HI SweatPea,
WHoo And I thought my day way busy!!! LOL
Congrats on a lb down!! Awesome!!
I think painting a shed counts as exercise, informal but counts!!!
Looks like you ran around enough for a week also to all those appts!
And still you had a chance to get your water in!! I find myself almost avoiding to drink water when I have to go somewhere because I have to run to the bathroom every 20 min. I have been drinking around 96 oz since Ilast September but sorry to report: my body DID not get used to it and I still have to go every 20 min which can be quite annoying at times like grocery shopping. DH thinks half the time I am making it up!! LOL
Well, have a good night and a great day tomorrow!!

Hey Hajni!
Yeah, it was a lot of running around. I didn't plan it that way either, it just sort of happened.
We were supposed to have the eye appts. two weeks ago - but I had to cancel due to an interview running over time.
Then, Fri. I got the reminder for the dental appt.! I was like whoa that's going to be a long day. Of course if I didn't talk so much it probably wouldn't have lasted as long! LOL
I have a very strong bladder - always have. Now in the morning with the coffee, that's when it just wants to go right thru me. I did have to use the restroom at the eye dr.'s!!

I am going to go help a friend (Nicole) paint her shed. Thank goodness her shed is like 3 foot by 3 foot. LOL
She's taking me out to lunch as payment. I'd better do good to keep the pound off for good!
I'll be back later to post my daily progress.

I know how those dental office run behind- I work front desk in a pediatric dental office. Usually we run late because of the doctor, not so much because of the patient.
I certainly would consider painting exercise! I'm sure your muscles will tell you the same within 48 hours ! l

No theme, just one color ("pita bread" - LOL.) She's smart!
I did eat well, I ate a grilled panini (there is a new Italian Grill out by where she lives - out by the Dekalb Hospital.) And they had homemade chips - I only ate a few and let Nicole have the rest. Oh and they did give a chocolate chip cookie with our meal - we didn't even ask for it! It was yummy.
Her shed is like a "doll-house" compared to mine. We got it all done in under 4 hrs. We took a break after 2 hrs, then went to lunch and finished up before 3pm.

My muscles aren't so sore, but my shoulders are. Ouch! They are really "creaking".

Today as stated above, I helped a friend paint her shed. It took under 4 hrs to get it done, so not as bad as my "barn". I was just putting the finishing touches on my barn and that took an hour and a 1/2!
She took me out to lunch for "payment" and I tried to be good, I really did.
I did look up the cals for a panini and they are quite high, but I really did work the booty today. Because once I got home, I just had a small salad, then decided since I was still stinky and sweaty that I would just go hop on the elliptical. Got in 40 min! So not only did I do almost 4 hours of painting, but I also got on the elliptical!!!!
I don't know what happened to that pound, because this morning when I stepped on the scale, I was up again. :sigh: I didn't even eat that much at all???
I know I shouldn't worry about it, but I do. Of course weighing every day helps to keep me on track.
Water was great - cause I had to down a bunch after being in the hot sun all day! :d

HI SweatPea,
Oh, the scale monsters...
Good for your 40 min elliptical. That thing is hard, 40 min did burn off a lot of calories!!
Keep up the momentum and motivation...
Have a great day tomorrow.

Thanks Hajni! I didn't go as fast as I normally do, but I guess that was to be expected after working on a shed for 4 hrs!

I didn't get to post in my journal yesterday. Right when I was going to do it, the internet connection was lost. I don't know if dh was messing around with it or what... but then I realized I had to leave for my Master Gardening class - and I had to leave early because I had to return a game to the video store.
Anyway, yesterday I got in 40 min. on my Total Trainer. It's like a total gym, only different. LOL I used to be able to get things done at level 17 - now had to start out at level 10!!!! Oops. When I work out on the total trainer I do the workouts as suggested by BFL - that way it's not "boring" and you keep challenging yourself.
So, goofy me decided to do 30 min. on the elliptical after that. Ha! I felt great, and am not sore. Only one of my arms is a little sore, but I might not have stretched it out good enough after the workout.
Today my plan is to do a yoga workout and get out the ab slider - the other day when I did the ab slider, I didn't think it worked much except for my shoulders. But then for 3 days afterwards I felt it in my abs and my sides....
Eating has been good - no great! However, I don't know what's going on because I'm up instead of down. I'm hoping it all disappears by tomorrow mornings weigh-in for the challenge.
Drinking water has been great too. I'm just hoping I don't float away....

Earlier this week I went down one pound, today was the "official" weigh-in for the challenge, and I'm right back where I started.
At least it's not a gain, I guess. But geesh - eating so little - compared to what I used to (probably over 2000 cals. per day to now less than 1700 per day.) And exercising - which before was closer to nill. I need to figure out the balance.
It's always been hard for me to lose weight -- why is it so easy to gain it!!!
Yesterday I did 25 reps on the ab slider and did a 40 min. yoga workout. I also stained a window (pella real wood window frame.) And lost nothing...nada...zilch.
Ugh! So I guess I will go down right now and get on the elliptical for 20 min. then the treadmill for 20 more. I'm so "depressed" - not in the literal sense of course.
