actually its 3 meals and 3 snacks.

a lite dessert every other day

I slept like crap last night...alot of nightmares...do vitamins give you nightmares?

I have had today (and i am hungry)

7:30 am A protein shake with 2 frozen strawberrys blended in
10:00 am An Apple and a handful of almonds
11:45 amA salad and 1 cup of veggie soup and a very little yogurt with probiotics..meijer brand
2:30 pmA banana and handful of almonds
3:45 pm About 1 cup brown rice and some left over salmon from last night

to drink
about 36 ounces of water, some lemonade crystal lite and a cup of tea and one cup of coffee.

I wasnt supposed to eat the rice/salmon but i was very hungry. i drank water and tried to evaluate my hunger and on a scale of 1 to 5 i was about a 4 after the banana and almonds

so now my hunger is like a 3 out of 5. I think I am going to have to restrategize for lunch....apples do nothing for me...everyone says they are filling but not me.....any suggestions welcome.....

I had talapia and a coleslaw recipe out of my You on a diet cookbook and some grilled zucchini for dinner.

My diet book said every other night I can have a dessert type dish in place of my evening snack...like frozen yogurt instead of veggies/fruit. So i had a cup of frozen vanilla yogurt with some strawberries.

I didnt exercise (bah)...thats something i need to hop on the bandwagon there. I have my kickboxing bag and i looked at it last night but never did it..bah....

I also didnt drink anywine last nite... :-)

no diet pop either...but i have a diet quenchers from meijer today, its like flavored water..but i notice the first ingredient is a fructose type ingredient so i guess thats not good is it.

but anyway

i have had a shake today (protien with 3 frozen strawberries blended in) and for snack some walnuts. I forgot to eat my apple for my snack so i guess i should do that because i am supposed to

its hard to learn to eat every few hours.

but all is well and i feel less bloated today

hope eveyone is doing great.

Kare

Honestly, that doesn't sound like enough calories or protein to me, although it's hard to tell with no serving sizes.

Smile Lemonade Diet

I am trying to jumpstart my results too, and I love the lemonade diet. I did it a long time ago (when I was pretty thin but thought I was fat) and lost 13 pounds in 7 days. It is a great motivator when you see the numbers on the scale dropping.

Let me know if you want the recipe!

Hi Karebare!

Hope all is well today! Here are the new tips I learned....

figure out how much you want to weigh, your goal weight, and then x's that by 100. This will be the amount of calories you need to eat to maintain that weight.

Ex. I weighed in this morning at 159.0 lbs. If I want to maintain that weight I need to eat 1590 cal. today. But if I want to lose weight I need to either eat less cal. or workout more to get rid of cal. Very interesting article I read.

Also drink water thru out the whole day. Have a great day!

Smile This is not a lifestyle, it's a detox

Evee,
Here is the recipe, do this "diet" for at least 10 days to clease the toxins.

You will need:
Purified Water
Lemons
Cayenne Pepper
Grade B Organic Maple Syrup
Organic Sea Salt (I buy Celtic, gray sea salt)
Smooth Move Laxative Tea (Any brand with Senna is fine)
Peppermint Tea

The night before you start drink a packet of tea
First thing in the moring drink 4 cups of water with 2 tsp. sea salt, straight away (This is totally gross but it literally flushes all the stuff right out of you, espeially the first couple of days you won't want to leave home for a couple of hours in the morning, and if you feel like you have to go to the bathroom...YOU DO!)

Don't make the lemonade too far in advance as it will lose its potency.
I make it in the following batches:
I take 1 bottled water, the juice from 1 lemon, 1/4 c. organic grade B syrup, and 1/5 tsp. Cayenne Pepper and mix it up.

Yo need to drink this mixture at least 3 times per day upto 6 times per day.

You may drink peppermint tea periodically throughout the day if you would like. NO OTHER FOOD!

Let me know if you have any questions. If you decide to do it, GOOD LUCK!

I was so busy yesterday that I didnt get a chance to post. I was at the ice rink teaching skating from 9:40 to 1:30...and I actually broke a sweat teaching. I need my skates sharpened.....i wish i was not "old" and could keep in shape.

Let me see if I can remember what I ate...

for breakfast, A protien bar

for snack...a diet coke and banana (hehehe, yes thats true)..this was at the rink

for lunch...a mini whole wheat bagel, a chicken breast and some steamed califlower

for dinner... a protien shake with strawberries, some carrots/green pepper with a little dressing i made out of lite cream cheese..about tblespoon.

oh and i was bad...the hubby wanted to go to amartini bar and smoke a cigar and watch the game...i had a cosmo and then a regular martini..sigh.....i am gonna drink tons of water today..

then i had a chicken wing and another little mini bagle later in the evening..after i should have...argh

so not too bad....

today i have had a mini bagle with a little strawberry jelly (no sugar) and a little yogurt, with priobiotics....

Hi Karebare! You did great at the ice rink, bet you lost a lot of cal. during that time, so having a few treats with hubby should be fine!! I was bad yesterday too, we went to a chinese buffet, and I was good until dessert, had 1/4 cup tap. pudding and 1 fried donut, small one. But then drank a lot of water! It happens, but keep smiling (it's time for our diet rootbeer, lol.) Have a great day!

Just did a 30 minute workout

I didnt drag the treadmill out cuz i didnt feel like putting on my tshoes but i did like 15 minutes of boxing the bag and low impact aerobics (tappnig my foot on my ex ball, or low impact jumping jacks where u step side to side). then i got my exercise ball out and 16 pound hand weights..(i thought they were 10 pounds, but there was 8 pounds on each side) and did an arm workout while sitting on the ball. I did crunches and also put the ball between my back and the wall and did squats...kind of a mini version of the hour workout my trainer does. i think i may go to the mall and walk 1/2 hour.

i sweated pretty good

thanks for the rbeer evee.
