Rep Power: 43 | | Good Job staying at the same weight, as it is VERY hard to lose weight, it's even harder to stay at the same weight in my opinion, so you did well!!! I going in the same flo as you, where I lose good one week, then stay the same for two weeks, then lose, but I'm okay with that also. Keep up the great work!! and I'm so happy to read you had a great time with the family.
I love seeing live stage shows, those are the best!! I've taken my sons to several in their 18 years.
Good luck this week!! maybe it will be another weight loss week for you!!

The picture is brilliant. You are doing so well. It shows how very successful your project has been.
I'll bet your kids enjoyed the pantomime. My husband and I are big kids. We used to go to several pantomimes every year. There is something about sitting there yelling "Behind you" that makes you always feel like you are about 8 years old.
Dont worry about not getting weight loss every week. We all have weeks when we get a good loss, weeks when we get a little loss, and those when we can put something on. On the surface there is no explanation because you can be equally good through the whole duration - but that seems to be the way it goes. I believe that the monthly cycle and salts in the diet pay a large part - but wouldnt be surprised if there are other factors too. I think factors like toilet habits just before weighing pay a bit of a part in it all too.
I have a Weight Watchers pedometer and every day it tells me how many points I have earned. If you havent got one it may be worth you getting one. The points are currently meaningless for me as I do not go to WW. I am seriously considering joining as I get near to goal - in order to get all the info to help me through maintenance. I have a long way to go - but am trying to plan out my strategy now.
Take care

Thanks, once again, for the encouragement! You must be so pleased with how your own WL journey is going, as well. BTW, how tall are you? In your pic in the red dress I thought you looked taller than me. I am 5'4".
Joining WW to learn maintenance tips, etc. could be helpful. I have found their programme to be the most reasonable in that I can still basically eat anything, but must always be mindful not to overdo it. Of course I opt for whole wheat over white, more veggies, less junk, etc. I'd love to get a WW pedometer; if you can believe it, they don't sell them here! Very silly. They seem to sell everything else stamped with the WW logo...
All for now, off to church. Have a marvelous day & week! Hope DH is feeling much better and up to joining you for some more walking.
Cheers

We are both doing really well.
I am not as tall as you - 5 ft 3 ins - so there is not a great deal of difference - but you are taller.
It's a shame that you dont have the opportunity to buy a WW pedometer. OK - I know that I do a lot of miles but on an average day I may do about 11.5 miles and it tells me that I have earned 9 points. As it is I am wanting to lose weight and so it hardly matters because I think that will help me lose some weight. But I am thinking if I was trying to maintain - I bet I could have some real goodies with 9 extra points a day.
I hope that church goes well - and that you have a great week too.
Unfortunately my husband now is full of cold and has gout - so he is feeling a bit sorry for himself. I just hope that he doesnt give the cold to me - he normally does (always generous that way)!!!
Take care
Love

Rep Power: 25 | | Thanks very much for your kind words, Miss LadyBug! What I would not give to have an extra two inches of height! LOL The more vertically challenged one is, the harder it is to hide any extra poundage! LOL
Glad you liked my outfit. I bought the skirt several years ago, and it was snug. I haven't fit it since then, and now it is so much easier to breathe in it! hee hee The sweater was a thrift store find! It (and the roses on the skirt) are actually a lovely red, rather than Campbell Soup Orange, as they appear in the pic! Hubby seems rather pleased with the outfit, and he rarely comments on such things, so something must be right!
Thanks again and good luck at the gym working off all that turkey & stuffing & pie & sweet potato casserole & ice cream & wine & ...

Rep Power: 25 | | Well thanks, Ally! And thanks for stopping by my journal!
I am feeling tired yet euphoric after a great walk/jog on my treadmill for the first time this season. BECAUSE THERE IS OVER AN INCH OF STINKING SNOW ON THE GROUND!!! LOL Welcome to Canada, I guess. We've actually had a very mild Fall and winter thus far - this is our first snowfall in the Valley. My kids are very excited. Good thing we went out after dinner and bought them new boots! When we got out of WalMart, the ground was white.
In addition to the treadmill I did 10 push ups (and nearly died) and about 15 sit ups. Lord, have mercy! Obviously my body needs some more training...
Cheers to all |

Well done for getting on the treadmill. And doing the push-ups and sit-ups.
Whatever Sarah says - I am pleased that we do not have tons of snow where I live in England. I am dreading any snowfall because I have this nasty feeling that it will stop me walking.
I can however identify with your kids. When I was young I used to love to play in the snow. And it certainly adds a great dimension to views. My only problem is that it is slippy and cold.
I am sure that you will have fun seeing your kids playing in it.
Take care

Rep Power: 43 | | HOT DIGGITY!! GREAT JOB ON EXERCISE MY FRIEND~!~
No wonder your looking like a hottie in that skirt!! I lived in the snow for 10year in Upstate NY right near the Canadian border, I don't miss it at all!! LOL LOL My boys loved it!! That's where they were born and raised until they were in the 4th grade, then we moved to Oklahoma where it's just icy most the time, and that sucks too. LOL I would rather have snow then ice any day of the week.
Have a wonderful day tomorrow.

MARGARET: I purchased the most brilliant "grippers" that stretch onto the bottoms of my boots/shoes. They are rubber but they have metal spikey things on the bottom so I don't slip on the nasty ice!! They were actually pretty affordable, and make a HUGE difference for me. Hope you can find something like it!
KIM:
Hey, I lived in upstate NY as a kid. We lived in a small village called Lima; nearest city was, I think, Rochester. I just remember how GORGEOUS it was in Fall time, when all the leaves turned such mighty colors. Also I do recall that they had the worst winter in 100 years whilest we were there. Lucky us. People were literally trapped in their homes, as they snow was up to the roof tops! No kidding. This was in the Bicentennial year of 1976! When I was indeed very young... hee hee

Rep Power: 25 | | HMPH! Phooey on that old bag, Aunt Flo! I am reluctant to even get weighed in tomorrow, as it is so obvious I am retaining. And crampy. And, dare I say, possibly even a tad CRANKY ? Mooo-haaa-haaa-haaa! (That is my attempt at an evil laugh).
At any rate, I did my usual workout whilst watching Biggest Loser today. I simply jog in place, do lunges, situps, whatever for the whole time the show is on. I surely do need a bath once it's over! I love that show! It always inspires me. Not to mention Oprah's amazing WL show yesterday, with folk who have lost HUNDREDS of pounds the old fashioned way - eating less and moving more! Or at least eating less junk and more healthy food, and moving more. Very inspirational!
Off to work evening shift tonight, so TTFN. |

Well done on buying the grippers - they sound really good.
If you are not in any challenges where you need to weigh - and you dont want to weigh - then dont weigh.
I weigh every day - Aunt Flo or not - I just cannot stand not knowing. I think that it is with having been as big as I have been. When I first put on weight it happened so unbelievably quickly - if I didnt weigh I would imagine something far worse than it would be. I have long since come to terms with the notion that I should weigh every day for life.
I am sure that Sheryl has posted in various diaries that exercise done as Aunt Flo visits burns more calories. When you stop retaining water there may be extra joy at the scales for all those TV watching workouts that you have been doing this week. And motivation too - well worth watching TV for all that.
I hope that the crankiness doesnt get you down.
Take care
Love
