I have added to my VitaBella site. I have added a section of recipes that I've made in class, and a section for my arts and crafts. I only have 1 recipe up right now, but I will do more... and some will be very healthy. I need to figure out a way to set up a list, so people don't have to scroll to find things. But check it out... I added attachments of 4 things. 2 are the Halloween purse I made, and the other 2 are the dishes I made in class on thursday! I didn't eat any, but they are all fun to cook. We cook for a dining room of 65 people or more every week. GOOD learning experience! lol. I love the culinary arts.

lol. Everything smells so effin good in that class. Its overwhelming smelling all these delicious foods that we make. But at the end of the day, I usually start our clean up, and never get around to eating. lol.

Your purses look cool and your food yummy. I have a friend here who makes purses/bags, wallets out of used clothes. She's also been making them from laminated comics pages. She's also a scrapbooker who makes really cool scrapbooks. Here's her website: cheeky green designs

She's doing pretty well at selling things. Are you looking to supplement your income with your bags? That would be cool.

with so much going on in my life it's so hard to concentrate on exercise and dieting. So every night I will make a list of foods I will eat, exercise I will do, and things that need to get done. I think this method will let me tailor my food and exercise to what I have to do that day. We'll see how it goes!

Wow Brandy I am impressed with the bag. It is so cute! I have been thinking of doing stuff like that too. There was a lady on my myspace who made cute purses and aprons and she closed her business. They were so cute and it looks so fun! I am uber impressed. Also impressed with your culinary skill. Did I tell you I burned some artichokes?? It's basically a matter of boiling water and I messed it up lol. but I made some darn good chicken soup lol
I hope you have a great weekend. Being busy is nice because it can keep you from mindlessly eating but it can also hamper exercise and good nutrition. Sounds like a good plan. I hope you have a very good weekend!

thanks michelle. I will have to mail you some good recipes that you might like. I really live culinary arts, and it's something I'm really good at. It's just hard to stay away from it afterwards! LOL. Actually at home the meals I eat are very simple. I love grilled cheese! LOL. But when I have to cook for someone else I feel the need to go all out! Haha. And on a complete other side of me, I love to sew. I'm not amazing, but I have a lot of fun, and I'm learning. I hope to sell them some day. I'm hoping it will take my mind off of comfort eating!

Hey you seem pretty good to me. The only really successful thing I have sewn is drapes for my son's room. They were really nice but they were essentially squares lol. You talk a lot about not being able to touch the food you cook when you get all "chef" with it. I am assuming because it's seen as unhealthy? The only reason I mention it is because on BL (of course I am hooked on the show as always) they have that chef guy... crap can't remember his name right this second and he shows them how to make healthy and fabulous meals. Maybe you could trend towards the healthy side in your training so when you go out into the world you can have "Brandy's Healthy Bistro" lol or something like that... with a little hand made purse gift shop in the lobby lol

I feel like today has barely begun, but it is already past 4pm!! I will probably be up all night, so maybe this is just the beginning! lol. Most days I make a list for myself of things that I need to get accomplished. If I don't... I usually spend my day watching movies, tv, or pretty much getting NOTHING of importance done. Today's list is especially long, seeing as there is so much cleaning and homework for me to do. It is so long, that I was getting overwhelmed just looking at the list. So do you know what I did, me...with my compulsive organizing... I took out 4 highlighters, and color-coded them in order of importance. Yellow, Orange, Pink, and Blue. lol. Well, its working I suppose, so I'm glad I did it. I have also been making another list, where I set meals for myself for the day... and I give myself flexibility. Its just so I don't mosey around the kitchen looking for junk. I stick to my meal ideas. Breakfast this morning was a cinnamon raisin bagel with a glass of 2% milk. I know bagels aren't the best food to keep you healthy, but it will hold me over for quite a while, and it curves by cravings for sweets. YUMM. I scheduled lunch for myself as being a salad and half of a sandwich. Well instead, I had a salad with a little bit of chicken on top. HEALTHIER! I was happy. I have no idea whats going on for dinner yet..... but I will keep it healthy. I'm on a roll today. I have made a pact with myself to eat as healthy as I can, and exercise daily for 1 month. I want to force myself to do my best.. and see where it gets me. I seem to be floating by on "decent" lately. I don't try too hard, but I avoid the major "no-no's". I want to see how I feel, and how much I weigh on October 28th... and see if it has gotten me somewhere. My birthday is on October 13th, and I will allow myself to eat "decently" on that day, and the only exercise I will probably do is a walk. I hope I can keep myself on track for 1 month... and after that month, I will get myself some sort of prize if I have completed it with excellence.

Well, I am in the middle of my nutrition project, and I needed a break. I was thinking too much about all the above topics that I couldn't concentrate. So I took a break for this. My nutrition project is about analyzing the affects of food processing... which it turns out that some food processing makes the food healthier! (well, in dairy products. ) Well, better get back to it!

WOW. My homework is FINALLY FINISHED. I am kind of tired, but I will be getting to some exercise within the next 2 hours. I want to finish watching a TV show online that I started much earlier today, and I want to get some cleaning done. LOTS of cleaning is needed in this room!!!!

I've finished with the most of my food today...Day 1 of my pact.

Breakfast: Cinnoman Raisin bagel with minimal butter, 1 cup of milk
Lunch: 1.5 cups of salad (lettuce and mixed veggies), 2 oz of chicken, and 3 tbsp ranch dressing
Snack: 20 green grapes
Dinner: Chicken and Rice...I don't remember portion sizes... not too much though. and I think the rice was more peas then it was rice. lol. LOTS of veggies.

And I might have another snack later, which is going to be more grapes.
