Rep Power: 25 | | Aww, thanks, Kim and Margaret! It feels GREAT to have lost 50 lbs! I love the way I look now. Physically and emotionally, my life has improved a great deal. I feel EMPOWERED instead of defeated and hopeless, which is pretty much how I felt before I started my WL journey. In fact, losing this weight has really inspired me to get other parts of my life in order - and I am doing it! Slowly but surely, my dreams WILL become my reality, just like my weight loss.
So thanks for cheering me on, and DON'T STOP! I still have a ways to go. I believe I will reach for 150 as my final WL goal. It seems that it would be sustainable. At least, that is my thought this week; once I get there, I may want to plunge even lower!!!
FEELING POWERFUL,

Congrats on the 50 lbs woman, you've made it a long way and I'm sure you can make it to any goal you can set from now on.
Also I envy you, all we have here is snow and piles for it. |

Rep Power: 25 | | | Hey Umbra! Sorry about your lousy weather! What can I say - God favors the West!!! tee hee...
Scale still showing 161 today post workout, so maybe that will be my actual weight at Friday's weigh in!
Started my first job as an independent contractor yesterday. This means that in addition to working at the hospital, I am slowly starting to build up outside work for other docs, at my own wage *smiles* I would like to be running my own business within the next year, on my way to building my vast empire of wealth! MOOOO-HA-HA-HA! (evil laughter, not a happy cow).
All for now

Rep Power: 25 | | I don't know why it is not working for me to use any of the emoticons anymore, or even to adjust the size of my font??? I suspect it is this #$%& laptop I am now using...
At any rate, did my workout today and go for weigh in on the morrow. (Don't you just love that - it sounds so deliciously Jane Eyre!). Sadly, my plantar fasciitis appears to be rearing its VERY ugly head again, paining me badly in my left foot. But now I am so dependent upon my treadmill for exercise, I cannot bring myself to stop! *sigh* Wisdom forces me to take a break, at least on Saturday and Sunday, hoping by Monday I will feel much better. I am stretching and icing and continuing my ACVinegar.
I D-R-E-A-D the thought of having to get another evil cortisone injection in the bottom of my foot! You simply cannot imagine how much it hurts to have a large needle thrust into the sole of your foot, and then having what feels like cement injected into the most painful part. Yes, I am one big baby! LOL - smaller now by 50 lbs, however...tee hee!
Wish me luck on my weigh in.
Cheers

Rep Power: 25 | | Well PHOOEY on the WW scale! Harumph. They still show me to have 1.2 lbs left before getting to my 50 lb goal. So I guess I will be working extra hard this week and writing down all my food.
On the very happy side, today after weigh in I went to a more upscale consignment store, and bought 3 teeny, tiny dresses! Two of them are for my 20 yr high school grad reunion; one lovely & elegant and one that says HA! LOOK WHAT YOU MISSED OUT ON!!! hee hee I will have DH take some pics of me in my gor-ge-ous new duds so you all can see, too. That helped to alleviate some of my WW disappointment, so I suppose it was a little bit of retail therapy.
Oh, the dresses are medium. I think they are all size 9/10 Cdn.
Cheers!

Rep Power: 15 | | Hey ABBA! Phooey on the WW scales indeed! In my mind though you've already hit your mark.
Take care of that foot!! Has anyone recommended something else you can do to help the pain? Does it ever go away? I had to take a day off from the gym this week too because my knee was bothering me! Oh the woes of those of us who work out!!
Have a great weekend |

Rep Power: 25 | | | 50 pound loss pics ... Enjoy! A big HUG to all of you who have been so supportive and encouraging of my journey. I have not reached my goal yet, but am clearly getting closer each month . I know now that daily exercise & portion control MUST be a part of my life until I get to heaven!
Remember I started in July '07 at 211 lbs. The most recent pics in black dresses (for my 20 yr high school reunion - pretty sweet, I must say!) show me at 161 lbs. |
