Rep Power: 6 | | DAMN YOU PLATEAU!!!!!!!!!
Weight stuck adamantly at 132-133 range. Well, I only have myself to blame - While I've been putting in the exercise, eating has been erratic - I went on this 2 week nut craving - between 50 - 100 grams of nuts a day - cashew one day, pistachio the second, almonds the third and so on. Ok, good fats, nutritive, but seriously, focus!!!
yesterday's festive eating, although moderate in quantity, was nasty in quality. i feel sick, sick, sick. Not so much about the calorie bomb, but about the fact that nothinig I ate had an ounce of good nutritive value in it, except sugar and fat. No wonder I woke up today feeling yucky
So, body needs cleaning. Started a saltwater flush today, not a amaster cleanse though, but liquid diet for a week to help with the cleanse. 2 banana+fat free milk+protein powder shakes a day, some grapes, some vegetable juice, water. And oh my cup of coffee in the morning , cant do without THAT :/
After my fist flush this morning, i feel better (but the things that washed out, eewwwwww)
I'll do this for a week - plenty of fruits, veggies, protein powder and milk so i am really well fed, but need to wash my system out completely. usually when i doa cleanse of any sort that involves a SWF, I feel glorious by day 3, relatively toxin free, super clean feeling taht reflects in my mood. Am waiting for that now. Yoga continues on a daily basis of course.
I'll keep this up for a week - an important issue that I am hoping to resolve from all this is I want to break a certain nagging, adamant crave issue that I have. it is never with the same kind of food - for a while, it is nuts, and another time it si chocolates, and so on.
Some deep and honest soul searching tells me that deep inside, i am actually sabotaging my own plans. I need to get to the heart of that issue and weed it out. That is the mental focus for my cleanse this time.
Ok, will try to do a daily update through the cleanse.
Cha-ciao!!
So thats that for now. |

you sound similar to me, only I have a tad more to lose still, I just came back after a 3 month hiatus, to lose the end of it!
I also like to cleanse, I thought about doing a liver cleanse but my friend did it and she threw up like crazy when she did, and honestly I do not fancy that!
Every now and then I do a cucumber and apple weekend (or I try) and drink like 5 l of green tea to flush out the crap that accumulates everywhere. I find I feel wonderful afterwards. I still have to do a week long cleanse but at the moment I can't because I just moved and will start a very demanding job in a few days, but I will see how you do it and maybe in the christmas holidays I feel inspired and do it.

Rep Power: 6 | | Hi Camy, welcome to my diary
Do keep checking in, I'll be posting a daily update on howt he cleanse is going.
The cleanse, like i've said in earlier posts, is a moderate one, mostly an intestinal cleanse. I'm consuming milk, fruit and vegetable juice, as you can see, but no solids, really, and no added sugar or fat. |

DAY 2 highlights:
SALT WATER FLUSH.
Breakfast: coffee a cup of red grapes.
Lunch: fat-free milk +1 banana + chocolate flavored whey protein shake
Mid afternoon : 1 small mandarin orange, 4 oz juice
Dinner: . fat-free milk +1 banana + chocolate flavored whey protein shake
Bedtime: water, multivitamin.
Exercise: Bikram.
NOTES: I felt better yesterday at class - didnt want to goa t first, but will power prevailed, which is a huge thing because I'm totally not the determined, iron will type. Felt better through the day too, less tired than day 1.
The 2nd shake was an addition from day 1 - on day 1, I was ravenously hungry at bedtime, adn had trouble going to sleep. So added the 2nd shake on day 2, and had no trouble going to sleep.
The dinner shake is a good idea, but I'd rather not have a banana shake, 2 bananas ina day seems a bit too much for the stomach, and secondly, bananas at bedtime is just a sugar spike...
Will substitute the banana in the dinner shake with frozen berries.
ok, till tonight for day 3 reporting! |

Rep Power: 6 | | have some 15 minutes before I have to get to Bikram, so I thought i'll jot down some thoughts. The cleanse is helping me stay real and clear.
My struggle is with overeating. I have been having a disorder. I have been abusing food, a little in quality, adn definitely in quantity. When the urge hits, i feel like a zombie, on autopilot, towards the fridge or the store.
The reason I do this seems to be that I've been trying to sabotage my weightloss efforts. i cant get to the bottom of it, but I see that that is what it is. The main focus of this cleanse for me, therefore, is to get under control that urge to eat.
So far, and actually for the first time in all the time i can remember, I have it under control. The cleasne seems to be helping me. usually, when i go on a diet or a cleanse, I insist that my husband eat out or cleanse with me, because i was AFRAID of cooking or shopping, worried that i might give in to the temptation to eat. My whole relationship with food has bee screwed up.
The big difference this time is that I am cooking, every single day, and insist that my husband have his meals at home. My cooking is actually better - I am being creative, spontaneous in creating new recipes, all the while sticking to my cleanse agenda, and not even WANTING to even have a taste. There is no great exercising of will power - my mind is clear, there is no struggle. actually want to stick to my cleansing schedule.
I went shopping today for groceries - a trip I dread usually, because I WILL pick up that bar of chocolate or bag of nuts. every single time. sometimes every single day. Today, i went through the usual list, got to the check out, and the candy rack was right there - I was OK. I was able to stand by the candy rack and not be conflicted or tense. I was totally OK. i did'nt feel a thing. This is what I need, a neutral relationship to food. I want to be able to eat when hungry, eat just the right thing, jsut the right amount. I dont want to have emotional entanglements with food, for pete's sake!!
I have to learn to fix this feeling in my mind - the ability to feel OK around food.
I think i'll continue this cleanse till the urge to end it somehow goes away - afterall, i have no real reason to end it. I am getting plenty of nutrition, no hunger, no fatigue or reason for either. yes, that is the key. I'll continue this till i am no longer looking at the end date. And then, I'll include jsut the right things, just enough, and stay there. I feel I have arrived at an important, pivotal moment in my journey.
That apart, my mood is excellent. very stable, clear thoughts. No irritability, tons of chill
Must go shopping - later this month, i'll go pick up new yoga wear.
Thats that - will update day 3 (today's) reports tonight.
ciao! |

Rep Power: 6 | | DAY 3 highlights:
No salt water flush - just a liter of warm water*
Breakfast: coffee, 1/2 cup of red grapes, 1 small mandarain orange
Lunch: fat-free milk +frozen berries + chocolate flavored whey protein shake
Mid afternoon : 4 oz low sodium v8 veg juice
Dinner: . fat-free milk +1 banana + chocolate flavored whey protein shake
Bedtime: water, multivitamin.
Exercise: Bikram.
Oh, I've been forgetting to add! Everyday, I have a post bikram organic fruit popsicle - about 50 calories each, no added sugar!!
Notes : yeah my plans from day two got mixed a bit. I had wanted toa void 2 bananas in the day, and bought a blend of frozen berries so I can replace my dinner shake banana with berries, but I ended up having the berries in the afternoon and the banana at dinner :/ the berries were too frozen, I was really starved. :/ But I still managed to have just 1 banana, so. The berry blend was nice, but i think i put in too much berries, and I ended up getting an almost frozen solid slurpee that was frustrating to get through. Didn't have the patience for that at dinner time
Felt a bit tired through bikram - wanted to lie down a couple of times, but managed to complete the session without breaks.
* - I tooka break from SWF yesterday, and just had a whole bottle of really warm (not hot though, but quite warm) water first thing in the morning, and lo and behold! I had to got to the loo in a while! No diarrhea as with SWF, just a regular poop trip
Today is day 4, let us see how it goes. Ciao!! |

Rep Power: 6 | | DAY 4 highlights:
salt water flush
Breakfast: coffee, 1/2 cup of red grapes, 1 small mandarain orange
Lunch: fat-free milk +1 banana + chocolate flavored whey protein shake
Mid afternoon : gulp of juice before yoga. about 2 oz
Dinner: . 1 glass (80z) skim milk, 1 cup of grapes
Bedtime: water, multivitamin.
Exercise: Bikram.
So, about 2 cups of grapes and an orange - is taht too much sugar? I dont get a spike or anything, and i think it helps me through the day... so...
And yeah I cut out the shake last night. Didint feel up to it.
I also had a packet of emergen-c through bikram, I need it, day 4 is already starting to show :/ 25 calories though, and salts and minerals. Keeps me going through class.
BTW, can too mcuh vitamin c be bad? I am sure i get my vit c from the orange and grapes, not to mention my vitamin pill at night... Hm.. must do some research.
Day 5 good so far, go into a fight with my mom mostly her fault I think ;D
