Rep Power: 6 | | Was re-reading my notes... just want to see my goals in print.: i am at 134 right now, I want to reach 120 by the end of August - that is 14 pounds in about 7 months, counting this one. That is a realistic 2 pounds a month.
Hm... That feels very encouraging... i know it is not only possible, I can possibly exceed that. Anyway, 120 is my goal for my 30th birthday on August 31st... just a birthday present for myself.
look at the long term, I would like to lose another 5 pounds after that, and reach a stable weight of 115 pounds - at 5 ft 2 inches, that works out to a BMI of 21. I am comfortable with that - right about the middle of the normal range.
Once I get to 115, I can change my focus to building muscle, and working on my fat / muscle ratio while maintaining a stable weight.
Ideally, i would like to have a well toned body with an optimal fat percentage, in the range of 115 - 118.
So first things first - 120 by August, so keep your eyes on that 2 - 3 pound loss a month, babe!! |

Went below the radar for quite a while, didn't I?
Hm, lots of things happened - We moved to Canada, to Winnipeg, infact! Major haula$$ all over the place, I've been in three cities over the past three months, living out of hotel rooms, eating crappy food.
Result? By June, weight went right back to 142!!! Was so frustrated, started working out again, and am back to 134.5, exactly what the ticker says.. Hit a plateau in July and stayed at 138 the entire month, but lost quite a bit since. Exercise routine is the same - 5 - 7 hours of cardio a week, and what is new is BIKRAM YOGA!!! it is the most intense, energetic exercise I've ever done, andn I'm totally addicted. The weight is just melting off, and I've only been there for about 6 sessions... Initially I thought it was water weight that I was losing, because i sweat like 2 liters through the 90 minute work out, but the weight actually stays off.
All sorts of results kicked in, and i am usually a skeptic about radical results. I mean, my skin cleared up over night - acne scars from two years ago have started to fade, no new breakouts at all, even tone, I man just fabulous skin. My harmones are balanced, my mood is stable, and I had NO PMS this month!!!!! HURRAY!!!!!!
Consequently, no errant hunger pangs, or anxiety related eating moderate but healthy apetite.... It is crazy how things have changed.
I know I wont reach my initial target of 120 before my birthday, but I'm back on the horse baby!!!!
Will try to stay regular on this page from now on.
Ciao! |

Rep Power: 6 | | Hello 'ello. Bikram this morning, weight at 133.5.... A pound lost. Hm!!
Had a liter of water this morning in prep for Bikram. post bikram, had a lovely lovely romaine+mandarin+almond+grilled chicken breast salad. Raspberry vinaigrette dressing on the side, half a slice of toast, coffee. Oh yumm. Life rocks!
i have cereal for DINNER these days... I dont know, I really like it. some plain flakes with a good helping of Kellogs bran straws andd fat free milk. Keeps me full, and the bran does a ton of good for my digestive system.
A week's countdowm till birthday. Am planning to challenge myself to Bikram everyday for this week, So that when i turn thirty next sunday, I would have realized either that I am really strong, or that I am really a fool. Important realizations, both.
We'll see!

Rep Power: 6 | | I just had a monumental idea.
Now, i realize that my original birthday goal of reaching ideal weight is sadly out of reach, but with a week remaining, I can try to break the 60 kilo cieling, which means I've to drop my weight to under 132 - I mean, I've not weighed under 60 kilos (132 lbs) since... oh my GOd, high school!!!
So that will be something to gift myself indeed!!! |

Rep Power: 6 | | yesterday (24 aug) was day 1 of 7 day bikram challange.
Felt a bit tired initially, probably because i was low on salts. But felt fine later on, had a super lunch, super Birthday shopping afternoon, and DESSERT for dinner. a slice of pie, but skipped everything else, so...
Am stoked for today. I feel good, my mind is still and clear. Lovely.
I'll slope off now. Tata! |

Rep Power: 6 | | Oh weight, Sunday was day 2 really, coz i went to bikram on saturday too - so yay! Three days od bikram so far!!! Workout was good yesterday, except that I was still a bit full from lunch, despite the stipulated 3 hour interval. Compression postures were uncomfortable.
So, a session today, and hopefully two tomorrow - just to see if I can make it

Rep Power: 6 | | Thursday - this will be day 6 of my bikram challenge, and I feel great!!
Yesterday, on a whim, i tried two sessions of bikram, spaced out though, not back to back, i am not THAT crazy
I had the good sense to plan things a bit, after deciding to do it. I got through the first session at 9.30 in the morning. got home, showered, and got myself a gatorade. I usually just rehydrate with water because I trust the foods I eat to replenish the rest of the salts, but yesterday, with another sweat party scheduled for the evening, i wanted to play it safe. I was looking for electrolyte mixes really, but gatorade was all i could find.
Didn't want to risk a heavy lunch, so went with a shake - ingredients - a large ripe banana, a fistful of blueberries, a scoop of protein powder, fat free milk. Yummy!!! Filling, but not heavy. The second session was at 6.30, the husband joined me. And it was cool, reallyl! I wasn't tired, it didn't feel any different than my other days, and afterwards, I felt downright euphoric. So much so that the husband and I got home, showered and went out for an impulse dinner. he had chicken thighs and veggies, i had chicken soup. Wonderful, wonderful!! Indulgence was two pieces of garlic bread, no cheese.
So, today was salt water flush - it usually is not too hard for me, and works like a charm but maybe I added too much salt today, and
But it still worked, you know what I mean... OK, too much information. Had juice, proteinshake and fruit today, am feeling really good. Looking forward to my class today - waiting for 5.30 and hydrating like there is no tomorrow
OK, see ya!! |

Rep Power: 6 | | Day 7 today of Bikram... yay! Looking forward to it.
OK, as for changes, I have lost, I am proud to say, 2.5 inches off my mid section - I measure myself around three areas in my midsection - around the narrowest part of my waist, aroudnt eh widest part, which is my lower belly, and around the widest part of my hips. I've lost an inch of my waist, an inch off my lower belly, and .5 inches off my hips
Weight rose up a tiny bit, it was last hovering around 135.. and I am hoping as hell it is because of muscle gain through daily bikram. There is no way I could have gained fat - My eating has been impeccable, and I've been working out every day. PLus, I can pull off a wicked locust pose now after a month of yoga - initially, I could barely get my feet off the ground..
So, I am watching the scales a bit, but the inch tape is leaving me reassured.
New today, I added an hour on the elliptical this morning. That's plan for next week - An hour of cardio at the gym, tread mill/ elliptical or swimming, and Bikram every evening. Let us see how I fare.

Rep Power: 6 | | hey hey hey,
been a while. Well, i succesfully completed my personal 7 day challenge, and what is more, I am continuing with everyday yoga because it feels so great. My old 'starter" aches and pains are gone, now I have new ones. The tissue that connects my hamstrings to my hip hurt like a mother-. So that makes some poses especially difficult. I'll work through it though.
Hm... Weight around 134, but my waist!! For the first time since HIGH SCHOOL, my waist has dropped under 30 - It is now at 29 inches. WOW!!! I have a wasit size number that is smaller than my age number. Thank you GOD!!
So that is where I stand.
Sunday was terrific, I got to spend the whole day on the beach, got to do Yoga with freinds right there in the open, and as a birthday bonus, got to try windsurfing!! nasty spills apart, it was a great day.
Yay!!

had a great weekend. Went away to a lakeside town, just relaxed... was wonderful.
And yoga practice is strong so far this week. Went once yesterday and twice today. There is a twinge in the left knee. Should go away, like all the various twinges in other ares that came and went.
Will try to do as many 2 classes a day as possible this week.
Weight is slowly inching towards 132's, am seeing that number more frequently now. I hope that settles by this weekend.
Bye for now!! |

I FINALLY FINALLY broke the 132 (60 kilo) ceiling. After yoga today, i weighed myself and was at 131.6!!!!!!!!
Well, yeah, caveat, water weight, blah blah blah, but dont be a killjoy, i goot a peek at what it is like to be under 60 kilos!! yay for me!!!
Ok, so... I guess the weight will yoyo between this and 133 for a while, like it did for the last couple of weeks... And if I am lucky and work very very hard and be a very very good girl, i might get to break the 130 cieling soon....
Hm... cool, now immediate goal is to stabilize asap into this under 132 weight, adn tehn start gunning for 130, which will be my new cieling to break!
OK, will slope off now. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
