Rep Power: 25 | | MARGARET!!! You're into the 150s now!!! Way to go! Hi All
Did my good solid hour today, expect the same for tomorrow.
Tonight was very pleasant as my folks watched our girls and DH and I went for dinner & a movie. Dinner was tres yum, pasta & seafood! I ate 1/2 piece of garlic bread and about 1/2 the pasta. It was soooooo good, I just enjoyed every bite! And DH can finish the rest for lunch tomorrow. The movie was a treat. Called 27 Dresses, about a gal who is always a bridesmaid. Obviously it was MY turn to pick the movie! LOL DH was a good sport; there was only one other male in the whole theatre!
All for now

Rep Power: 25 | | SNOOKUMS:It was actually stunningly easy for me to drop the first 30 pounds. I mean ridiculously so. I am losing my weight with Weight Watchers, and it is a very simply, common sense programme. However, I did hit a nasty plateau once I dropped to 176lbs and was there for about 6 depressing weeks. During that time I not only continued my regular exercise & better eating, but also amped up the exercise a notch - which is what I think busted my plateau! Today I RAN ON THE MILL FOR 1/2 AN HOUR!!! I could not believe it! It was amazing! LOL Must have been a reallygood CSI...
Anyhow, hoping to see another drop at the scales this week. We shall see.
cheers

How funny you and I lost and hit plateaus around the same time. My first 25-30 pounds came off rather easy to within the first 5 months, but then I hit this plateau around the 170's and it's been stuck for months, up one pound down 2, up 2 down 1 it's crazy, but it hasn't stopped me from working out and trying to stay good on the food. Weight Watchers is such a great program and I think it's easy for about any person to do.
Congrats on doing so well, you really have stuck to the program, and that's why you are seeing such great results.
Have a wonderful day and an even better tomorrow

Thanks for the kind words! Hang in there and that plateau will break eventually. Frustrating as all heck, I know!
SNOOKUMS:
Yes, go for the WW on-line! Many people use the online programme, and totally lose on it! It is a great option for folks who can't get to meetings or who just prefer to lose with on-line support. I just want to clarify that I was actually on the 'mill for the whole hour -just ran for half of it rather than only in commercials! Man, it felt sooooo good. I will try that again tomorrow.

I just wanted to stop in and say that my hubby and I watched this movie a few weeks ago, and we both absolutely loved it. He doesn't like chic flicks very much either, but really enjoyed this one. There were so many amazingly funny parts of this movie. I think I'll buy it once it comes out..
Anyway, I hope you are having a great day, I didn't get to read through all your stuff, but saw this and wanted to comment. |

Rep Power: 15 | | Hey ABBA! Thanks for coming by my journal, thought I would check yours out as well. I'm super impressed with your progress - you and I share similar start weights and goal weights. I'm so impressed - what you've done definitely motivates me!! Congrats on running the 1/2 hour - I'm looking forward to the day I can say that! |

Rep Power: 25 | | Thanks, Heather! You can do it, too!
I did my full workout today, too. Tomorrow is weigh-in day...I always hope I've lost 2 lbs, but I just don't know. As long as the scale registers a loss, I will have to just be pleased with it. I can honestly say that pants fit me better now than they did a week ago, so obviously I am still changing shape. YAY ME! Well, better get to bed early so I can do my workout early, before the weigh in.
Cheers

Rep Power: 25 | | WELL PHOOEY! Down only 0.8 of a pound, according to WW. So that puts me at 165. My goal for this week is to ditch 2 more lbs and get down to 163! Now THAT will be cool! I guess I'm now just 10 lbs from my "official" goal of 155 - pretty spankin' if you ask me! From there I will decide how much lower I want to go.
I am loooooving fitting into size 11 pants! Feels so ooh-la-la...
Good day, all.

Thanks for the congratulations. We all love crossing those milestones.
I am so impressed with you running for 30 minutes while on your treadmill. I havent dared run yet. I well and truly exhaust myself at my aerobics class so I wonder if that is a similar thing. I might try running one of these days.
Dont worry about not losing as much as you hoped. The fact is that you say that your body is changing shape week on week (and lets face it you looked great on that last photo) so with the amount of exercise that you do - it is more than likely to be muscle developing. Remember - it is so much heavier that you could lose a fair bit of fat and the scale could tell you that you had gained weight.
You are so near to goal - you will be there before you know it.
Take care
Love

Rep Power: 25 | | YAY 4 ME!!! Today I ran for 40 minutes on the mill!
I am working my way up to mostly running/jogging while on my beloved/hated treadmill. I figure I am on it for a whole hour EVERY SINGLE DAY anyway, so why not make the most of it? Now that spring seems to be arriving in our gorgeous Okanagan Valley (yes, it is only February ) I am wanting to do my workout outdoors, but I know I would have to jog the whole time just to match the intensity of my 'mill workout, because I do it on such a serious incline.
Hey, I cannot believe how shapely my calves are now! Unfortunately it makes it very hard to find sexy boots to wear, as they don't zip up over my incredible muscles but I guess that is the price I pay.
Today I saw my eldest brother, whom I haven't seen since Christmas or so. He could not BELIEVE how much weight I have lost, even just over the last couple of months! Very nice to hear coming from a sibling. Heck, nice to hear from anybody!
So... good for me! Hope your weekend is successful and happy.
Cheers

Rep Power: 25 | | Yes, I did hit the 'mill again today. Yes, I sweated. Yes, it felt good.
Then I went over to Mum's for a soak in the hot tub and a lovely visit with brother #2, who is a nurse, and who cannot believe how much better I look these days! Now he is also on a better-health campaign. Mind you, he is a whole 3 years older than I am... at least I still have youth on my side .
Tomorrow will include another treadmill session, as well as a date with The Jugs. In case you don't know, those are my 2 empty juice jugs that I filled with water. They weigh 7 lbs each, and I use them for my upper body strength training. Gotta use the 'mill and the jugs, peeps!
Cheers
