Rep Power: 25 | | Happy Wednesday, all. Spring certainly has arrived in our neck of the woods, making life much happier.
I did my full workout on the mill, as usual. My foot has been acting up since I began increasing my running time, so have dropped it (at least temporarily) back down to basically just running during commercial breaks. This is frustrating, as I truly love that "runner's high" but I truly hate plantar fasciitis and my heel spur even more! But I am making sure that I am walking VIGOROUSLY, and still on the steepest incline possible. When I weighed myself today, it fluctuated between 162 and 163 lbs.
Now I am going to finish watching Biggest Loser and then head off to work.
By the by, I have just been started on thyroid meds with the hope of getting my hormones under control. They still are not sure what is causing all the fluctuation, but it is obvious things are not right. Unfortunately, the down side is that Synthroid causes the runs. Do you know what that is? I will give you a hint; it is not this: I only wish it were! Sadly, it is from the other end. This mainly seems to affect me in the morning, but it leaves me feeling pretty gross. SO EXTRA GOOD ON ME FOR STILL GETTING ON THAT MILL!!!!
Cheers to all

Rep Power: 43 | | OH girl you CRACK ME UP!!! LOL LOL I almost wet myself reading the last part of your post. Of course we all know what the runs are girl, who hasn't had a bought of them once or twice, or more for some of us. LOL LOL Well, luckily I haven't had to deal with that for many, many years, but wow medication can surely do that to a system. Hopefully, they can get that under control for you, because that will drain your body of much needed fluids and nutrients you need to keep the energy level up, make sure you drink a lot water or Gatorade or even pedialite. And your so RIGHT, you ROCK for staying with the program and still working out, YOU GO GETTER YOU!!! Take care of yourself and keep going forward!! Lots of love to ya!

Rep Power: 15 | | Hey ABBA! Sorry to hear about your digestive issues on synthroid. I definitely didn't know that was a side effect of the medication! I don't take it, but I've given it to plenty of my patients when I worked in the hospital. Unfortunate. . . .hopefully it's not a more than once a day type thing because that's no good!! Good for you for getting on the 'mill despite not feeling the best. I actually thought of you and your " 'mill" usage when I was on the treadmill at my apartment gym this AM! Anything that makes me smile at 6am in the gym is certainly appreciated. |

Glad I could bring a smile to your face while at the gym at that EARLY hour! Yeesh, I must say, you are surely one dedicated gal to be working out at that time...and at the gym, yet! I am totally spoiled having a 'mill right in my basement (in front of the TV, of course!).
Keep up the great work!

Rep Power: 38 | | I am back in the swing of that 5:15 trip to the gym myself. What's sad is that when I got there, there wasn't a single treadmill open. Fortunately, one openned as I was taking off my coat and getting what I needed together. My dad was on synthoid and it worked well for him. Good luck with that...uhm messy side effect. |

What GLORIOUS weather we are having here!!! Absolute Spring. Flowers blooming, birds singing... so much for the frozen Canadian north! 'scuse me whilst I rub it in...
Worked a short shift, then came home to get in my 'mill time before the littles get home from school. The scale is still solidly showing me at 163, but I can be patient. I tried on pants that were quite snug last week, and they are just a little snug now, which means I am still shrinking!
Tomorrow is weigh in day at WW. I will go this week, as I daren't miss 2 in a row. Besides, I truly enjoy the meetings and simply *adore* our leader! She is such a little dynamo, and she always cracks me up.
Here's to a happy weigh in...

Rep Power: 15 | | | Hey ABBA! Glad to hear that you're having happy spring weather. I can't WAIT for warm weather. I'm still hesistant to enjoy it as I fear some crazy March snowstorm like we usually have, but I've definitely been opening the sunroof on the car!!
Good luck to you on your WW meeting and the weigh-in!! |

Weigh in went well. I am "officially" 163.2 lbs, according to WW. That puts me just 1.2 lbs away from the lovely 50 lb loss As mentioned earlier (in several posts!) my initial goal is 155 lbs, but I will likely try to get down to 150 or 145. It feels soooo good to be moving towards my goal!
I am believing that this week will see me reach my 50 lb loss. Hopefully the thyroid meds will help and not hinder.
Blessings

After working a full shift, I came home and got right on the you-know-what for my usual hour. Feels good. Now in need of a nice hot shower!

Congratulations on the official 163.2. It is great that you are so near to your 50 pounds lost milestone.
I am so jealous of you for being so close to goal - to think in terms of being there next month!!!!!!
I am sorry to hear about the health issues. The runs are never nice. I hope that the medication does the trick and the side-effects go away.
Take care
Love

Congratulations on hitting your 50 POUNDS LOST milestone.
That is a huge accomplishment and you should be very proud of it.
Dont worry about Aunt Flo and retaining water. We all do that. It is not water weight that we worry about. You got rid of the fat and that is what really matters. The water weight will disappear very soon.
Well done for doing the treadmill while feeling less than perfect. It takes a bit of doing - but you dont need me to say how much it is worth doing.
Enjoy the sense of achievement.
Take care
Love
