Rep Power: 89 | | What!? I thought you were only 22 like me.
Don't worry about your weight loss next week. I'm sure Bella will pick up your slack, as she's having this week that should be gone by then. And who knows about me--I might just surprise myself and drop 2lbs....hahahahahahaaha
I think the non-accumulative affects us better b/c we didn't have a big loss last week like most teams did. We'd still have a lot of catching up to do if the MILFs got to carry over their 11.5lb loss from last week.
Have a great weekend! I hope you don't get any snow like we've got atm. |

Well we did end up getting our "accumlitive" snow. Bleck!
I would love for it to all melt before tomorrow morning but that is not likely to happen. And realistically that would create lots and lots of problems for people in low lying areas with flooding.
*Sigh*
So did you guys get any of that snow that was being forecast for you?
I hope not. Even one snow fall is one to many in my opinion!
Well here's hoping that you are having a great day!
I am still sick so am having a ho-hum sorta day.
I'll catch ya later. |

The frightening thing is that I still only feel like I am 22.
I always think that the weightloss aspect can be more down to good luck than anything else. Naturally - it wont happen unless you put in the hard work (maintaining control of food and doing the exercise) - but we both know that you can do all that and still see a gain. Thankfully those gains tend to come off and we can normally get down to the low weight we have already established.
As far as the challenge goes - if your metabolism gets sorted out you may start getting all those losses that you are owed (carry me over the next 2 weeks) and our team will do really well. In all honesty the main thing is that we stay focused and all keep trying like we are. The rest will be bound to come eventually - and the challenge is just a tool to keep us on track. Naturally we like to put up a decent fight (there is nothing wrong with applying a little strategy) - we always like to give those that win a bit of a run for their money.
I suspect that you are right about the benefits to us of a clean slate.
Sorry that you still have snow. In all honesty there has been some torrential rain over the past three days but luckily both Thursday and Friday it stayed dry for my long walk. The afternoon laps have been dry Friday and today but torrential rain (and hailstones yesterday) started again within a couple of minutes of me getting in both days. This morning it was light rain for the main of the long walk - then about a mile into it there started being an occasional minute of snow flakes in among the rain. Nothing settled anywhere and I wouldnt have been aware of it if I hadnt been out in it. Worse weather is still forecast.
Take care
Love

I was just telling Kimberly that technically there was some slight snow except I would not have known about it if I had not been out walking. It was so slight. Worse weather is still forecast so we will wait and see.
I am sorry that the weather is so bad where you are. I realise how lucky we are with the weather in comparison.
I hope that your flu is a lot better.
Take care
Love

Rep Power: 89 | | Congrats on the new low!! You are so close to the 140s.
I see you have a start on the salmon eating.
I'm glad the weather's been decent for your walks, at least, and that it stays that way. Today was sunny here, and so the ice and most of the snow is gone.
I only feel 22 most of the time, too--so I don't think it's shocking or bad that you feel that way, as well. |

Rep Power: 10 | | Wow! I guess I haven't checked out your diary in a few days! I can't believe you are already at 152......you are quickly coming down and catching up to me! It seems like everyone keeps moving and I am at a standstill! Hopefully you will be at goal in a few months! At the rate you are going, you will no likely be there very soon!!!!! I am so excited for you! You truly are an inspiration!
Great job on eating your salmon! I can say for sure that is one challenge I will NOT do! |

Rep Power: 85 | | Thanks for visiting Kimberly and Priti and congratulating me on my recent new low weight. Only to be expected - my weight is up a little from there. This is so often the case - but it is always so nice to know that territory is reclaimed. I honestly dont expect to lose any more weight for the next two weeks. I will be lucky if I dont go back over 11 stone (temporarily with water retention). We will all get there as quickly as our bodies allow. The fact is that we all all motivated and working hard, we are all seeing results (although never as quick as we would really like), and we will all get there in the end.
My plans are all coming together nicely. I have been saying for ages that Weight Watchers seem to do a promotion after Christmas and one at Easter where you can register for free so just have to pay the meeting fee. I always knew that the Christmas one was too early to fit into my plans as I wanted to join when I was overweight but not too big. I dont want to pay the meeting fees for years - but I do want to get all their information on handling maintenance and I do want to get the free lifetime membership that you get when you get to goal. Well my memory was right. It is Easter Sunday today and Weight Watchers have started advertising that you can register for free up until 24th May. My weight is currently about 12 pounds above the point where I get a "normal" BMI. I have a window of opportunity where I can reduce my weight further and still join with minimal cost with a BMI which is overweight - but not too much so. All I then need to do is attend and pay fees until I get to a goal weight which I need to agree with them. Looking at their website they seem to be happy with something that gives a BMI between 20 and 25 and involves a minimum loss level. I have heard that they like to see people aiming to lose at least 7 pounds. Anywhere that I would plan to stop certainly fits these criteria.
I eat so much salmon it is silly. Tescos had it on special offer up until Saturday - so over the past week and a half I have actually bought 4 whole sides of salmon - each one costing between £8 and £9. That is actually half price. I cut it into individual portions before freezing. My freezer and the chiller area of the fridge is full of salmon.
I wonder how Dawn is getting on with eating it for the roadblock. I will keep on weighing mine so that I know where I am with things just in case she encounters problems.
There was definitely some snow here this morning - both before and during my long walk. It didnt lie at all so no-one would guess looking out that it had happened.

Rep Power: 89 | | lol@you and your salmon!! :rolf: I got H some smoked salmon that was on sale. He loves it with Carr's water crackers and was eating this morning, and going on and on about how much he loves it.
I see your devious WW plan is about to come to fruition.
Snow that doesn't stick doesn't count. Happy Easter! |

Rep Power: 13 | | Weight Watchers sounds like a good idea for you Marg. Especially the part of maintaing your weight loss. In my mind, this is going to be the most difficult of all phases purely because it lasts the rest of one's life. If you any useful hints, I'd be grateful to hear them. I'm excited for you, Marg. Not only do you *not* have to pay a substantial amount of fees, this is going to be good for you on so many different levels. It's really a Happy Easter for you.
Wow, that's ALOT of salmon. LOL. I honestly think I need to eat more of it. One of my fav meals in the world is grilled salmon or tuna steaks. They just seem to cost an arm and a leg to eat. Because of this, I'd have to say that shrimp is currently my favorite seafood. I could eat shrimp easily three times a week. The whole platter too, if I'm not careful. Thank God for Paul McKenna who taught me how to eat when I'm full and not *stuffed*.
Happy Easter, Marg! I hope it turns out very well for you, hon! |

Rep Power: 85 | | | Thanks for visiting. Happy Easter! Amber, Kimberly, Rae
We do eat quite a lot of salmon and it is normally pretty expensive. I like to stock up when Tescos sell it at half price. A penny saved is a penny earned!
I think that I will get quite a lot of benefit from using WW in maintenance. My pedometer is a WW pedometer and every day it tells me how many WW points I have earned. That could be really useful for trying to ration treats in the future. Over the past week I have earned 46.5 points. It is all quite meaningless but I know that it somehow translates to quite a bit of food.
In addition - it could be a useful way of meeting people since our intention is to eventually relocate back to Newcastle. |

Rep Power: 10 | | Good idea with the WW. You're very smart in your attempt to pay as little money as possible until you become a lifetime member. I think it's good since you seem to be good at figuring out how to take all your weight off, but maintaining is a whole new ballgame. I definitely think that's the hardest part about weight loss. Although my weight shifts haven't been too drastic, I have ranged from 115-140 for the past few years. Often, I will get my weight down and then fall off the path once I get there and go back to 140. It's no fun! | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
