Every time I look in your diary you are still losing weight and more importantly inches and getting nearer and nearer to goal. The fact is - only recently you told me that your dream was to have the figure that you had when you married and you have that already.
Talking of marriage - I hope that the counselling goes well. I am sure that it will as these people are trained and used to dealing with this situation that is so uncomfortable for their clients. Your husband has agreed to go - so I am sure that he wants to save your marriage as much as you do. You have the history together and the kids, and lets face it - your new hot body has to give him a little extra incentive too.
I know that your husband cares for you - he bought you that treadmill to help make your dreams come true.
Take care
Love

Rep Power: 25 | | Thanks Margaret - that was just what I needed to hear. I am hopeful that counseling is at least a step in the right direction. I think it will help just to have a neutral third party listen to what has been going on and offer their thoughts on it. I would like to hammer out some "rules to live by" that he really WILL live by, but I know that I cannot "make him" do a dang thing. He has to want to see change in our relationship. My doc scared me this last week by telling me that perhaps what is necessary by way of an intervention is actually for me to leave. That would give him the shock of his life, all right - but I am now willing to scar my kids like that. Their Daddy is faaaaar from perfect, but they love him, and he loves them, so we just have to work it out.
Weight wise I was thoroughly irritated to get on that scale today and have it RIGHT BACK UP at 158 which is TOTAL !!! Grrrr...
I'll chat with you tomorrow.

Rep Power: 25 | | I am happy to say that our first meeting went very well. It was quite draining emotionally (90 minutes of he says/she says) but we both felt "heard" and are each looking forward to our individual sessions next week. My basic feeling is simply one of HOPE - finally. I really want DH to get help for his depression, and think it might actually happen now. DH seemed relieved to hear some of what I had to say, which was obviously contrary to what he thought.
So I don't really think that I lost anything this week, but with all of the stress related to this counseling session, I am not surprised and won't beat myself up over it. I am so relieved!
hope you have all had a good week.

I am so pleased that the meeting went so positively. It is great that you both felt heard. It sounds like some wonderful steps forward are taking place for you.
None of us are perfect - all that we can strive towards is that we all do our best to find a compromise solution that everyone feels comfortable with and that ticks everyone's boxes for what they are looking for.
A weight gain and less than ideal eating (i.e. emotional eating) are par for the course in stressful times. Understand this and forgive yourself for not being able to have the emotions of a machine.
Take care
Love

Rep Power: 25 | | Thanks for stopping by, gals. Sarah, so pleased that you are now under that 200 lb milestone! And glad I can be of some encouragement when you need a little butt kickin' hee hee
Weigh in was disappointing, as the scale registered me at EXACTLY the same as the week before. However, today after my workout, my scale once again read 154 lbs, and then I had to race to the mall for some more affirmation, where I purchased a TEENY, TINY SIZE 5 SKIRT!!! Wow, truly hard to wrap my mind around that, but my size 8 skirt is literally falling off me these days. I also picked up a new blouse, camisole, and shoes. Cory was very impressed to take me out for my early Mother's Day dinner looking so ooh-la-la! The fun part came when I was walking home afterwards (he dropped me off at my Mom's place across the street so she could see my outfit). As I was walking home, a car with some young bucks slowed down, honked, and hooted at me! I giggled and grinned until I got in my door. Now THAT felt good!
Talk to you soon,

Rep Power: 85 | | Hi Janice Congratulations on the new tiny skirt size! You look great in it (and the rest of the new outfit). Also great about the appreciation from the young lads. Enough to make a girl feel much younger! |

Rep Power: 25 | | Well, my scale continues to play games with me, as once again it is reading that dang 157 lbs!!! GRRR However, my lovely SIZE 5 skirt is helping to keep me feeling good, knowing that I am still shrinking for sure. The scale is just not showing it!
I did a really good workout today. Will do the same tomorrow, and the day after that, and the day after that, and...you get the idea. Over and over, every day, until I am no longer physically able to haul myself onto the 'mill. I assume I will be in my late 70s or early 80s at that time!
All for now

If it makes you feel like you have company - my scale has moved me from the 144.8 I was last Tuesday to 147.6 today. I know that it is all water weight from a pre-TOM gain but I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes the scales know nothing.
When you are in your early 80s I will be in my early 90s and still out walking (unless I have got a mill of my own by then).
I just joined Weight Watchers (as you know I have been toying with the idea in preparation for maintenance) so am reading up on points etc.
Take care
Love

Rep Power: 25 | | How exciting that you have joined WW, Margaret! I think you'll find it very simple and common sense. GUESS WHO'S GOING TO DISNEYLAND??? That's right - I booked our trip online and we are gone from May 29 to June 4!!! I can hardly believe it. We NEVER do fun stuff like that! However, DL currently has a deal where kids fly free under 12 yrs, and DL passes are on sale 5 days for the price of 3, and we finally got a nice, big tax return, so...rather than putting all of the $ against our bills, I decided it was time for this family to have some fun, dangnabit!!! Very, very excited!
So here's to me! I am living the dream (regardless of what my scale says!)
cheers

Rep Power: 25 | | Worked out today. We are suddenly experiencing summer weather, in the 30s (celsius) which is quite warm. supposed to be hotter on the weekend, and bring on flooding as the snow cap melts from our mountains! fortunately we are on high ground Tomorrow is my weigh in, but I don't think the scale will show I have lost a dang ounce! GRRR However, I did wear my size 5 to work today
