause I was coated with deet and sweat!)
And now I'm resting.....

Oh and incase anyone missed it - I'm down a pound today!!!!

Foodwise:
Protein bar
2 slices of totinos pizza (dh made it for lunch and cut it skinny - I don't even think I had 1/2 of it - also had to eat fast cause of the dentist appt.)
Chicken teriaki sub from Subway
sun chips
Coffee and creamer
WATER!!!!

Exercise:
Painted shed for 1.5 hours (not sure if that counts, but that's all I could get int.)
