Rep Power: 25 | | Thanks, guys! Sure does feel good being closer to goal than farther back.
I didn't get a chance to work out yesterday, it was just a crazy day with a surprise visit from my (black sheep) sister. It was interesting, and my kids were happy to see their aunty. Of course I put on an impromptu dinner (invited my Dad over, too - plus sister brought two unexpected guests)...and of course I had plans for the evening, already! Needless to say, it was a busy day, and I did not get anywhere NEAR the treadmill. But I have already been on the mill for my hour today, so we are really "back on track".
Now off for dinner with a pal and then out to work the evening shift.
Cheers
ABBA

Thanks again for your kind words! Did my full workout today. Enjoying days with my kids while they are on Spring break. I am working evenings during this time, so I don't see DH much but am home with the girls. Today I took them rollerblading for the first time of the season. They have been riding bikes for a few weeks already.
Tomorrow morning I work, then will come home and do my treadmill routine. I sure am thankful Dh picked up that rickety old thing!
Cheers

Went for a splendid long walk with a dear childhood friend today, probably for an hour or so. Then guess what? I came home and got right on that 'mill for my hour! Feels so good. Mmm-mmm I can just taste summer time and lazy days on the beach - this time feeling GREAT about how I look, and not trying to hide under t-shirts!
I really, really want to be able to celebrate breaking through the 50 lb barrier at Weight Watchers. I won't go this week (closed for the long weekend) so surely do expect to see a decent loss when I next get weighed!
cheers

Rep Power: 25 | | Okay, if you wonder whether I really do sweat as much as I say whilst on the 'mill, my pre-workout weight this morning was 161 *yawn* nothing new there. My post workout weight, however, was 158!!! Wow, that was a happy, thrilling surprise! LOL
I seem to have been a bit stuck at 161 for the last few weeks, though my clothing tells me that I have continued to shrink. FEELS SO GOOD! However, it is time to bust through to the 150s.
Wish me luck,

Rep Power: 15 | | Hey ABBA! That's crazy how much you sweat out at the gym!! That makes me feel nervous, though because I inevitably weigh myself after I've been at the gym!! Then again, that is what I've consistently been doing so I suppose I have a general idea of what is going on. Bah. It's crappy to think that I weigh a potential three more lbs than what the scale is telling me now!!! Oi.
ANYHOW continual congrats on your 50lb mark. Have a PARTY! Hope you get all the recognition you deserve at the next WW meeting! |

Rep Power: 25 | | lol thanks, gals. Yeah, whodathunk i sweat so much? hee hee I mean, it is literally DRIPPING off me onto the 'mill. I do keep a towel handy, otherwise it is all in my eyes and on my glasses and just EWWW gross!
I only wish that would be my *real* weight and not just post workout. I hate, hate, hate it when the scale doesn't seem to budge. But when I look in the mirror now just in my skivvies, I can see that my waist is teeny, tiny compared to what it once was.
And I actually don't mind wearing a tank top now and letting the world see my arms! That is the other part of my workout: I have filled 2 juice containers and I use them for weights. They each weigh 7 lbs. By the time I am done my reps and sets with them, my arms feel ready to fall off!
I haven't done any situps or pushups in a while; probably wouldn't hurt me to get back into doing that regularly, but OMGosh, I only have so much time, people! I don't skimp on the 'mill time - it must be at least one full hour. Then it takes me another 7 or 8 minutes to do the juice jug lifting. Then I have to get myself hosed off afterward...truly the whole thing takes between 1.5 and 2 hrs every day. Show me ANY wife/mom who has that much extra time to spend on just exercising daily! *sigh* But it really has become a priority for me, and my family just accepts it.
well, it is waaaaay past my bedtime, so i'll chat with you tomorrow!

Rep Power: 25 | | Took the littles to our Good Friday service, then grocery shopping, then home for cleaning. Tomorrow I work a full shift, but am looking forward to Easter Sunday and Monday off. DH also has those days off, which should be nice. My Dad will have Easter dinner with us. My Mom is on a big holiday Down Under for another month, and she is usually the one to host it. Easter came so early this year; it totally snuck up on me!
At any rate, I managed to do a real number on my GOOD foot somehow. I sill worked out on it yesterday and today, though today spent a shorter time on the 'mill. It feels like maybe I pulled a muscle along the side of my foot/ankle? It hurts when I stand flat on it. Of course it couldn't be the foot with the plantar fasciitis!!! *sigh* Maybe this is God's way of slowing me down over the Easter weekend...
Anyway, I do hope you all have a wonderful weekend and spend some time giving thanks for every good thing in your lives - and even for some of the hard things.
Blessings,
ABBA |

Rep Power: 15 | | | So sorry to hear about your (other) bum foot!! Take a rest - I've actually had to switch up some of my 'mill time for elliptical and bike time because my knees were getting really sore with all the running. So I think I'm gonna keep on, but do the 'mill three out of six days that I work out. Maybe a bike ride in lieu of the running? Just a thought. . . .I'm trying to come up with creative yet intensive low-impact workouts for myself as well. Good luck and happy Easter! |

Rep Power: 25 | | HE IS RISEN!!! This is our most special day of the year. Lots of celebrating to be done, including a big ham and scalloped potato dinner! No treadmill today, just lots of cooking, visiting, and rejoicing. HAPPY EASTER! |

I hope that you are having a great Easter.
It certainly sounded like you had some good plans for the weekend.
Congratulations on the 158 low weight. It certainly counts as far as I am concerned. The WW weighing is merely a Friday snapshot in time. I do hope that the WW weight gives you the loss recognition that you deserve this week.
I am sorry to hear about all your current foot problems. Both feet seem to have suddenly got a lot worse for you. That foot injection sounds a very painful thing.
The 1.5 to 2 hours that you spend on exercise does reduce your day dramatically - but you have had excellent results by doing it. The fact is that you would do it all again in a heartbeat armed with the knowledge that it all does actually work. It is great that your success with your weight loss project is causing you to think and act positively in other aspects of your life too.
Take care
Love

Rep Power: 25 | | Whew! That was a BIG dinner...today I got on that mill for 1.5 hours, and I will do the same tomorrow, hoping to make up for all that food and the fact that I did no mill yesterday. But today saw me back on track. I don't expect a loss this week, however.
I love Easter! Hope you all had a great time!
