I did eat to much today, not bad though considering the last 2 days. I had 2,500 calories, 1,000 to many. I wonder if I will have a weight gain tomorrow. I ran 2 times today at 9:00 AM 4 miles & at 9:00 PM 4 miles. I have really been tired running & I found out it was the heat. This evening my run felt incredible. The reason I ran a second time today is my wife & son went to pick up my daughter & my sons girl friend from the airport. So instead of eating I went for a run. I burned about 1,900 calories today running.

9:00 AM run - 4 miles 57:46
9:00 PM run - 4 miles 46:54

What a great day for exercise you had yesterday! I envy anyone who can run, I've never really been able to do it myself. Hopefully you're 2lb loss will stay off too! Take care and have a nice weekend!

Wow--EIGHT miles in one day! You're amazing--and inspirational. I got up this morning and took the dog for a walk. It was only about a mile (just over 2000 steps), but it's a start. I have company coming for a bbq tonight, but I'm going to try to fit in an evening walk, too!

I do notice you never actually post what you eat; you know we closet eaters have to be accountable for every bite, right?

Wow, you are doing EXCELLENT with your exercise. I wish I could run but my knees are not the best. I'm thinking about buying a bike though. I commend you on your willpower too!

Wow have not posted since Wed. the 7 th. Have been busy with my sons graduation from high school. It was a very good time. I have been pretty good eating to even though the numbers don't say so.

I don't think I have ever mentioned this. My son that just had his graduation entered his High School talent contest a couple of months ago. He was like the 5 th. one to perform. He was up against all these singers, bands, dancers etc. What did my son do? A poem, (The Raven) I'm not into poems. A poem, not very people like poems. I was just hoping that I would not be embarrassed for him. Well when my son got up and performed, I was speechless. It was incredible if I was not a guy I would have cried. Talk about being proud. To me he was the best that night. He has some amazing talent. He did get second place & won $50.00. The reason it was in my mind is he performed it last night at the party we had for him.

Silver Sonnet, You are right I don't write down what I eat. The only time I do is if I'm at the same weight for 5 or 6 days. I do count my calories though. I tend to eat the same things over & over again, so I have all the calories written on a 2 pieces of paper & have them on the fridge.

Welcome back, Chip And your son sounds like my kind of guy; I love poetry!

I keep all my calories in FitDay so I don't have to write them down, but I DO have to record the food, so I guess that's why I was thinking that way.

Excellent work with the running. I keep saying I'm going to try, but I think I'd drop dead on the spot if I did, out of shock if nothing else :P

Chip, all that running and weighing every day--don't forget that muscle weighs more than fat. On the other hand, eating too much can be a problem. You just keep running and posting here, and I know you'll get back to losing on a regular basis

Silver Sonnet, Thanks! I'd say I know 80% of the time if I'm going to lose weight or gain weight. I don't know if everyone knows, but I have a feeling we know deep down if were doing what it takes. I know I have not been eating how I should.

I forgot yesteday put me at 3 weeks without sugar. How time flies. It was so hard 3 weeks ago. I don't even think about it anymore. WOW

You are doing very well. You are really dropping the pounds. I thought I was losing quickly but you are leaving me in the dust.

I too can usually feel if I have lost or gained. And of course, we all know what it takes. The question is how disciplined we are.
