Rep Power: 0 | | I will be skinny! :) Okay so i saw everyones journals and i thought id give it a bash  Here goes......
So ive struggled with my weight for most of my life. I was bullied alot in primary school for it and twice as much in highschool which only made matters worse. Has i am and was a comfort eater, the more they teased the more i ate. Well since i was 12 ive dieted so many times ive lost count LOL Most times ill lose a stone or two, then ill quit my diet and it all goes back on and more.
So i left highschool and went along to college. And would you believe it i actually got bullied there to! You'd think people at 16/17 years of age would be more mature, apparently not though LOL So i left college and decided to take a year out which meant i had to find a job. Well the best job i could get was in a fastfood restraunt (kfc) Which SO didnt help my weight let me tell ya LOL i worked there for around 6 months and ended up at 220lbs my heaviest yet but i am 5"9 so i kinda carried it well.
Once i left it was a major reality check, i was going back to college in the September as i left in March. So i joined the gym and got stuck in LOL ive learned to love exercise, i think i may have become addicted  Its not a bad habit though right? LOL
Well i went to college this September 40lbs lighter and feeling great and im loving every minute of it. But my journey still isnt over with just over 30lbs left im certainly not going to give up now!  I'm struggling with the last few pounds but who doesnt? This site as been very helpful over the last few weeks when ive been close to breaking point
There are alot of inspiring stories from people on here and i hope to be one eventually. I dont have a set time for when id like to achieve my ultimate goal but it would be kool to finally be able to go on vacation and wear a bikini so hopefully June/July  If not then ill get there eventually. So heres my journal as of today.....
Well todays been a good day i got up bright and early and ran for a mile. I later on walked the dog (aprox 4 miles) I couldnt get to the gym today but i will be making up for it tomorow thats for sure!
So today ive ate the following:
Breakfast: ready break and a small banana
Lunch: bagel with low fat cream cheese and some mini rice cakes (yum!)
Dinner:Chicken with pasta and corn
Snack:Mini special K bites
LOTS OF WATER
And i think i may munch on some more fruit later LOL. |

Rep Power: 0 | | So todays been pretty good as ive kept track of my calories! Ive had just below 1500 today which is good and i dont feel hungry which is a miracle!  LOL I havent done any official exercise yet (unless running for the bus this morning counted LOL) um but being at college keeps me on my feet alot, so lots of walking today. And the 5 flights of stairs i continuosly climb up and down.
Im heading to the gym later and im gonna do a "legs, bums and tums" class and "body combat" just after. Which adds up to 1hour and 45mins of exercise. Ill probably do some weights in the gym for around 20 mins after just to burn a few more calories 
So thats me for today............... |

Rep Power: 0 | | Well i manged to stick to my daily calorie intake, well so far  Ive done lots of walking today as ive had a pretty busy day. So maybe that burned up a few calories. Im not going to the gym tonight because im being lazy and cant summon the motivation to drag my ass there LOL
I guess seen as ive got like over a week off as of today, ill put in some major effort starting tomorow. Try to lose 3 lbs by next sunday, "Try" being the main word LOL im finding it virtually impossible these days to make myself exercise or to just keep seeing plateaus through. But i will carry on being slightly overweight now is better than being obese like i was just under 7 months ago. So bring on the fruit and veggies |

| sometimes a night off is the rest your body needs to get more motivation to go next time- just don't take too many nightsin a row off -it becomes habit not doing it then... |

I used to throw discus and was pretty good at it, i won medals and everything. And i saw my coach a couple of weeks ago and he called me to tonight and invited me back to training. So i am now throwing discus twice a week again. Which is awsome because it beats sweating it out in the gym for hours, its so much more fun! 
So yeah am feeling pretty good about today now |

Rep Power: 0 | | Another 1lb gone! Okay 2 lb's would have been great but a pound is fine by me!  So ive been on a up today, ive resisted bad foods too  Ive done lots of walking today and i gave the gym a miss cause my muscles are a bit stiff after the weights session at training last night LOL Ive stuck to my calorie range to, even enough left for an evening snack. So bring on the fruit and yogurt ! 
Well theres me for today, i should have lots to tell you tomorow as i think im gonna do this 10 mile walk. But lets see how the weather is |

Rep Power: 0 | | Okay today i managed to stick to my calorie range and thats about it. Im so tempted to go eat loads of chocolate right now cause im having such a bad day. I know this will sound really perfetic but i let my sister loose on my hair and it is now black! From platnum blonde to black! Should have been brown but shes wrecked it  Now im really pissed off and feel like eating the entire contents of the fridge. And i know there are far worse things that could happen to me but still im in a rotten mood now. I wont give in though *fingers crossed* |

Rep Power: 0 | | Hi Jadeypadey! Your thread caught my attention, "I will be skinny" too lol! Actually it seems we have a lot in common. I was always a bit chubbier then the other kids and become very sensitive about it. I've been on and off dieting for as long as I can remember, and we're talking elementary school. I am 19 years old, 5'9 and 155Lbs. The heaviest I weighed was 170Lbs during the summer... and I just decided that was it. I used to tell myself I would rather be dead than over 160Lbs - I know that sounds incredibly superficial. I just find I'm a lot happier when I feel good about my body. My goal is 145Lbs. I'm a medium build so 145Lbs is slender... once I got down to 135Lbs and people started telling me I looked to thin, so I think 145 is healthy.
I definitely know what you mean about eating when you're angry. When I'm in a bad mood, or stressed out about exams, I just want to eat everything. But it feels so much better resisting the urge to binge.
It's really impressive how much you workout... that is definitely my weakness. I eat about 1500 calories a day, but I only workout about 3 times a week. I have a crazy week of exams but after that I'm going to try to pick it up. |

Good luck & all the other generic stuff.  | Lol i always eat when im angry, when am sad too :P Well im learning to like now, my hair that is lol Its growing on me and id prefare not to chemically strip it as that will really damage it. And i managed to not binge eat which is a plus, just cried a bit LOL but am over it now |

I have a crazy week of exams but after that I'm going to try to pick it up. | OMG we really do have quite alot in common  Im 5"9 with a medium frame, i wish i was at 155lbs but ill be there soon  It would be good to watch eachothers progress. Yeah i do exercise alot my mum hates me exercising so much but its just become routine for me. I exercise everyday now though since i started training for discus again. But yeah exams can totally get in the way of exercise, just focus on doing well exercise can wait as long as you eat right huh?

Rep Power: 0 | | Well today ive done really well ive stuck to 1500 calories  I took the dog on a 4 mile walk, an hour of cardio and some leg weights at the gym, an ab attack class and body combat. After finishing there i went to the track and threw discus for 2 hours and did more weight training. So yeah right now im shattered, and its gonna hurt in the morning! LOL
I got my weights routine off my coach tonight, so i have to start that tomorow to gain strength. Ive got alot of work to do if im gonna be in shape for the competitions next summer. Maybe ill manage another gold medal *crosses fingers*
