Rep Power: 26 | | SweatPea is going to sweat it all off... Ok so the nickname was supposed to be SweetPea because that is what my darling hubby calls me.. but I misspelled it. And wahlah, Sweat Pea it is... LOL
Oh well, I kind of like it.
I followed a friend of mine in here and have realized I need to do this once again or I will just keep climbing up on the scale - that my weight won't stay in one place if I don't do anything about it.
I like to whine about things like not getting to eat what I want, but then I have to face the facts ... do I want to eat what I want and be sluggish the rest of my life or do I want to lose weight and be healthy?
I have lost weight in the past to the tune of 66 lbs. My heaviest being 210 lbs. - on my 5'3" body - it's not the healthiest. I'm currently (as of this morning at 172.5 lbs) I would like to be in the 140's. I know that it will take a lot of diligence (dh's new word for the day) and patience. And I know I'm not going to get there by eating ice cream or snickers bars everyday.
I have got a plan - that's one way to reach your goals right?
So my plan is to exercise at lest 30-40 min. per day for 5 days a week and to choose healthier foods. Limit my cals to under 1500 and up my water consumption (which is barely one 16 oz tumbler nowadays.) I have plenty of things to do as far as exercise goes - so there is really no excuse not to exercise.
We have the cupboard and fridge stocked with lots of healthy goodies - so no reason to falter there. I just have to do it!
I don't know if I will check in here everyday or not, but I will try (it's not like I'm not on the puter everyday anyway.)
So, if I start whining or complaining - just give me a good smack or kick in the butt so that I can wake up and get back to reality. |

Rep Power: 26 | | Yesterday I didn't do formal exercise, but I did watch what I ate and did a lot of gardening (pulling weeds and trimming hedges.)
My food:
coffee w/ lite creamer
Slim-fast protein bar
2 pieces of hard candy (church)
cottage cheese w/ strawberries
a salad made w/ spinach and mustard greens - tomatoes, almond slivers, and that new spray dressing w/ a little cheese
2 organic cookies - blech think next time I'll skip those fo sho!
Homemade tostada - lean beef, enchilada sauce, mustard greens, black olives, jalapeņos, tomato, onions.
Doritos - not the healthiest I know, but I was starving and it was late at night while I was waiting on my peep to show up to watch a meteroid shower.
Water- 2 16oz tumblers
Today my goal is 40 min. workout - I think I'll dust off my pilates video. And keep cals. 1500 or less. |

Rep Power: 26 | | I didn't get to the pilates. I spent a lot of time online this morning trying to schedule a trip.
However, I did get on the treadmill for 30 min. (speed intervals) and did weights for 10 min. plus a stretch and cool down.
I am on track eating wise and need to figure out what's for sup! I have lots of fresh maters from the garden and chicken sounds good too.
I'm actually feeling good about challenging myself to eat right and exercise again. Makes me feel like I have a purpose! |

It's great to see that you have the determination to get-r-done!! And it is obvious that you know exactly what you need to do. So keep, keep, keep the pace!! Your doing great! I think I am gonna have to step it up or else you'll pass me by. And we can't let that happen now can we.......hhmmmm? Oh and if you need someone to kick you in the rear I'll volunteer for that job!!!

PS: Sorry again for standing you up for the meteor show.

Thanks! I'm not going to by-pass you, I'm sure of it. Most of what I lost right now was vacation stuff. So, now it's going to be a slow process.
It makes it so much easier to have a dedicated friend near by.
Don't worry about the meteor show, I'm over it. LOL |

Rep Power: 26 | | | Official day 4 of getting back on track:
Yesterday's meals:
coffee w/ creamer
protein bar
strawberries w/ cottage cheese
carrots w/ dip
string cheese
granola bar
chicken stir fry - made with mustard greens, peppers, zuchinni, onions, and garlic
strawberry yogurt ice cream cone from Schwan's
1/2 bag of microwave popcorn
pistachios
Down another 1/2 lb.
I'm sure it will get slower from here, as some of the weight I've lost so far was vacation weight.
My plan for today is to get on the elliptical for 40 min., drink more water, and eat right.

Rep Power: 26 | | Today I haven't officially exercised yet, but will get to it. I have cleaned for about 2 hrs and did lots of running around.
Last night I walked the dog for 30 min. I was out looking for my MIL's missing pup. She found her almost as soon as we would've had we crested the hill - darn dog walking off like that.
Today I messed up foodwise - but I'm not letting that deter me.
blueberry almond crunch cereal w/ soy milk
coffee w/ creamer
reese pieces - 1 small bag
string cheese
watermelon
fresh garden tomato
protein bar
For dinner I'm planning chicken w/ pasta.
And no snack tonight since I ate the reeses. |

Rep Power: 26 | | | I'm not going to even list all that I ate yesterday, but let's just say I visited pizza hut. And I ate at the buffet. Ugh! The good news is that it only set me back 1/2 lb (since yesterday's weigh-in.)
I didn't even exercise - well putt-putt golfing, but we know how little exercise that is. LOL
Today's plan is to finish painting my shed. I think that will be it for the exercise - unless I get spunky!
I am going to drink more water as well, it's still at 2 16 oz glasses, which is not nearly enough. |

Rep Power: 10 | | Hey there, keep it up. The first couple weeks is the hardest but then it becomes routine. No more Pizza hut and you will be on your way to whatever goals you have in mind |

Yeah 2 16 oz water is not nearly enough. I usually try to drink 80 oz, and reach 100 oz on the days of heavy exercise.
I have a treadmill also and I am loving it. How fast do you go on the treadmill?
I found the first 3 weeks of starting to be the hardest. I had to mentally prepare myself every day for not eating junk food and put my exercise in. After that it got so much easier.
Your starting weight is pretty much the starting weight I had when I seriously started concentrating on my weight loss in May. And our goal weights are similar too.!!
Looking forward to your progress!!
Keep on track, no more pizza for a while!!
Have a great day!!

I know that you can get back on track. You have more determination than anyone I know. Fill up a water bottle or something and take it everywhere you go. That way you can take swig now and then and drink it down without ever noticing that you did. Especially if your going to be outside working.
Have fun painting the shed!!!

Hajni | Hi Hajni,
As far as the treadmill I usually go anywhere from 3.5 to 3.8 mph. I'm not a runner, but I have gone all the way up to 6.0 for a min. then back down. I just can't stand running on the thing. Of course that was in my "better" days. I suppose one day I can get back up there again. It just felt like I was "killing" myself when I was pushing so hard. |

Bellaryna | The shed is done for now - except for the stars - but I might just skip them too.
I used to drink a lot of water, it's just that I don't have the mind set to do so right now. Ugh! Anyway, I will keep it in mind.
And actually you have more determination that anyone I know!!! |

Rep Power: 26 | | To be totally honest with myself, the pizza was only the first step this weekend so it seems. Well actually I didn't do too bad. But Sat. I didn't count cals, and I know I went over. No formal exercise, just painting the shed.
Yesterday was definitely a blow-it day. We had lunch at a chinese restaurant. Not a buffet though. So I did limit myself and kept half for later. I still have the half in the fridge. I don't know that I'm even going to eat it.
Then we went to a church gathering, due to the rain there were only 4 families that came. They had some good food, and I probably wouldn't have done so bad, if I would've stayed away from the brownies and the cookies. I had two of each - and the cookies were oatmeal raisin, which I don't usually care for. But these were really good!
I weighed in this morning and am up a pound, which I knew I would be.
Today I will go down and get on the elliptical and eat well.
I will try to get in more water as well. |

I know how hard it is to NOT eat when your at some kind of a gathering.
We went to the luncheon after church and had the chicken and noodles.
I just totally loaded up on the green beans first. And then probably only had 1/2-3/4 cup of the chicken noodles. Even though I sooooooo badly wanted more I did not go back to the serving line. I did get a second roll however.
Unfortunately I did eat a brownie but just one. Normally I would of had one of those, one of that, and oohh that looks good so I'll get some of that too. The only reason I even had the browine is that T changed his mind after he saw that someone had a cupcake.
You'll get back into the groove.
Just keep the pace! Your doing great!!!!!!
Besides if your even getting on your elliptical than your ahead of me. All I can do is walk over to it and not talk myself in to getting on.
