Rep Power: 7 | | Hi Karebare! Finally ran to store and picked up soy milk, like you suggested. Put it in my raisin bran this a.m., not bad, actually pretty good, so thanks for that suggestion! Rep for you!!
Walking the mall is great exercise, I'm thinking of buying a pedometer to see how many steps I actually take in a day.
Your diet seems great, keep up the great work! |

Rep Power: 26 | | Hey you've lost a pound already. Whatever you're doing is working. We're in the same boat. I could surely stand to lose 50 too but I'll be happy with 35. Let's do this together!
Next week you'll lose another pound. I think the beginning is the toughest part of the journey because we have no results for our efforts but once those pounds start adding up our confidence grows and it WILL get easier.
Let's go! |

Rep Power: 18 | | So everyone (the three people who are visiting me ;-)...stand up and give me cheers for going to my brothers bday party at my moms last night and NOT eating pizza or oyster stew....now i know that is an odd combination BUT my mom asked my brother what he wanted for his birthday dinner and he said oyster stew which basically is a stick of butter, cream and oysters heated up...the kids of course werent going to eat that so it was pizza for them.
i went grocery shopping yesterday and spent 250 bucks...it is so much easier with the hubby though dieting with me....he is on the band wagon and this morning when i hugged him i could feel his tummy smaller...he said "right" and rolled his eyes when i complimented him but its so true...he seems smaller. he doesnt want to get on the scale..i think he is about at 320.....i am very proud of him...together we are a fierce team against the battle of the bulge. My youngest got invited to florida and she too says she is going to get healthy eating with us but I noticed last night she still hit the pizza.
we played cards (eukre...sp?) and I was on fire...started out slow but we ended up winning 2 rounds of the 3 played....it was wierd though a few years back the beer woulda been flowing and shots and here we are a bunch of oldies (44 - 49) drinking coffee....no wonder my playing was better without the booze....
I told the hubby i was having ONE small piece of cake and I did....very small sliver of strawberry cake.
I am reading Nutrition for Idiots....it is really focusing on the food pyramid
I got this idea to make a egg stratta like i make for christmas...so I took this little dish I have from Pampered Chef..its maybe 7 inches by 4 inches oval...and put 2 slices of whole wheat lite bread in the bottom (torn up)...then on top of that I poured a 1/2 container of Southwestern Egg Beaters and let it sit an hour..then baked it at 350 for 45 minutes...oh ya i sprinkled maybe 3 TBS of chees over it....I would say there is 3 servings maybe in it (3/4 cup each) and I ate it with a small can of unsweetened grapefruit juice...yummy.
We are getting more creative with our cooking...last night for dinner I took chicken breasts and put taco seasoning on them and then made soft chicken tacos with whole wheat tortillas...and then black beans...
I skated yesterday but coaching isnt too much about moving on the ice....today i have already done my arms/abs with the ball and i am going to walk a little later
I had not only my breakfast stratta, but a few almonds when i got hungry i little bit ago.......and a few peapods....
hubby made chili (already) but i am going to try to wait till the game comes on at 3 to eat it....
boy i am a windbag today......
tv is boring...i should be doing laundry....that would at least make me move around alittle more than watching reruns of America's Next Top Model.....
okay time to visit evee and check out some other journals...
hugs to all (3) people who visited...
and cheers.... diet rootbeers for us.. |

Rep Power: 18 | | | well shit to bed fred....i totally screwed up last night
hubby says..lets go to the cigar/martini bar cuz it was too cold for him to smoke outside....i go...i dont like martini's, but i get a glass of wine...yummy..i get a second one...still good...i get a third one...damn...now i am totally buzzed and they have a buffet with hommus, pita bread, chicken noodle soup, fattouch....i scarfed.....and i was so buzzed i couldnt drive home......we decide to leave when the packers come on 6:30...and I fall asleep as soon as i get home........so now i am scared to weigh in...i feel like crap...i dont remember after i got home....except a little of the game.....and i am mad at myself....
dangit.

Rep Power: 18 | | i dont know if it will ever warm up arghhhhhhhhhhhh....its like 7 here today..fresh snow on the ground...my dog runs away when i try to get her to go outside.
so i coached yesterday ...from 10:40 - 3:30..on the ice the whole time but not much moving since i am coaching....my ass froze off and my feet were like ice. worst thing is i didnt pack a lunch...so i was starving. i ate cereal with strawberries before i left at 9:30 and at about 1:30 i was dying...of course the concession is all candies and pizza...i didnt know what to choose..i asked for a bagel and they had none, so i ended up with popcorn and i know that the popcorn is made with oil, but i think it was the best choice..i dont know....when i got home my hubby had made venision chili..but i noticed alot of grease on the top....but he gets pissed at me if i comment and so i had a cup of chili with a sesame wasa cracker (2 actually) and then some more strawberries with FF whipped cream.
went to watch my friend play in his band and had a salad at the club...crappy salad with some italian dressing..i think the ladies just bought a bag of salad and put it in a bowl....so at 11:00 at night i am starving again.....i stopped at mcd's and had a plain hamburger and small fry and diet coke...again i know not the best choice but i felt like i needed a cheat....i dont think it was that bad....
i am kind of worried about weighing in....again...the scale scares me so much....but i plan on being good today and drinking alot of water...i drank alot of diet pop yesterday something i had been trying to cut back on....
anyways..........i guess i am doing okay as far as the eathing thing goes....a little cheat here and there but nothing unmanageable....
hope everyones sunday is da bombdiggity
and peace to you
love
