Rep Power: 28 | | Ok, so I AM still here this week! Have been really busy working- training two new employees, haven't had a day off in a while, won't get one till Sunday, bleh... But I HAVE been going to the gym, have been trying to eat the right calories- altho I'm not gonna lie, I have pigged out on some chocolate here and there... oops... Gym time:
Sunday: legs, 10min stairs .39miles, 30min treadmill 1.75miles
Monday:shoulders and some legs, stairs 15min .66miles, treadmill 45min 2.53 miles
Tuesday:back, 30min treadmill 1.75miles (my slacker night )
Wednesday: 30min swimming, chest, 15min treadmill .71miles
and tonight: bis n tris, stairs 20min .97miles, tread 15min .87miles, and the precor(stairs n elliptical cross) 10min .70miles.
Decided to step it up a notch tonight- did 20 on the stairs which was hard as HELL, and I was a giant sweat blob, but I did it. I'm actually kinda growing fond of the ole stepper... interesting... and then did the precor thing- which I really hate cuz it doesn't feel natural at all, but it definately works your butt out! Soo I pushed as hard as I could on that, but when it came time to do the 5min cooldown I said screw it, moved on to the treamill to do the cool down, and tried to do a little running- 3minutes outta 15. Stupid! Why can't I run?! I just don't get it...
Anyway, gotta make this short, will try to catch up on everyones diaries tomorrow night! |

Didn't I send you that 9 week training program a while ago that builds you up to a 5k or something? I think that's the ONLY way I will EVER be able to run is slowly increasing the amoung of running time from walking time... besides, interval training is GREAT for fat loss!!!
Hope you enjoy your day off tomorrow!! |

I say if ya wanna become a runner to enjoy running, go for it! If it's more about the amount of calories you can burn...
"Research shows that walking quickly on a treadmill (4.5 miles per hour) actually burns more calories than jogging at the same pace! By simply increasing your intensity while walking, a simple stroll becomes a kick-ass workout. Power walking is a great cross-training tool, and since it's low-impact, it's ideal for joints while still maintaining a high level of fitness." -Oxygen Magazine October 2008 |

Rep Power: 28 | | I'm still here! Its been a lonnnnggg week... I've missed my "therapy diary" lol.
*Note: For those who would like to see my workouts for the week, let me know, cuz I'll post em... but missing a weeks worth of posting is a lot to do right now, so I'm just gonna start fresh RIGHT NOW for the new week.*
Things at work are gonna be pretty much back to normal starting this week. I only need to train the new guys on closing the computers down and stuff and thats it, so I will FINALLY get to have my regular 2days off a week! YAYYY! I was a little dissapointed this week again- TOM is over, but I still didn't lose anything I hate how it seems like you can work and work and work for it, but nothing gives.. Oh well, point is- I'm STILL going, I'm STILL motivated(right now at this very moment I'm FREAKISHLY motivated, which is odd since its 3 am, lol) and I'm at least helping my health out, even if I'm not lookin all hot and steamy yet.
I'm gonna go check in on some other diaries, will be back tomorrow! |

Rep Power: 28 | | Oh, almost forgot!! I went to the gym tonight!! Woo! Can't hardly believe I went on a Saturday, but seriously, I'm at work tonight, and I just got this intense feeling like I HAD to work out. so i did. It wasn't a huge workout, but it was an enjoyable one:
did some arms and some legs, and then for cardio I did 15min, .75miles, and 36floors on the stair stepper, and then 15min and .95miles on the treadmill, and then swam for 45 minutes. I'm not reallllly counting the swimming as to much of a workout, just cuz a friend came with me and we pretty much bs'd half the time, lol. I probly coulda worked out longer, but my friend(shes only 25! I feel horrible for her!) has severe arthritis and EVERYTHING ends up hurting her. I am NOT envious of that.. heck noooo.
ANywho, thats it |

Rep Power: 12 | | | Wow, you are working hard both on the bod and at work, good for you for sticking with the working out with everything that has been going on in your life!
I can really see what you are saying about working hard and nothing coming out of it (or so it seems). I had been working my ass off before I hurt my back and nothing was coming out of it. I wasn't losing weight and I was stagnant in my weight. But ever since I hurt my back it has been made 20 times harder because I can't work out like how I would like. It is frustrating, but hopefully this week you'll see a big loss and prove your hard work is paying off!
Congrats on the Saturday workout and good luck with your weigh in! |

Congrats on the Saturday workout and good luck with your weigh in! | Ya know, the positive is that even tho we weren't LOSING the weight, we aren't gaining it either.. maintenance is a bitch, so its nice to know that we've got that part mastered, haha! |

Rep Power: 28 | | It was sooo amazingly wonderful to have a day off! Slept in real late, sat around a bit. DID get some stuff done- cleaned my house, did some laundry, etc.
Not gonna lie- I CRAVED chocolate allll day long, and I DID have this little huckleberry chocolate thingy, it was good. Hit the spot.
TOnights workout:
I have decided to mix it up a bit on weights; I always do one body part each day, but tonight I did a little bit of shoulders, chest, and some bicep and tricep stuff.. eh. We'll see if it helps at all. Cardio: stairstepper 15min, 35floors, .73miles; precor(elliptical cross trainer) 30min, 2.35miles.
GOnna cut this short tonight- wanna try and sleep a bit more than normal, because I do NOT get enuf! | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
