I am just home from a 5 hour shift, and ready to hop on the 'mill for a good hour or so. I never would have thought that I would look forward to sweating on a treadmill, and don't know if I actually would like it if the telly weren't directly in front of it!
MARGARET:
Thanks for cheering me on, I do hope to see a loss at weigh in this week. Of course my own scale showed 174 this morning, but that has happened before. If only I could weigh my morning weight for the whole day! Funny how it fluctuates.

Janice- nice job on the treadmill. I still can't get myself to go on one.. i hate the thing and love working out on the elliptical.. haha i can easily do 1.5 hours on one.. anyways hope the scale works with you instead of against you.
Hi Maverick and Heather! Thanks for stopping by! Today I did another 1.5 hours on the 'mill, nearly drowning in a sea of sweat. LOL I have learned that I must have a towel near by! And the tv shows must be good enough to keep my interest.
HEATHER: I wonder how an elliptical compares with a treadmill for calorie burn? I'd be curious to find out! How are things going now that you guys are all settled in and used to having DH home? Are his annoying habits driving you batty yet? Aaah, the joys of married life!
Tomorrow I go for weigh in. Yesterday my home scale said 174, today it said 172. However, the WW scale has said 176 for 1.5 months, and I will be very shocked if it shows any different tomorrow. Ahem...shocked, but delighted, I assure you! I'll letcha know.
OH YEAH! OH YEAH! Feelin' goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood to be down 2.2 pounds, F*I*N*A*L*L*Y!!! For anyone who was keeping track, it had to be around 6 weeks I was totally stuck!
So this morning I got up early and got on that dang 'mill for half an hour, just leaving me enough time to shower and get to my WW meeting! I am very pleased to say that all of my hard workouts and continuing to watch my food intake has finally paid off again, and once more the scale is my friend!
So for anyone else who is (or will be) miserably stuck on an evil plateau, I urge you to be patient and not lose heart. Change up your exercise routine, keep watching what you eat, and eventually you'll see a loss again!
I hope that you will also have many wonderful cyber pals who make it their duty to encourage and support you!
THANKS, EVERYONE!!!
Now for a yummy, healthy lunch and then off to work for a few hours. Happy Friday!
I am a firm believer in doing some walking before weighing. I take my daily weight as the one after my morning long walk. It regularly is less than the weighing before the walk. I often weigh before as well if there is a risk that I will eat or drink while I am out.
Aaaw, shucks! Thanks, Margaret! I have been on somewhat of a "high" all day after finally breaking through the evil plateau. I am, of course, a little nervous that next week will not show a loss again, but I will not complain if I can basically get things evened out to about 1 lb per week. Mind you, I also won't complain if I can lose more than 1 lb in a week!
I did actually do a mini workout prior to going for my weigh in this morning; perhaps I will make a habit of that. I have likewise found that I weigh less after a workout - and if you saw how much I sweat on that 'mill, you would not doubt it!!!
Well, it is midnight here, well past my bedtime. Today we are finally meeting our newest 2 band members and having our first practice, which should be fun and exciting! After that I will do a nice, big workout...followed by a nice, long bubble bath! Sounds like a lovely day ahead.

A well deserved high congrats on your 2.2lb loss
you have kicked that plateau so far behind you it can not be seen LOL
Thanks, Sarah! I was absolutely thrilled when the scale registered a loss! Hope I can keep it up...or down...
Today I sweated it out for 1.5 hrs, through 1.5 episodes of CSI on telly. Not my fave show by any stretch; however, it is engrossing enough to keep my interest while on the 'mill. I think I will just stick with running through all commercial breaks, which should work out to about 3 minutes at a time, I reckon. So that likely looks like WALK 15 min RUN 3 min. Usually there are about 20 mins of commercials during a one hour show, so I think that is sufficient and shouldn't bother my foot or my knee. I have plantar fasciitis on my left foot (have had it for 3 yrs, + a heel spur) and had surgery on my right knee about 27 years ago. OMG, I cannot believe I was 10 yrs old that long ago!!! Where has the time gone?
Our band practice was absolutely horrendous; a total bust. Extremely disappointing, but I guess there are still many things that need to be worked out. Our bass player got called in to work and neglected to tell us - but then we found out that he is underage and would not be able to play in the pubs, anyway! Ask me if I was impressed to find this out. GRRRR...It all would have been avoided/sorted out if DH had done the research I had asked him to do! Today is one of those days when my marriage feels like a weight around my neck (pardon the weight pun!). I am sure tomorrow will be better.
All for now, hope you've all done your exercise for the day!
Does anyone know why my name & info have disappeared from the Weight Loss Table? I had set up a graph and my info when I started, but did not add to it over the last month or so, frustrated by my plateau! However, I want to update it now, and my name is nowhere to be found???
HAPPY SUNDAY, ALL! Today was, thankfully, a much more enjoyable day than yesterday. After church (ooooh...where I got to wear a GORGEOUS new skirt and tiny size 10 short blazer, looking so fine, I must say I came home and got right on the 'mill for a good hour or so - til Mumsy showed up and wanted me to go over to her place for a soak in the hot tub! AAAAH, simply heavenly
I am now to the point where I really look forward to my time on the treadmill, no interruptions (usually), really working hard. It feels so good, and I know it is good for me! I am so thankful that DH picked it up at auction when he did, before I was even ready to contemplate losing weight. For all of the ways he drives me absolutely up the wall, he really is a pretty good fellow.
