well, no need to be proud anymore...i ate the pita bread for a 3pm snack and had a bite size 3 musketeer damnit

but i came home and ate whitefish/a little brocolli and cheese and some whole wheat pasta.

i felt guilty about the pita bread and 3 musketeer (and the brocolli and cheese) so when i got home i used the kickboxing bag for 10 minutes and then walked on the treadmill for 25 minutes..then i lifted a few weights.....

i hope i didnt mess up too badly

bgmgc is on a distinguished road
I've found that when we deny ourselves those sinful little cravings we end up binging more in the long run. Think of it this way- it could've been a KING size instead of a bite size. Kudos for you having the self control i didnt when i first started! My husband brought me home one of those huge candy bars you get at the grocery store and there was no hope left. Luckily, karma ended up getting me in the end. I got a bad stomach virus the next day and wasnt able to keep anything down.

If there is one thing that makes you never want to look at food again its being sick.

But i came out of my sickness with a new goal: i refuse to put junk into my body...i mean ive only got one right?

good luck karebear i know you can do it!

2 lbs down & 20 to go!

No need to feel guilty over either bread or a tiny candy bar. Either they fit into your plan, in which case they're just food, or they don't fit into your plan, in which case you get back on track and move on.

i am really anxious to weigh in monday with my trainer. (good anxious)

i did have a snack late last night....some baked lays chips, a whole wheat pita with a little cheese. i think i am pmsing..cuz i can feel it in my tummy...

i still feel pretty strong but i know how my eating pattern gets...carb city...argh

for breakfast, i drank a little extra protein shake with a banana/raspberries..

i had a salad and some grilled veggies/chicken with just a sprinkling of whole grain rice on the mixture. just to give it some "bulk"

i just filled my water jug but i feel kindof hungry still..i have an apple and tomato juice i can rely on if if the water doesnt work

yesterday was a crazy day...i decided to go shopping and went to the mall and walked 30 minutes...

my hubby wanted to go to the casino and i had every intention of eating light all day and then eating healthy when we went to dinner.

I did a protein shake early (around 9:00 am) and went shopping, I wanted to go to the cemetary and visit my dtrs grave right from the mall, but i was starving so I got a grilled chicken sandwich fries and diet coke....i took the bun off the chicken and ate the chicken, and then 1/2 the bun....i then ate probably 8 fries.....my dtr LOVED mcdonalds so i put the other fries on her headstone....

so we get to the casino and my hubby buys me a glass of wine...and of course cuz i was hungry i get a buzz...he then buys me another glass...i tell him...I gotta get something to eat. I was so hungry that when we sat down I ate a piece of bread out of the breadbasket.....we ordered and split a greeksalad (i didnt put dressing on mine) and a chicken kabob and carrots. I also took a tiny bit of mashed potatoes......we walked quite a bit at the casino....and i ended up having 3 glasses of wine...bad bad bad..

so this morning i was feeling very very guilty.....so i did a Billy Blanks taebo workout tape and 20 minutes on the treadmill...i was sweating pretty good after that...

i drank about 60 ounces of water (i took someones advice and made some regular brewed ice tea...kind of weak...and replaced my diet pop with that)....

i have done the protein shake for breakfast, a salad and some northern beans for lunch, 2 bowls of raisin bran and soy milk (i was dying for something sweet to eat and it really hit the spot....about 20 lowfat cheezits and a cup of turkey chili (with very few beans)....

i am really worried about my weigh in tomorrow....i am not so much worried about if i lose or not as my attitude if i DONT lose or if I only lose 1 pound...i have worked pretty hard this week but really its just week 1....i have exercised and tried to eat pretty good, although i have had a few slipups.....

i just hope i can keep the right attitude

My foot is bothering me probably from the exercise...I bought new shoes but I still seem to have trouble with my feet (damn years of cramming them in little skates). I took a motrin and ate a bowl of raisin bran and soy milk for breakfast....hoping that the motrin will kick in before i see my trainer.

still worried about the weigh in...afraid i did all this work this week for nothing just because i had a bad night on saturday....just hoping to keep my motivation level high even if my weigh in doesnt go as planned...if i need to do my daily affirmations and when i weigh in be excited and grateful even if its just 1/2 pound....and if i dont lose anything i know that i shouldnt quit because its just a number and everything i have done this week has been toward a healthier me (except the wine)...and the tiny candy bar and the bread....arghhhhhh

okay okay okay..keep your mind positive Kare

Hey, you lost a pound! And that's a pound more than you would have lost otherwise.

Your trainer is right - be patient.

Losing one pound is great! You're moving in the right direction. Sometimes I find that when my clients think they worked really hard and don't lose as much as they would have liked to they see the scale go down more the next week. Not sure why, maybe it's turning fat into muscle, or maybe the scale likes to torment us, or it just takes time for our weight to catch up with us. Anyway, don't let it get you down.

my computer crashed so i am on my old harddrive (runs so slow). my computer is still under warranty so i had circuit city clean off the files on the drive...i didnt want to lose any of my dtrs' things...and i can reformat the drive..they dont think its totally crashedbut something obviously happend with windows.

i was okay with my diet yesterday..........

oatmeal for breakfast
a turkey burger (with mushrooms) on wwbun

and i had a few wholewheat tortillas with a little cheese melted on them for a snack
a small vodka and diet tonic with a twistof lime (probly why i ate the tortillas)
