Rep Power: 0 | | Nice job Brandy! I would try to eat a little more protein, though. Looks like your eating is pretty high carb. You need that protein for energy and muscle retention. |

Rep Power: 59 | | I"m not in the best of moods today. I went on the scale this morning and I am up like 3 lbs. I don't know why. Yesterday I ate perfect, and my weight was normal in the morning. So... I'm not super happy. I hope I can get rid of it again by my Friday's weigh in day. I posted in the Advanced WeightLoss part of the forum, and I guess I need a lot more calories than I am eating. I am having trouble with that. Not to mention I have been really dizzy lately. So I am upping my calories to no higher then 1700 hopefully. I had a Bacon and Cheese sandwich for breakfast because I REALLY need to get more protein I think. And then for lunch I had a hotdog. For dinner I am going to eat ziti and marinara.
I worked today, so I have been on my feet for a while. I am going to change my pants( because I have cake batter from work all over them.), and then I am going to go on a walk with my ipod.
I need to lose the 3 lbs I gained. I'm upset because it took a long time to work off, and only 1 day to put back on. |

Rep Power: 30 | | No way you added 3 lbs over night. Thats a TON of calories. I'm sure its water weight (lot of sodium?) or maybe you might be a touch stopped up at the moment. Try not to let it get to you. You WILL lose it.
Hope you have a blast on the walk & the fresh air cheers you up. You sound like you smell delicious with the cake batter! |

Maybe stopped up though. My boyfriend doesn't like that I smell A LOT like cake when I come home from work. But Its aggravating to make such a mess of my clothes. i hope the fresh air cheers me up...but its really cold out. So I hope my mood doesn't get worse!!! |

Rep Power: 43 | | As MoonGoddess said, there's no way you actually gained 3 lbs. As well as the possibilities of water retention and constipation, from memory you have scales that fluctuate in what they say you weigh - ie they actually give you a weight that is only approximately right and the number they show can vary even when your weight hasn't.
It really is frustrating to see apparent movements in the scales like that though. I hate it when it happens.
Great move on upping your calories and getting more protein. |

Rep Power: 23 | | Hey Brandy! Keep your chin up. You have gotten good advice and hopefully that helps! You may even want to consider talking with your doctor as well. If you might have something that would make it hard to lose weigh then you need to be aware of it! For now don't give up! What you are doing is good even if the weight is frusturating right now. Eventually you will get there. Just have to snoop around and figure out what's going on. I remember you losing weight before. I know it can be done. You just have to find the right balance for your body and if there is something medical going on once you figure it out you can figure out how to move past it!! You will do well just stay strong through the hard times! We are here with you |

Rep Power: 17 | | Hey, first of all I'd like to say thanks for stopping by my diary! I finally found yours, lol.
About the whole 3 pounds thing, who knows what it is, but it definately could be water. If your sodium is high another you can do besides cutting back is drinking more water. If you drink a lot of water your body won't need to retain it. Plus it helps flush things out, you can't go wrong!
The only thing I know, is that when I get upset about weight gain or eating back or slacking in exercise... is that you cannot give up. When I give up, I give up for months! So I know for myself that if I have a bad weigh-in or have a horrible high calorie (tasty, lol) meal, that I just have to get right back on track so that I don't go back into my old horrible quiting and feeling sorry for myself habit.
So the best advise that I can give: keep eating well, keep exercising, drink enough water and never give up |

Don't let such things get to you. It happens. Two weeks ago I gained 1.5 lbs and stayed that way for almost a week. Then all of a sudden I dropped them and some more.Don't worry, if you're eating right and excersising you'll eventually lose the weight.
Smile!!!
Hugs

Rep Power: 59 | | Thank you all for stopping by. Your advice has helped me so much... you really have no idea. I was so sad that day. I ended up losing 4 lbs within the last 2 days just from upping my calories and eating more protein. So thats 1 lb down for the week. But I am absolutely proud of myself. I have an exercise book with REALLY fun exercises in it that totally kick but.
Valentine's day was amazing. I am going to post pictures of the stuff Dan got me. BEAUTIFUL roses (red and lavender roses), a GORGEOUS necklace, teddy bear, and chocolate. YUM. I just had a little bit of it.
So everything is great again. HAPPY HAPPY.
I just have to keep up my calories, and not feel bad eating more often. Or having bigger meals. I mean- all the foods I decide to eat are really low in calories... and I wasn't eating a lot. But that is changing now.
I went and got myself a haircut today and died my hair a little redder. My hair is naturally brown, and I died it auburn. So its not too much of a difference. But I am pleased with it. I feel like a princess today- and I have an awesome boyfriend who made me feel so special on my valentine's day.
Happy Valentine's Day everyone! |

Rep Power: 43 | | Yeah! Scales can be a very vague way to tell what is going on - congrats on ending up with what you wanted out of them though!
How lovely that Dan was able to make you feel so special - just as you are!! |

Rep Power: 59 | | Thank you for stopping by everyone. I wish I remembered everything I wanted to update on, but I don't.
My weight is going down as I eat more calories. I'm eating about 1700 a day.
I'm going to be starting the couch to 5K running plan soon I think. Well... lets say I'm going to try it out, because I'm so out of shape that I don't even know if I can run for 60 seconds to start with.
Today's exercises:
TRY: Week 1 of the Couch to 5K running plan.
Monday Workout in my book: The Super Model Lower Body Conditioner (55 minutes)
The Early Morning Workout from my book as well.
And Thats going to be it for the day. It will probably be like 2 hours of exercise today alone.
11900 calories for the week: So far this week of 4 days: 6529 Calories left for the week: 5371 or 1790 calories a day. Eeek. Thats a little bit high. But I'll make it full of protein. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
