Chip,
Good for you for coming back - yes, it is hard, and there's the embarassment factor and the motivation (or lack there of) etc...

But look at where you are TODAY - you are 75.25 pounds lighter then your highest weight. You got back on track after 10 - aren't you proud that you got back on track before you got to 50?

Sometimes I think we all need a break from this constantness of losing weight and getting fit, the trick is learning to come back before too much time has passed!

Good luck getting and keeping the family on board, it is so hard when they're not - so many times I've thought if I just lived by myself, I could get this weight off in NO time.

It's certainly not worth the cost though

Keep up the good work - each day is a new opportunity to start fresh!
I'm glad you're back!

Hey there Chip,

you can talk about it because that's what we're here for. We all know and understand and if you can't tell us, who are you going to tell? We all have bad days, so just make sure you get back on this crazy roller coast ride tomorrow!

I've read parts of your diary before, but this is my first post. I just want to say hi and offer some support.

Miss_Kallie, Thanks & your right. Nice to meet you.

Did not eat to good today. Did do my 4 mile run. Made the mistake of not taking water today. I think maybe the temp. on the computer was wrong when I started it never felt that cool.

Hey Chip,

Good job on running. I didn't take water on my walk today either. What a mistake eh. It was very warm out.

So what consitutes a bad eating day for you???Are there things that trigger the bad eating??? I'm just curious. Is there anything we can do to help you stay on track???

Just want to offer support in anyway I can.

A I have posted that usually means I'm not doing good. Yet not the case this time I'm doing good, not great. Getting more on track. Ran Tues. took tues. off, and ran today.

4.25 Miles / 50:35 / 7:00 AM / 80 - 80 DEGREES / MAYBE THE HEAT WAVE HAS BROKEN, I SURE HOPE SO. THIS IS THE FIRST DAY UNDER 100 DEGREES IN AT LEAST A COUPLE OF WEEKS, MAYBE THE WHOLE MONTH.

Great to see you're still running your four miles, Chip. As you know, I took my two month leave but I'm back now and glad to see you doing good.

Thumbs up I Made It Up The Hill!!!!

That last post should have said - I haven't posted in a few days, that usually means I'm not doing good. Thats why you should read what you wrote before you press submit.

I have a hill that I try to run up once a month or so. Sometimes more sometimes less. I think it had been a couple of months since my last try. Its a very steep hill, very steep. Today I made it, what a feeling of satisfaction. No one is around so when I made it to the top I screamed & did the Rocky thing.

5.25 Miles / 1:05:45 / 6:00 PM / 82 - 78 DEGREES /

Ran yesterday morn. around 7:00 AM a cool morning, but still about 5 degrees above normal. It was very tough to keep going for some reason. Today was a day off. Have not been eating to good.

Saturdays run

Hey Chip, glad to see your still plugging away here. I wish I could say the same. I'm up to about 220 now (gained 22 lbs)....not doing so good. I think getting your family on board is the best idea. I obviously do not have my family on board, not that it would do much good with me not being on board myself. OK, so how did you go away for so long and get back? I cant seem to find the umph to get started again. In the meantime the scale needle keeps creeping up. I'm back though... it may take a while to get momentum again, but it will come! Keep it up!
