I'm stuck on a plateau. I've been 105.6 for 3 days in a row. So I'm going to kick it up a notch. I'm going to be SUPER healthy, and also exercise a lot.
Breakfast: 1 yogurt (100 calories)
Lunch: 1 cheeseburger. (lunch at Nana's house before the party)
Snack: granola bar (90 calories)
dinner: Not quite sure.
Exercise: 30 minutes playing DDR
Water: MUST DRINK 102 oz. Thats about 6-7 Waterbottles!!
Yay for the challenge starting! |

Rep Power: 55 | | Mishi- ahhaa. I meant 205. 6, but yeah 105.6 would be GREAT to be stuck at.
Yesterday went well for my first day of the challenge, but again... no weight loss yet. Its a little after 2pm right now, and I have until 5pm to get ready for work.
Breakfast- 11:30am- grilled cheese sandwich on wheat bread with 2 THIN slices of honey ham, and a little bit of a sliced up tomato. Bread was 120 cal, cheese was 120 calories...and i don't know the rest. But it was all less then 400 i think.
Lunch: 3:00 pm- 100 calorie Strawberry Yogurt and a 90 calorie Chocolate chip granola bar.
Dinner: Break time- 60 calories of Mini Caramel Rice Cakes, and a 90 calorie chocolate Chip granola bar.
Exercise: 30 mins of DDR.
Water: 102 oz. (6 water bottles) I've only drinken 1.5 right now, so i have quite a bit left to drink. No big deal. I have plenty of time today.
Well, since I really only have 2 hours left before I have to leave for work, i'm going to play DDR, and then whatever else.
Also, I think my calories are REALLY low for today. But its also plenty of food for me, especially that I am drinking soooo much water that is making me really full.
STILL at 205.6 today!!!!! I need to lose 2 lbs in the next 5 days. I'll just kick my butt into gear. |

Rep Power: 89 | | Nice job Brandy! I would try to eat a little more protein, though. Looks like your eating is pretty high carb. You need that protein for energy and muscle retention. |

Rep Power: 23 | | Hi Brandy! lol wouldn't it be great to say "God I keep eating cheeseburgers and ice cream and I am still stuck at 105.6!" ha ha. We wish!
I am worried a bit about your calories. You are so busy and if you eat like that you aren't going to have energy and you are going to feel bad!! Even just adding a salad! Most of the stuff you are eating is processed. Maybe you can try to get some fresh veggies to carry along with you and snack on? 800 calories was my count and that is too low. If you want to be successful for the long term and get healthy you will need to eat a healthy amount!! At least 1200 calories. Think of how much more you could eat in a day!! I know not all your days are low like this either.... just worry Can you tell I am the worrying type In fact my friend's aquintance called me "mother hen". Maybe that should be my new name lol Hope you have a good day! |

Rep Power: 55 | | I have done my exercise. 35 mins of cardio. I am going to change up my meal plan for today a little bit.
same breakfast and lunch..(because its already been eaten.)
But...
Before I go to work I am going to eat a piece of fruit. (a pluot)
And on my break (aka dinner) I am going to bring celery, carrots and a little bit of dressing. NO caramel rice cakes or another granola bar. I took Bikinibound and Mishi's great advice, and maybe I should eat some more NATURAL foods.
I'm only up to 2 water bottles still. I'm working on my 3rd.
Well, I really need to get ready for work. |

Rep Power: 55 | | OH.. and I need to ask.
I am eating to me what seems like plenty of food. It fills me up, and I eat whenever I am hungry. (it's not like I could ever starve myself) If I am eating a lot of very low calorie foods... is it really that bad?
p.s.... I might also add another 100 calories of Cheezits that I've been craving. I thought it would be ok as long as i ate the fruit and veggies.

Rep Power: 23 | | I have been reading around here for awhile and my understanding is that your body needs a certain amount of calories to function. I am surprised you feel so satisfied with that amount of food! I wouldn't but I know we are all different.
From what I see the only thing with the new plan for today that is missing is a meat selection. Chicken is my personal favorite.
If you don't get the right balance of foods in you won't have vitamens and energy for your body to do well and it will hang on to that weight to keep it from starving.- this is my opinion but it's what I have believed.
It's not only calories but what those calories are. You need a good balanced mix of protein, complex carbs (like wheat bread/pasta), and fruits and veggies... You can't get the nutrition you need with only 800 cals. Unless your eating super foods j/k. This is a part I am having a hard time with myself but I try to have a balanced meal at least once a day.. usually dinner for me, and the rest of the day I break meals up into mini-meals. 1tbsp of peanut butter and an apple is my favorite so far Steve knows a lot about this. He should slide by and put in his 2 cents
I hope this helps Also if you are baby planning you need to make sure you are taking vitamens. Especially folic acid. If you aren't you might want to look into those |

Rep Power: 55 | | | Mishi- you are such a big help. I love all of your advice. And after I read it, I went and ate 4 steak tips. Just to make sure I was adding some protein.
Tomorrow I am able to plan every single one of my foods. I am going to work at 5:00 am, and afterwards i am going to my mom's house for the day. I am going to pack a lunch for myself because I want to make sure its healthy. And dinner I will eat at my mom's what she is going to make, because She always makes balanced meals.
So here it is:
Breakfast: Bottle of water, yogurt (100),
Snack: Caramel Rice cakes (60), bottle of water
Lunch: 6 steak tips(?), Green beans (?) bottle of water
Snack: Cheezits(100), Granola Bar (90)bottle of water
Dinner: Not sure yet. bottle of water.
Exercise: 30 minutes of DDr when I get home.
That will get me my exercise for the day, the right amount of water, Healthy foods ( I think its what i need.. protein, vegetables, fruit), and I'll still be able to stay within my calorie limits. Tomorrow is going to be a really great day.
Does all of that look good?
Babies.... I want a baby. But Dan doesn't have a job yet, and i don't think I'm going to plan on it until i'm sure he has a decent job. I just can't plan ahead if nothing is in place yet. And I also want to plan for an apartment first. So I AM going to have a baby with Dan, but I am going to MAYBE put it off a bit longer (the planning for one that is) |

Congrats on your weight loss so far! I wanted to say hello and make sure you didn't think I backed out of the Halloween Challenge since I've been AWOL for a few days. This has been an insane weekend for me so this is a one-time copy/paste to all of our teammates. I'll get back to original posts after everyone leaves. I was in a car accident Friday evening. I'm a little sore but fine. My car will need some work, though. I spent most of Saturday getting estimates, grocery shopping and cooking for a group of friends who arrived Saturday evening from the east coast. I went for a long 1-1/2 hour bike ride yesterday morning before everyone got up, and had planned to post here after that, but they were awake when I got back.
I have some self control issues and then me-bashing issues, so I decided on some sneaky meal plans for my friends. They're in my diary so I won't rewrite here, but I'm very proud of myself !
Looking forward to 'losing' with you in the Halloween Challenge! |

Rep Power: 23 | | Food sounds much better! I don't know if you are keeping track in a place like fitday or sparkpeople but they will help you figure out your vitamen's and everything else for that matter It is so hard getting the balance but I am sure we will both get it down eventually.
About the baby thing I am going to continue to caution you!! I rememeber being in your shoes when I was your age but I wasn't in a commited relationship so it wasn't as much as a pressure. You really want to be in a stable place. I am a single mom right now and I know Dan is there with you but even with my fiancee it is so tough. Like last week he was sick and I really can't miss work but I had too. I am very lucky to be in a job that gives me time with him and also pays me a salary so I don't have to worry about work coming before him... because it just can't. NOTHING comes before him. Daycare is also pricey. I know you have family around but if you have to do daycare it can be as much as a second rent!! I payed $105 a week! Just giving you the reality so you can know what your getting into. Hope you have a great labor day!! Sorry you had to work at 5am!! take care! |

Rep Power: 55 | | Thank you 2B135Again for stopping by. I think you'll do great on this diet. And its ok that you were a little late. Everyone has things come up. Glad youre ok after ur crash.
Mishi- I think I will make a fitday account. Good idea. And the baby... I'm not planning to have one anymore until a lot more things have stabled out. Whenever that might be.
Well, yesterday was a good day, but not the best of them food wise. I have to go to my first day of school soon, so I won't write about them.
But yesterday I was in tears because I gained 1.1 lbs from drinking all that water. BUT... today i lost 2.2. So I'm down 1.1 lb in the end!!
I'll write later. |

Rep Power: 30 | | I feel you on the pain of seeing the scale go up just when you think you are doing all the right things. Have you tried listing your weight on a chart (I use the Google 15 thing & also list the weights everyday here under another thread). Helps me to see the over all picture rather than compare each day. No one will lose EVERY day. I like being able to look back & see that although I am up some from yesterday, I am down a few from the previous weeks.
Good luck with school starting!
Remember to find a way to take some water with you. Guzzle, guzzle, guzzle. Our bodies will get used to it & not hold on to everything we drink.
