Rep Power: 20 | | | Day 8(week 2, day 1) Sunday, was an -out-of-the- ordinary day. We had a party for my sister who is going to Spain for 9 months taking a teaching job. Knowing that the menu was not going to be predictable, I had a light breakfast, and started my water early. Altho the food selection was not optimal, I tried my best, limiting my portions and only filling my plate once. I did allow myself a piece of cake as well. The time of the meal was not great either, late lunch/early dinner, so I was not really hungry when we got home.
I did get in my exercise and water tho, WOO HOo!
Breakfast-ww yogurt
Lunch/Dinner party-small portions pretzels, ziti, salad, potatoes, 2 small meatballs, piece of cake

Rep Power: 20 | | | Day 9(week2, day 2) Everyone is home today. Went to church for a Labor Day service. A pretty relaxed day, had the inlaws over for a cook out. Normally Monday is a Nordik Track day, but as it was a holiday and my schedule was off, I didn't get on it. I did however, take a walk later in the evening, knowing I HAD to exercise!
breakfast- raisin bran, 1% milk
cook out - lean burger, lite roll, chicken leg, 1 ear of corn, garden salad
snack - peach, popcorn

Rep Power: 20 | | | Day 10 (week 2, day 3) Today I feelt good, but not as "excited" as I have been. My hubby was home wiht me and I could feel the old habits TRYING to persuade me to give in. I ate more lunch than I have been, but not out of my points range. My husbands eating habits are not good at all. I think he eats about of habit, not out of hunger. He doesnt eat terrible things, but the portions are WAY out of whack, and I dont know how to approach him about it. His dad has Diabetes and I dont want him to be in that situation, but he is of the mindsiet he wil get it no matter, so he may as well enjoy himself. He's a big guy, over 6ft, but he has got to be close to 250lbs. Anyway, enought about him . . its about ME here! lol
I did get exercize in walking 2x up to school and back, and as mentioned before, stayed within my points range. Also, got all my water in!
breakfast- bowl of cheerios and 1% milk
snack- low-fat granola bar
lunch- lite hot dog on lite roll, 2 ears of corn, left over potatoe "pie"
snack- rice cake, bran crackers
dinner- 2 chix legs (no skin), broccoli, garden salad
snack- popcorn

Rep Power: 26 | | Old habits die hard as the saying goes. I eat out of habit sometimes too. I'm trying to eat only when I feel hungry (listening more to my body.) And stopping when I'm full.
Of course that doesn't always work, like today I could've been satisfied with half of the panini, but decided since I didn't have a huge breakfast, I would eat the whole thing (and I didn't want to be famished while painting.)
But at least I was "thinking" it. Now just to do it.
My hubby eats pretty well now, but I remember the days when he didn't - it was sooooo hard to stay on track. |

Rep Power: 20 | | | Day 11(week 2, day 4) Another on track day . Got up and hopped on the Nordik Trak for 30 min. This was my first day at work since the water challenge and I had to get out a resealable pitcher to bring with me in addition to my regular water bottle (I like to fill it with my filtered water). I only had one cup of coffee as I wanted to get started on the water early, and I actually finished all 88oz by 5pm! I ate pretty well, staying in the points range, allowing myself a tiny piece of coffee cake at lunch time that someone in the office had made.
Breakfast - 1% milk, lite english muffin with p.b.
Lunch - WW potates, slice of zucchini pie
snack - small piece coffee cake
Dinner - lean beef, baked potatoe with reduced fat sour cream, grilled veggies
snack - glass of chocolate milk

Rep Power: 11 | | | Great job on your excercising and eating. Your really focused and you will be rewarded with more weight-loss when you continue this road! My dh eats alot and he is always talking about his weight how he wants to lose but he does absolutely nothing to help it!
Keep up the good Job! |

Rep Power: 20 | | | Day 12 (week2, day 5) First thing again today, I got on the Nordik TraK. Thursday is not my usual day for NT, but figured I could use the more rigorous exercise having had 2 non typical eating days this week. Thursday is cleaning day, so not really looking forward to that, but otherwise pretty motivated. I'm looking forward to going away for the weekend with my sister and I'm not really worried about the food cause she is a good eater and we wont be tempted by TOO much . Because I will be out of town for a few days, I will bring along my diary notebook that I have been keeping as well and have to post when I get back, on here.
breakfast - 1% milk, mini whole wheat bagel w/ pb
snack - low fat granola bar
lunch - turkey & cheese on whole wheat, ww yogurt
snack - no fat gelati, 94% ff popcorn
dinner - garden salad, light dressing, light cheese
snack - popcorn (air popped)
(also, drank all 880z of water- as I have all week)

Rep Power: 20 | | | Day 13 & 14 (Week 2, day 6 & 7) This weekend,(fri-sun) I went on a girls get away weekend with my sister-in-law to the beach. It was great fun, and I did very well with the diet and exercise, altho SUnday when I got home, I made some less-than-optimal diet choices, but I have the extra "points" and I'm told I'm not to feel guilty about having to use them, but old habits die hard and I do feel a litte bad about having eaten what I did. As I hope I have mentioned before, I am doing Weightwatchers program from home, and have a certain amount of points to eat daily, and a bonus 35 "extra" points for the week.
All in all, it was a great time, but I must say it was a bit of a downer when we went shopping for clothes. She was trying on clothes and looking fantastic, even the clerks were commenting on her hour glass figure. I would try on my size 14 clothes, and they were either too big, or too tight, or too frumpy. She ended up buying a few tops, and a killer pair of jeans . . me, i bought two 38DDD bras (the cup size is so hard to find), which werent the sexiest style of bra of course, and one pair of jeans that I bought mostly because they were 30% and they were "ok".
On a positive note, I think I did pretty well with my eating choices, and I drank my water and also got my exercise in 2 of the 3 days. I also am using my disappointment from shopping to be motivation- that when next we go shopping in the future, I will also be happy and excited to try on nice fitting clothes that make me feel good about myself.
Friday:
Breakfast-1% milk, mini what bagle with cr. cheese
Lunch/snack - banana, rice cake (driving in the car)
Dinner - 5 grilled shrimp, broccoli, salad
Desert - small slice of cheese cake, with a small piece of chocolate bar

Don't fret you will be getting some sexy clothes soon. BTW, they do have some nice stuff in size 14 - don't fret! You just have to keep looking.
This reminds me of the time I went shopping with my younger sis after she had graduated from high school. At the time I was over 200 lbs. Her and I and her cousin went shopping - they were like in size 6 - me, I was in 20! I was so disgusted with myself.
Size 14 is average nowadays - so I wouldn't get too discouraged.
It sounds like you had a great time!! |

Rep Power: 20 | | | Day 15 (Week 3,day 1) Today was the end of the girls weekend. I ate a healthy breakfast, then headed to church. Including the side trip to check out a cute, quaint town, it was a 4 hour trip and we didnt want to get caught in traffic, so we never stopped for lunch. I had a rice cake and later, a low fat granola bar in the car. When I finally made it home I was still hungry and grabbed a low fat ice cream treat. Then hubby and I had to pick up the kids and his parents house, and were asked to pick up chicken. I did end up eating one breast, as well as some rice and veggies. I'm still feeling guilty for eating it, but know I really shouldn't because one piece, once in a while is not the end of the world. I will, however commit to working out on the Nordik Trak everyday this week, instead of just M-W-F.
Breakfast - milk, plain bagel w/ little cream cheese, yogurt
Snack - rice cake, LF granola bar, low fat ice cream treat
Dinner - Popeye's chicken breast, cajun rice, broccoli, 2 ears of corn
Dessert - gummi worms

I know all about the clothes shopping experience. Somehow the cute outfits I find are not made for the size I am in. But those days will be over soon!! For both of us!!
I see you upping the exercise!! Good for you girl!! For me, no exercise = no loss, no matter how much I try to limit my food intake. I think my body is just used to eating not much and it does not make a difference!!
Keep on going fellow Casper, you can do this!!

Rep Power: 11 | | POPEYES What I would do for some of their fries-LOL I would not even think about the chicken you ate it long and gone and atleast you only had 1 piece!
Adding more excercise will definitely help you get to your goal sooner! Some months ago I refused to go shopping when I started fitting into 14 I still was not happy but their was a variety of clothing out there-unfortunately they didnt fit me correctly always too big in the waist. When lost some more and fit into 12s that when the fun started now I am in 10s and even fit my old 8s so with determiniation cuter clothing is within your reach! | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
