As much as I dislike cutting out my favorite foods and working out, I'd rather still have the control and option to eat more than a thumbs worth of food. Her life is constantly going to revolve around what she's eating and how much to the nth degree. Perhaps she is just talking out loud. She may still come around. It is really tough though, when you are in "that place" of feeling hopeless.
Just keep doing your thing, and perhaps you will inspire her. |

I sure hope so! Really, who doesn't want the easy way out sometimes? But like you said- I like having the option of eating what I want and when I want. I just need to practice willpower. If she had been dieting and working out for six months or so and hadn't lost a pound, then maybe I'd say, yeah, try it. But she hasn't done any of that. Who knows tho. Things could change! |

Rep Power: 25 | | So today my cals were a little low, not terribly, but when I got done at the gym (and I never do this) I had a lite hot pocket-uh, it was in my freezer for a reallllly long time, and I ate it. how gross, huh? lol. And THEN had to english muffins with peanut butter I don't even like peanut butter that much. I hafta reallly crave it to even think of it. So that makes me think my t.o.m. is comin up, cuz all week I really haven't wanted sugar whatsoever, and tonight, as SOON as I get done working out, I have a teensy binge I'm not gonna let it get me down to much, I can most definately make it up tomorrow. Plus, even tho I don't go to the gym on Fridays or Saturdays, I got my treadmill (actually was my sisters, and she never used it- go figure!!) in its own corner tonight, and I'll start using it after work and stuff, just for a little extra. I still can't make myself get up early enuf in the a.m., but one of these days, its a big maybe
Tonights workout was biceps and triceps- dips and curls and pushdowns, oh my! haha. Anyway, after I get done doing these my arms feel freakishly heavy, lol, and I just wanna dangle em. Did a 45 minute walk on the treadmill, 2 miles, I gave myself a little break tonight and walked a bit slower than usual, just as a "last workout of the week" gift. After eating a zillion calories when I got home, I'm thinking that maybe I shoulda just done my normal pace
Oh yeah: My left arm-wing ugly is smaller than my right one... how does that happen?? I'm right handed! You'd think the right one would be smaller.... And also, I tanned today, and burned my butt. Ouch. It sorta sucks right now! |

Rep Power: 14 | | | Hey you got some exercise in, that's a plus for sure! Don't get down because of one little binge. Long term goals.. keep looking ahead instead of at what you just did. Like you said, you can make up for it in the future, so just keep on doing what ya do! |

Rep Power: 37 | | | Great job exercising! My arms and legs are different sizes from one side to the next by 1/4 inch is some places. I took my measurements last month and noticed it in the arms and legs.
I think the only thing that is the same on both sides is my butt. LOL That's a good thing.
Sorry to hear your butt is burned. When that happened to me, it was hot and it itched like crazy the first day or two of the burn. |

Rep Power: 25 | | NOT feeling the gym tonight I willllll go, but it doesn't mean I want to. *sigh* My calories coulda been a lot better over the weekend, but they weren't majorly overboard, either.
Spent a lot of time digging out my "skinny-er" clothes- was fairly happy that I could wear a lot of the them. There were a few things that are gonna need a few more pounds gone, but in the meantime, I'm pretty excited
Will be back later to post my workout, maybe in that time I'll have more to say?? Hm. You'd think that having a whole weekend without posting, there would be a ton to talk about... |

Rep Power: 25 | | Well, I usually go to the gym bout 11:30, and I accidentally fell asleep, woke up at 12:15... so I worked out from 12:30 to 2, I think it was a decent workout for not even wanting to go, lol.
Tonight was legs- did Smith Squats(bleh), laying curls, and extensions. Then did 30minutes and 11 miles on an upright bike, and 20minutes and 1 mile on the treadmill. Holy crap do I sweat when I do the bike!! Holy bejeezus, I swear, if I don't get skinny doing that kinda workout, I'll just be pissed.
It was my favorite kinda night at the gym tho- there was only me, the guy working, and one guy(in fantastic shape, I gotta say, doing some yummy one armed pull-ups.. holy hunnies, nearly fell off my bike watching that shiznit) the whole time I was there. LOOOVEEE THAT. I don't mind a few people, but sometimes its just nice to be it.
So I ordered some cute shoes from Torrid.com the other day for the wedding I gotta be in next month, and I originally liked them cuz they're like flipflops with a heel, but a bit dressier. And, since its a fat girl site, the shoes should be guaranteed to fit a fatty, yeah? NO! They say they fit a wider foot, (which totally sucks for me, cuz my feet are pretty much the only skinny part of my body, they're just uber wide) and they make my feet look like they are spillin over. Bleh. AND they're really hard to walk in and uncomfy. SO I call the bride, tell her how hard it is to find shoes, and she says- jessie- its an outdoor wedding, just get black flipflops. So then I'm excited, cuz I love flipflops! Live in them really- other than work and gym, thats all I wear, even in freezing weather and light snows. (Yeah, people look at me like I'm nuts.) My sister and I go to Famous Footwear today to get some cute black flip flops, and wouldn't ya know it- they only go up to size 10- no ginormous size 11s anywhere. I'm frustrated, about to throw shoes about wildly, and there, in the clearance rack, are the CUTEST heels in size 11 that I have ever seen! I was pretty proud of them So for 22 dollars, I finally found a pair of shoes to fit these big ole feet. And they make my legs look hot, total bonus.
And this is just another exciting thing I hafta throw out there- while I'm in Iowa and Minnesota next month, one of my favorite bands(not real big yet, but they will be) is gonna be at a night club 20miles away. You better friggin believe I'll be there. Psh. Not even a doubt! |

Rep Power: 14 | | | Yay for finding shoes. Famous footwear has good ones a lot. I'm cheap and tend to go for payless, really no matter the occasion! Hehe, glad you found some you like. And yes, the legs looking hot is of course a bonus! |

Rep Power: 25 | | So I was totally craving a cold veggie pizza today, and as soon as I got off work, I went and bought everything I needed to make it... Took me a friggin hour, but I did it, and ohhhh man. Its amazing. MMMMMHMMM.
Tonight was shoulders, which I ALWAYS hate doing, butttt I do them anyway. For cardio, I did 30minutes and 11 miles on the upright bike again, sweat like crazy, and managed to spill bout half my bottle of water down the front of me. The bikes are crazy, cuz its almost like you hate it, but you can't stop.. hm. Then I did 30 minutes and 1.6 miles on the treadmill. All in all, another good workout. Haven't seen the scale budge in a few days, but I'm sure its around the corner
Anywayyyy, out for the night. see ya all tomorrow! |

Rep Power: 11 | | We make our own pizzas and we use tortilla shells as the crust. VERY VERY good! I don't know what the stats are on the pizza crust you use but you may be able to cut out some carbs that way if you are so inclined.
Good job at the gym. I have had a membership since (I shit you not) November and haven't been ONCE. Not one f'n time! I still have my temporary pass. It's almost too embarrassing to go at this point. I know I'm going to need to break it out sooner than later...
Oh, and thanks for the Bobaflex recommendation. I checked out their website and that is right up my alley! I owe ya big time for that one! |

Rep Power: 0 | | Haha, just reading about your flipflop situation. I love flipflops too, it's all I wear unless I HAVE to wear something else. In fact I was a bridesmaid a few years ago and we had to wear flipflops. It was so much fun to not have to worry about uncomfortable shoes or anything. Congrats on finding those high heels. 22 bucks. Not bad.

Oh, and thanks for the Bobaflex recommendation. I checked out their website and that is right up my alley! I owe ya big time for that one! | I used reduced fat crescent roll dough. Pretty tasty, but if ya eat to much of it, well, thats a lotta calories right there... I'll definately hafta try tortilla shells next time.
ANd you are CRAZY! How much are you spending to NOT use a gym pass?? I technically work at the gym(worked there for three years, now I'm a sub) so I get a free membership and can bring in anyone I want for free, so I totally take advantage. Use your pass! It'll only do better things for you |

KEEP IT UP! | Lol! Trust me- there are days when there is noooo way in hell I wanna go to the gym, but as soon as I do, the fantastic endorphins kick in and I'm glad I did. Usually the last day of the week I take a breather at the gym, only do 20 to 30 minutes of cardio instead of 45 to an hour. I have a goal, man. I want to be hot. Pretty superficial reasoning, cuz really, shouldn't I have something better for a goal, like preventing diabetes or lower my risk of cancer and/or heart disease? eh. I want that to, but jeeeez, to wear hot clothing would make all the hard work in the world totally worth it |

Dani | I'm finding that more and more girls feel the same way! I have four pairs of shoes: 1 pair for work, 1 pair of heels that I JUST BOUGHT, and 2 pairs of sneakers. and then I have about thirty pairs of flipflops. Seriously, a different pair for almost every outfit. Can't help it, totally my downfall | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
