I am starting this diary to keep myself in check and to hopefully meet some great people.
Today is day one of my journey to health and hopefully looking ok to boot.
I bit about me I am 33, married, two gorgeous but sometimes ferral kids.lol
I have been overweight for to long, I am approx 45 kilo's overweight and sick of not being able to buy nice clothes and being self consicous bout the way I look all the time.
Hubby and I are celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary in May and we are going on our first holiday - just the two of us, my wish is to be able to wear swimmers and go in the pool on our holiday and not just sit on the edge of the pool and wish I could go in but won't cause I am to damn fat.
Day 1 Food diary
Hope you guys don't mind but I would like to keep track of what I am eating each day as a reference
Breakfast; 2 scrambled eggs - yuk one I am not an egg person and two I don't do brekkie - I mean until today.....
Bout 11.00 at work my tummy rumbling, did not have time to make lunch - dilemma? no I was quite proud of myself I went to the shop and brought a zuccini fritarta wih salad, omg eggs again - was ok though
stopped in a health food shop and brought protein powder and protein bars
Afternoon tea. 1/2 protein bar
Dinner; grilled chicken breast and leafy salad........finally something yum.
I might add other than 11.00 am today I have not felt hungry at all - my fault I was hungry did not take anything for morning tea this morning.
Got home and went to gym where trainer killed me and my legs are still shaking...lol
I wish each and everyone of you wonderful motivational people success on your journey.

Thanks for the reply, I have been reading lots of posts tonight and see you have been posting a bit, you sound like a very motivated person and I am sure you will do very well.
This forum seems to be fantastic for support, I intend to be in here every day.

Brekkie light cereal w/ trim milk
Morning tea - protein shake
Lunch - ham, tomato, avocado and lettuce sand
Afternoon tea - 1/2 protein bar
Dinner - chinese resturant - beef and black bean and veg ( really proud of myself - no rice - no dessert)
Have felt really good again today have not been hungry at all, did not feel like I missed out at dinner at all, prob not best choice for dinner but was a pre arranged dinner with friends and as it was a smorgass board all you can eat, I was quite happy with my small plate and felt great after leaving - normally so full from eating way more than I should.
Also happy as I have managed to keep off the scales today, I am normally on them every day - I am going to try my best to weigh weekly - that is a challenge in itself.

Hi all
Well what a day, just emotional, my sister and her husband have seperated today and she is going to come and live with us for a while to get herself together, wow going to be a full house she has two gorgeous kids and with my two it will be fun.
So with all this going on I must say I still stuck with eating well, no time to exercise today but oh well she comes first.
Brekkie, Awesome hubby cooked me bacon and eggs
Snack, none got up a little late so brekkie was late
Lunch. Ham and salad sand
Snack, weight watchers jelly and fruit cup
Dinner, Griiled chicken breast and salad
Still getting through the day not feeling hungry, I am actually eating more than I ever have, my big problem was going a whole day and not eating till dinner and then eating everything in sight and of course it was all the wrong stuff.

Day 4
Today was so busy and I was so tired because I just could not sleep last night - few things on my mind and don't they seem 10 times worse when you are trying to sleep!!!!!
Brekkie Cereal w/ trim milk
Morning tea - 3/4 cup of frozen unsweetened mixed berries - they were nice for something different
Lunch eggs and salad
Afternoon tea 1 piece wholemeal bread - with a scrap of peanut butter
Dinner - 6 inch subway sweet onion chicken terriaki - 6grams of fat or less - omg i was really nice.
Worked out at gym tonight did a boxercise class - wonder how much pain ill be in tommorrow....lol
I am really looking forward to bed tonight, I am buggered, I hope everyone had a great day.

Just a quick entry, been flat out today, food pretty much same as normal, will make more effort tommorrow to make a beter diary entry.
Going to be bed now I have to be up at 6.00am in morning to go to the gym and I am no a morning person at all...... feel sorry for hubby and trainer tommorrow morning I may kill em.lol

First i want to say that you are doing an amazing job so far! You are doing great with the foods and you seem very motivated.
It is so hard to make yourself eat more foods that usual while dieting!lol
It just doesn't seem right but I think its working for me so far! I was used to eating only dinner!

Well I crawled myself out of bed at 6.00am and wen to the gym, made it through without killing hubby or trainer, very sore arms today as we where doing alot of boxing.

Day 15 (START OF 2008 LET'S GET IT POPPIN) WEIGHT 246.8 LOSS OF 12.2 LBS
Ok Finished my 22 day stretch, so had to weigh in again and was surprised that I had lost another 2.2 lbs so it was all good a great start to being 30. It’s weird though but now I feel like im getting into the best shape of my life but im 30 not 20 oh well I guess that’s why wisdom comes with age and youth is wasted on the young. Not that im saying im old but 30 is the new 20 ha. Anyway I didn’t do to much today for my birthday but I plan on doing it big this weekend since ill be off for 4 days so if you in the DFW be ready cause I’m coming and to everybody else who had a Birthday today and all my Capricorn people what it do and Happy birthday.

Ran 3 miles today about a minute faster then the last time I did it so that was good and I noticed I felt good longer while I was running, meaning I didn’t get fatigued until about the 1.5 mile point but its all good pretty soon ill be down in the 20 minute range. I see so many people at the gym trying to do what the next person is doing why people don’t just do them and not try doing a level or exercising that they know they can’t do. I know its intimidating going to place like LA fitness, 24 fitness and stuff like that but don’t get sucked into the hype eventually you’ll be where they at everything takes time.
My Tip:
Be sure to set your self some realistic goals, because losing weight especially a lot of weight will take time and you need to see and feel like you are on the right path and goals will help you accomplish that.

Day 16 (START OF 2008 LET'S GET IT POPPIN) WEIGHT 246.8 LOSS OF 12.2 LBS
Last day of work for about a week, can’t wait to get into a bed at night like regular people do. So far it has been a good week on the workout side and the eating side. I kind of got off on a bad foot on the calories today I was at about 2060, I knows it’s the meat that’s my weakness is the meat, but oh well the next time I eat beef I’ll try and go down to 6 oozes and eat more veggies to get me full. I also had read that if you try an apple before you eat you will want to eat less but it didn’t work for me lol. Anyways Im going to be out with some friends on Friday night so I guess im going to eat light all day and stick to the Vodka, grey goose or something like that now that aunt my drink but they say it has less calories so that’s what imp going to roll with. I plan on saving Super bowl Sunday as a cheat day. So Henn and coke here I come!!!!!
The Gym is starting to pay off more and more, I know its been 16 days into the new year but I been working out like a month now, I don’t really notice lift heavy but it seems like on average my ability to lift more has been on the up. I guess im different because I hate lifting weights I rather do cardio but I know weights in the end will allow me to get my metabolism up and keep me burning calories all day.
My Tip:
Make sure to eat a lot of fruit and veggies in your diet it seems like you can eat a lot of these two things and keep your calories down. I prefer watermelon is seems like you get more bang for your buck.

Well I was a bit down today, I am not sure if it is the early mornings or that I am not eating enough, I am just so tired and that is not me, anyway feeling a bit better tonight I spoke to my trainer and he seems to think that I am not eating enough and gave me some good idea's. So hopefully I will feel better tommorrow.
Got up a 6.00 and went to gym felt good after it then about and hour later started to wither. Can say I still have not been hungry in between meals, which is a good thing.
Tommorrow morning is weigh in, can't wait to see if this has been a good week.
