It is always nice to see movement in the right direction on the scales.
I am sorry about the blisters. This dyshidrosis seems to be a horrible condition for you. I know that you will know how best to treat these blisters. I get quite a lot of blisters - but they are all from walking - and I burst them as soon as possible and bandage them up.
Your shins were probably hurting because the blisters caused you to walk with a slightly awkward gait. You did very well to walk 1.5 miles in such circumstances.
Don't worry about forgetting to wear a pedometer for the day - your body knows how many steps you did and you will lose the weight accordingly. It is nice to remember to wear it - as you get the buzz from seeing the number.
You must try to eat before 6 p.m. See how I tell you things that you already know!! It really is not good for your body to starve it for so long. For one thing - if you get too hungry you run a risk of eating anything that comes to hand which may not be a sensible solution.
I am a big fan of weetabix. With 3 weetabix I can last for so long - and I can get it ready to eat in less than a minute.
My hubby has had to get used to the house not being too smart. I have told him that it is not going to have much priority until my weight is where I want it. See how tough I am with him.
Take care
Love

Rep Power: 8 | | I'm So bad! I didn't make it to the gym today. My other daughter had a dental appt. during the time I would normally go to the gym. I felt crappy about not going, but I will go tonight, for sure.
And so when I hopped on the scale after NOT going to the gym this morning, I was SO suprised to see it read 192.3. Count 'em baby! LOL Last night I weighed myself and it said 193.6. It usually goes up a bit during the day, and I don't worrry too much about that, but 193.6 was still a loss. Imagine my suprise when I saw the scale read 192.3 TWICE within 2 hours of each weigh in. I'm keeping those numbers!!
Yeah, my foot still hurts, but I'm not going to let that hinder my walking. Actually, the itch is far worse than the hurt.
Hubby just got home and we are going out to dinner tonight and then to the gym afterward. Since he's home, I am going to get off the pc and spend some time with him.
I'll write later.

Spending time with hubby is definitely better than spending time on the PC.
Congratulations on the weight loss.
Dont feel crappy about not going to the gym. Sometimes life gets in the way - and your daughter's dental health is important. After all - you are going later tonight - and will certainly do more walking than before your project.
I dont like pain / soreness getting in the way of my walking. I like seeing the weight drop more than I dislike the extra pain. It sounds like you are the same way. You can get hooked on the buzz of seeing the scales go down.
Take care
Love

Rep Power: 8 | | Hubby and I just got back from the gym. I walked my 2 miles. For some reason, probably purely psycholigical, I reset the timer after one mile and it seemed to make the second mile go faster. I think it took me about 45 min to walk the 2 miles. My foot didn't hardly hurt at all. Yeah!
Ok, it's time to watch a movie with hubby. Will write tomorrow.

Rep Power: 85 | | Well done at the gym. It's funny how psychology plays a part - sometimes it defies logic - but that is the way that it is. I am pleased that your foot was a lot better. |

Rep Power: 8 | | The sites been down most of the day again so I didn't get to post my exercise. I walked 2 miles @ 45 min. today. I didn't go to the gym twice today.
I have some good news. I fit into my size 16 jeans!! They slid on very easily. Yeahhhhh!!! My scale earlier today said 192.4. That's good.
I'm not going to be online tonight. Hubby and I are gonna watch the fights tonight. I hate all sports, but I love boxing! Weird, I know..lol
ok, I'll post tomorrow. Hopefully the site will be ok then.
Oh, and thanks guys for posting in my journal, and a HUGE thanks for your support!!

It is wonderful news about you getting into size 16 jeans. It is moments like that makes all the effort worth while. I bet your husband was impressed when he saw you in those jeans!
Well done for getting 2 miles done. It is great that you found time to do that. I am sure that it helps to do something each day - I think it helps to keep you focused and of the mindset that this project is here to stay.
I hope that you and hubby enjoyed the fights.
Take care

Rep Power: 8 | | I didn't get a chance to write last night. Hubby and I went to the gym and I walked 1.5 miles on the treadmill and did 20 min. on the bike.
The weather man said we were going to get snow flurries this week. I guess we've been lucky that so far, we've had mild weather. I'm not looking forward to the cold, or the snow. I despise the winter. I have Seasonal Affective Disorder and it really kicks my butt in the winter. I'm hoping the exercising, along with my light box will help.
Hubby left this morning for the week. He's hoping he stays at a hotel that has a nice gym. He'll be in Canada all week.
I'll write in my journal after I go to the gym this morning.
Anne
PS. Omega and loseforreal--- I took a big chance trying those pants on. I haven't been able to fit into them since last winter. I am going to have to dig out my old jeans now. That's one job I'm not going to mind doing!
Shanika--good to see you. I read in your journal that you couldn't get on because the site was down. I know that's frustrating. I really have gotten attached to this site and it is hard when it's down. |

Well done for all the exercise done at the gym. It all counts and works in your favour. The scales and more importantly the jeans demonstrate this. And I know that you will not mind sorting out which old clothes you can now fit into.
Snow flurries!!!! Poor you!! I think that the exercise will help. When things go right there is such a buzz that it is quite hard to come down from. Hooked on weight loss success.
Have you tried homeopathy for your SAD? It may be worth seeing a homeopath and seeing what they would recommend for you. Seasonal Affective Disorder SAD and homeopathy - by Miranda Castro
You will miss your hubby while he is away - even though you say that you are used to it. He will see an even slimmer you when he returns home!
Take care
Love

Rep Power: 8 | | I walked 1.5 miles today and rode the bike for ten min. @ 2 miles. I had to push myself to go today. Once there I was fine, but it was a struggle not to crawl back into bed.
Margaret, just this year I bought a light box. It is helping and so is the exercise. I hope it continues to help the further we get into winter. I just recently joined a support group for SAD, and I am learning lots of new things that might help. I did check out that site and I will read more into it. Thanks for passing along the link.
Now, I've got to go find something to eat. I have a busy day ahead of me, but I hope to post in other's journals sometime today.

Well done for getting the exercise in.
Sometimes I take a bit of convincing myself to get out walking. I find that I am leaving the house over an hour later (sometimes 2 hrs) than just a month ago. I go on the internet and stuff like that instead of going straight out after my husband has left for work. I think it is harder as it gets colder and the daylight hours reduce. Often in the evening I do laps in the dark.
Re SAD - I am pleased that things seem a little better. We have had a light box for years. My husband used to use it. I think that things have got easier for him since he changed career and reduced his work stress levels.
We are having fish tonight. My weight went up today so I am hoping that a fish night goes some way to sorting out last night's fiasco.
Take care
Love
