Great job on the resistance training! Go girl!! And great job staying away from the ice cream. I recommend the Smart Ones Cookie Dough Sundae. It's so good!!
On the upside, I have a customer who comes in once a month to buy protein for her son, and she came in today and said, "Are you losing weight? You look good!" Holy crap. I coulda cried... SOOO that pretty much made my day
Woo woo! Oh yeah! Can't wait for that day! CONGRATS!
Lucky you got a weight loss comment from a customer! I always love it when someone else can notice.
I swear, no one has said anything to me about it, except for my sister and best friend. I've lost almost 20lbs in 11 weeks, and no one has said a thing!!! ugh.
Well, i'm sure to be getting a comment any day. lol At least I hope. It always gives me a little more motivation to keep me going.
I hope you are having a good weekend filled with guilt free meals. hehe
Uggg. Friday, went out with a friend to a pool hall, had a good time... Drank wayyy to much. It was an ugly sight. Bleh. It didn't help that after the bar closed we went to an after party with the bouncer and one of the bartenders wow. More beer, more ugly, lol. So Saturday I pretty much stayed in bed till about an hour before I had to get to work, didn't even eat till bout 10pm, so yeah, the beer and the not eating I'm sure killed my hard work for the week.
Got my bridesmaid dress in the mail Friday- its actually really cute, and super comfy, so thats nice. Its sleevelss, which really bothers me, but I've still got another 20 days of workouts before I even leave for Iowa. And, even I can't deny that my arms look sooo much better that I've got a lot less to worry bout. And I've been tanning- FREAKISHLY scared of getting skin cancer, but hell- tan fat is a lot prettier than white fat!
Just wanted to get on and update bout my weekend- will most definately be on later to add my workout for tonight.
Tonight was legs:
*leg extensions- sets of 20 16 15 14 on 30lbs(usually do about 60lbs, but my knees started to hurt realllllly bad, couldn't lift it up..weird.)
*Laying leg curls- sets of 20 16 14 12 on 50lbs.
*Seated leg press- 4 sets of 20; 2 sets on 95lbs, 2 sets on 155lbs.
*Hip adductors- 4 sets of 20 on 70lbs.
*Hip abductors- 4 sets of 20 on 70lbs.
*Cardio- walked 38minutes on treadmill, 2miles. Couldn't do the running because my knees hurt that bad. What the hell?? I didn't do anything to hurt my knees this weekend, so why are they hurting during some of these workouts??
Well, tomorrow is shoulders and calves... I think I may do the elliptical instead of the treamill tomorrow, we'll see. Anyway, have a good Monday everyone!
Well SOMEONE had a fun weekend! LOL That's weird about the knees. The elliptical might be a good choice for a few days.
Oh hey, as far as the tanning goes. Don't be scared to do it occassionally. First of all, IF you get any strange moles that change is size, color, or consistancy, just get them checked out. Skin cancer is the most curable form of cancer, if you catch it early. Besides, research shows that most cases of melanoma actually come from people who have worked inside their whole lives and rarely tan, not people who are constantly exposed to sun. It DOES however cause premature aging. :/ NOW, I DID NOT post this for everyone to turn Jess' Diary into a "skin cancer/to tan or not to tan" debate lol... just wanted to let you know what I have learned over the years so that you don't have to be afraid to tan occassionally for a special event.
Anyway, I'll check back in on ya tomorrow! Hope you have a great day!

Thanks for the info, I've been definately keeping an eye out.
Well tonights workout was shoulders, I don't feel like typing it all out, so I'll just say- I DID ALOT. lol. Walked 40min and 2miles on the treadmill again... Its weird- I used to hate the treadmill, but lately its been one of my favorites. Interesting...
This is a short post, but one of my favorite ones to make: I weighed myself today, three pounds down!! Yayyyy! So I'm at 16lbs total in 4.5 weeks, which sounds like crap until you break it down. I'd like to lose at least another 8lbs in the next month.. I hope I'm not stretching unrealistically there, though.
Sooo food was not super fantastic today:
Breakfast- a bowl of Fiber 1 raisin bran with half cup skim milk
Lunch- Ostrim protein jerky stick and Oh Yeah wafer bar
Supper- a Lean Cuisine, but was at a friends house, where she made nachos, which I DID NOT have a plate of, but did have a few chips and cheese
Went to my sisters house after that and we made smoothies- It wasn't bad, apple juice, strawberries, bananas and mangos. Some crazy recipe that she found. BUT while I was there, my other sister showed up and had made peanut butter pie I have fairly decent will power as of late, but not to the peanut butter pie. *sigh* so I had a piece. Veggies all day tomorrow for me, lol!
Tonights workout was on my back. Then cardio on the treadmill again. Was gonna jump on the stairmill, couldn't make myself do it mostly cuz I know it will kill my knees...but one of these days FOR SURE.
Dang, looks like you have pretty awesome motivation. Congrats on all the exercise you are doing, keep it up! Tan fat IS so much pretty than pure whiteness, you got that right!
Hey Jess. You are doing such a great job on the workouts. Glad the dress fits nicely! That is always a relief. I remember the last one I wore, I was literally squeezing into it the week before the wedding and had to crash diet. No fun. As soon as I started eating at the wedding, I thought I was going to rip out of it like the incredible hulk.
Keep up the good work, you have time left to rock it girl. whooo hooo!!

Hahaha! Yeah, I lucked out a bit with this dress. Only problem other than sleeveless that I have with it- I can see my fat roll thru it so I went and decided to try on one of those suck-em-up slimmer thingys, HA! Oh how embarrassing- it took me FOREVER to get it on, and then, as SOON as I stood up straight, it went bbblliiiip! and rolled up on itself... wow. thats all I can say....wow.
Food today:
Fiber one with half cup skim milk- 210
Whole wheat english muffin with a little spray butta- 140
Ostrim jerky- 80
Oh yeah bar- 210
Brown rice with one slice of pepperjack cheese- 410
pack of tuna- 90
and just cuz I was hungry, a bowl of cereal with skim milk- 210.
I'm a little low on cals today, but when I'm done at the gym tonight I'll have a protein shake or some turkey or something.
Crazy random last minute thought: My younger sister told me tonight that she thinks shes going to do the bariatric surgery. WHAT!! It made me soooo mad, I know that sounds aweful, but she goes, "I just can't do it by myself." But she hasn't tried! Since I work at the gym she has a free membership that in 2 years, shes used once. I realize that everyone has to want to do it, and they have to put in the hard work it takes, but it makes me sooo mad that some people(like my sister) won't even TRY! She did weight watchers for like three weeks, and then quit because she "was just to busy with school and work". Grrrr. I've offered her a bunch of protein shakes, and she says, nope, those are gross. Does she realize that shes gonna be drinkin lots of protein if she does the bariatric surgery?? I weigh a lot. She weighs a lot more than me. But something has to be said for trying, and if someone doesn't try, an honest to god give it a while try, how does that person justify that as being enuf?

LMAO! OMG, I know what you are talking about. I tried to wear a slimmer at the last wedding I was at, and the top rolled down and it made this ugly deformed looking roll in the middle of my belly where it was wedged between the fat. I tried to cover it with my purse until I could run to the restroom, but OMG am I still horrified to this day that I am in a wedding photo with my belly roll, enhanced by a slimmer gone horribly wrong.
I did try those spanx and they work a lot better. Much better. I washed it though and it shrunk, had to throw it out.
Too bad about your sister. Maybe she'll see you and realize the progress you are making and see that it's possible. (Okay so that really only happens in fairly tale land, but still. Maybe?)
I agree with what you said in your rant, it's just too bad your sister doesn't get it as well. I'm sure she could do it on her own if she just put the thought power behind it!
